I worked at this company during my probation period for a short time. Training was delivered via Microsoft Teams while we were required to be in the office, which created a disconnect between trainers (who worked remotely) and new starters onsite. Our training group was also placed in a separate room away from the main call floor, which made onboarding feel quite isolated and limited day-to-day support.

The training itself felt heavily focused on completing mandatory modules, admin tasks, and obtaining certificates, rather than practical, hands-on guidance for the actual role. Expectations during training were strict, including keeping cameras on at all times and returning exactly on time from breaks, which made the environment quite rigid.

During this period I experienced migraines and followed the correct procedure by reporting sickness and seeking medical advice. I was dismissed while on sick leave and told this was due to missing training time and not being able to catch up within probation. I was not clearly informed that sickness absence during probation would be treated as grounds for termination, and I did not see this clearly set out in my contract or explained during onboarding.

Overall, my experience was challenging due to limited training support and how sickness absence was handled during probation.

Huntswood are the worst company to contact, they never pick up the phone and they never reply back to you when applying for jobs. The funny part is they k ow who is calling them when you call of your number that is registered on their system. I have made a few home clips re how many times I have contacted them and will release it soon on you tube.

I am writing to formally raise a serious and urgent complaint regarding the conduct and overall management style exhibited by the management team at Huntwood. Over an extended period, it has become increasingly apparent that the behavior of certain managers towards their employees is not only unacceptable but deeply troubling and detrimental to the workplace environment.

The manner in which these managers communicate with staff is, quite frankly, disrespectful, dismissive, and unprofessional. There have been numerous instances where employees have been spoken to in a condescending tone, subjected to unfair criticism, or treated without the basic respect and consideration that every individual deserves in a professional setting. This kind of conduct has significantly undermined employee morale and has fostered a toxic atmosphere that inhibits collaboration, productivity, and job satisfaction.

Employees are the backbone of any organization, and their wellbeing dignity should be paramount. Unfortunately, this fundamental principle appears to be overlooked or ignored by the current management team. The repeated failure to treat employees with respect and fairness is causing distress and frustration among the workforce, leading to a decline in motivation and engagement.

Moreover, it is deeply concerning that the management at Huntwood seems to consistently side with Scottish Power in ways that dismiss or invalidate legitimate concerns raised by employees. This perceived bias not only alienates staff but also erodes trust in leadership and damages the integrity of the management structure. Employees feel unheard and unsupported, which is unacceptable for any organization that values transparency and accountability.

The apparent unwillingness to address employee grievances fairly and the lack of open communication channels exacerbate the problem. Instead of fostering an environment of mutual respect and teamwork, the current approach creates division and resentment. This is detrimental not only to individual employees but to the overall success and reputation of Huntwood.

For the sake of the organization’s health and the wellbeing of its employees, I strongly urge Huntwood to take immediate and effective action. This should include:

Conducting a comprehensive review of managerial behavior and communication practices.
Implementing mandatory training programs focused on respectful communication, leadership skills, and conflict resolution.
Establishing clear, accessible channels for employees to voice concerns and report inappropriate conduct without fear of retaliation.
Demonstrating a genuine commitment to listening to, understanding, and addressing employee feedback and grievances.
Ensuring that management decisions are impartial and transparent, avoiding any undue favoritism or bias.

I trust that this complaint will be treated with the utmost seriousness it deserves. I look forward to receiving a detailed response outlining the specific steps that will be taken to rectify these issues and improve the working environment at Huntwood.

Worst place I have ever worked in my life. In my experience, employees are treated with little respect and are made to feel disposable rather than valued. Management was disorganised, inconsistent, and often seemed unclear about their own responsibilities.
Overall, the culture was toxic, stressful, and misleading. I would strongly advise anyone considering working here to think very carefully and look elsewhere. I would never work here again.

Horrible managers terminated my contract due to a medical condition which I told recruitment about when applying horrible company racists from employees would not recommended working here!!!!!

Always lying to you, managenet haven't got a clue, HR are terrible and dont care, i wouldnt recommend this company to my worst emeny, stay away if you can not worth the stress for slightly above min wage.

I’d give no stars if possible, absolutely shocking company I had not read the reviews before hand and now I feel silly.

Daughter was ill in hospital for weeks and they couldn’t have cared less, promise people progression possibilities but that’s a complete lie, they hand out conversations and disciplinary’s to save their own backsides, no regard for personal circumstances, give people constant anxiety with random unprofessional meetings “can I just grab you a sec” AVOID this company all the reviews are true, I couldn’t even take any paternity even after working there for a year and again they didn’t care that I had a newborn to care for.

Left and joined another job immediately and ended call on a member of their staff when they asked to do investigation on me as they don’t deserve my time, mindless robots they all are.

I applied 5 times in total for a job here as a team manager and I recieved absolutely no reply even if I was unsuccessful by my cv let me know.its so unprofessional to do that.

Horrendous company, lack of support, lie to agents and send out faulty or incorrect equipment then blame the agents for not being able to work. Any minor mistake they will pull you into a HR meeting. They lack empathy and don’t really care about your situation and only care about pleasing the client. Pick and choose when you can have annual leave. The company Caused great anxiety and stress and this is for the castle water campaign in Glasgow Empire house. Stay away to save yourself from trouble!!!

Halfway through a FTC I was unfairly stood down by the end client, despite consistently achieving high productivity and efficiency ratings. Normally in these circumstances you would expect some level of support from the agency you are doing a job for, or at the very least you would expect them to have your back. Not so with Huntswood. I managed to speak to the Senior Resourcing Consultant who hired me to try to ascertain where I stood, however it quickly became clear that he didn’t want to discuss the issue preferring to pass the buck to the umbrella company who Huntswood work in conjunction with. This lack of support is especially disappointing taking into consideration that I have successfully completed two previous assignments on behalf of Huntswood over the years. Based on this experience I would advise anybody not to be lured in by attractive daily rates because you will be working for a company who simply do not care about your wellbeing and are only interested in keeping their clients sweet.

If you want to be part of a corrupt, amateur circus act of unprofessional clowns , then hop on board and join huntswood.

Had a Barclays job April 22nd of this year , 2 weeks before my probation ends they just happen to have system issues (remote work) I then request a replacement laptop and after waiting weeks for one to arrive that works , I instead get sacked due to no work done , none of them have a brain cell between them utter shocking. Sat in the house best part of a month waiting for DPD I was then accused by a specific unprofessional man ho happened to be my Barclays line manager saying that I have cancelled my order , even though it states in front of me I can collect at depot ! At this point I already got bullied into the sack anyway by these low life thieving bullies !

Worked here between 2017-2020 as a contractor. Great place to work if you like the contractor environment. Depending on the role it’s target based. As long as you do your target and maintain high quality it’s a great place to work. The people there are great to work with too and managers are supportive. I really enjoyed my time there. Maybe I’ll go back there one day.

Unless you want to be constantly riddled with anxiety about whether or not you will have a job in a week's time, I strongly suggest you avoid these people at all costs. They are so hostile and if you make even the most minor mistakes you are shoved into a hr meeting and threatened with redundancy. Leaving that company was one of the best decisions I've made so far this year. Very pretentious and cynical and they employ vulnerable people just to get them out the door as soon as possible.

I started work at Huntswood working on the OVO campaign on 11/04/22 and today I was fired for gross misconduct. I am not kidding; I was 1 of the top performers in the group and I was even recently “promoted” to vet people`s work. I wrote on one customers account that I didn`t feel comfortable resolving a complaint for a second time for the simple reason I didn’t want to be seen falsifying the figures, I was being honest and trying to cover my back by my message, this was turned around on me and I was made to feel like a criminal. I loved the job, really until this happened.

I was informed that I was being “investigated” on Friday 16th March late in the afternoon, my weekend was ruined and I haven’t slept properly or even enjoyed a single meal since this time, I have suffered from heart palpitations and this caused me concern, this carried on until today when my disciplinary was supposed to be scheduled for 11:00 this morning. I was before time and ready and I received a message from the lady who was doing the meeting saying “Your early” (Check her spelling) to which I replied, “I am keen to get this all sorted and then I can get back to work”

I was then told that the original person who was going to chair the meeting had not even been included in the meeting email and as a result of this she would not be attending. I asked when it will take place and was told this Friday. I insisted on it going ahead today due to the negative health effects that this was giving me. This was honoured and indeed conducted by the lady who had said that I am early.

We had the discussion and the meeting was adjourned. After a few mins the meeting was re-established and I was told “unfortunately, we are going for dismissal” and at this point I said my goodbyes and left, dropped the Teams chat and attended an already arranged interview literally 30 minutes after I had been fired. I have a good feeling about my new job and they know full well why I was dismissed. I have now been in contact with a law firm based in Manchester who specialise in Employment Law, watch this space.

I have a great deal of inside information and I fully intend to go to the papers but not the Ombudsman because they only deal with unfair energy consumption issues, and believe me when I say they are really busy particularly with OVO.

I am expecting back lash from this review but nothing I have said is a lie and Huntswood, well – see the negative replies on here at present it is 86% 1 star and 14% 5 star, I bet those 5-star reviews are all paid company employees – back hander Sally.

This company needs investigating to the highest extent of the law.

18 years in service and an absolute credit to all within the company. Everyone strives to do their best and go to great lengths to support candidates, employees, associates and clients.

Stay clear! Once your 3 month probation comes up, you will be sack without notice (even though in the contract it says they need to give you a weeks notice)- the common excuse is “not enough progression” entire teams have been removed with that excuse. There is 0 support from management. You will be constantly patronised and told about you and your team’s failures. Outbound sales calls are actually cold calling. Management will not have your back at all. They will also find a way to withhold pay. You also need to pay to send your equipment back, once you’re fired.

This place is a joke to work for. The most stupid decision I’ve ever made in all my life was to be part of Huntswood. My experience from the start till the end was horrible. Unequal pay for employees who work the same job and have the similar work experiences. I would rather be homeless then to work for a company like Huntswood. What kinda company doesn’t every acknowledge and reply to your resignation email? this company gave me nothing but anxiety and depression. If you are reading this and are being offered a job here please take my advice and stay as far away as you can from this organisation. This company has zero work ethics and probably the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my professional life.

Absolutely awful company, withheld £853 of my wage when a courier picked up the laptop a week ago. Paid me SSP without my knowledge or consent. I wasn't sick, the laptop was faulty. I couldn't be angrier or more disappointed with my experience.

I have opened a court case against Huntswood as they have failed to provide my UI-19 document which is preventing me from getting my maternity leave government fund. I am 9 months pregnant and I was kept waiting in the office (2 pencarrow crescent ) for 7 hours for a document I ended up not receiving. This is preventing me from applying for UIF (maternity leave fund). It is not my fault that this company did not write me off as resigned back in 2021. I have arranged for a lawyer who will be escalating this matter on my behalf.

WORST COMPANY TO WORK FOR!!! They do not care about you you’re just a number for them. The client Barclays had terminated my contract for no reason whatsoever even though I had completed all my tasks. Huntswood said to me they won’t offer me any other roles. Their pay rate is good, however I am very upset with how they handled my case and treated me. They have loads off jobs available and they are not willing to offer me one even though I completed all tasks & passed my assessment.
