I approached 4 different firms regarding quotes for a UK Probate for my late father's estate. I provided all 4 with exactly the same info/documentation. I received full and detailed quotes from the other 3, IMD wanted to charge me 700GBP for a 1 hour Teams meeting and "fact finding session" before they could manage a quote. Then kept calling me to see if I was interested. Something the other firms didn't do at all.

Andrew has been great. He kept me updated throughout the process and he got the job done.

I reached out to IMD regarding a delay with my citizenship application. Jarmila Entezari got back to me with a very detailed and honest explanation of my options. She was extremely candid about the realities of the process and didn't just push me to pay for a service. My approval actually came through shortly after, so I didn't end up needing to instruct them, but I was really impressed by her professionalism and the time she took to help me. I recently discovered my estranged father (left Me when I was a toddler) died in 2015. I contacted IMD Solicitors to advise in getting a copy of His Will, just out of curiousity. It costs £16 to order it online. They, Julita Figiel, went from a free 15 min call to a £458 strategic plan… basically, if My name wasn’t on the will, it would be £442 fee for NOTHING! And this is why Lawyers are SCUM!

IMD handled my international divorce with real expertise and professionalism. The cross-border issues were complex, but they explained each step clearly, responded promptly to my questions, and kept me well informed throughout. I felt my interests were in very good hands and was pleased with the outcome. Highly recommended for anyone facing a difficult international family matter.

They've booked me in their highly advertised "free expert consultation" only for them to get a phone operator to call me to say you have to pay over £600 for this consultation. Very misleading and very rude (less than 2 minutes call).

IMD Solicitors are representing my ex-wife in relation to the resolution of our financial affairs following divorce. The solicitor involved is Paula Piquer Ruz.

Unfortunately, the service and communication we have both experienced has been extremely poor.

A clear timetable was provided stating that me ex-wife expected to serve her Form E by close of business on 22 May, with questionnaires to be exchanged within 7 days thereafter and replies to questionnaires within 14 days after that. Based on that timetable, the questionnaire stage should have been completed by around 12 June.

It is now 18 June and, to date, no questionnaires have been received, no explanation has been provided, and no revised timetable has been communicated. None of the proposed next steps appear to have been completed, and both myself and my ex-wife have been left in the dark about what is happening.

I have personally sent multiple chaser emails, and my ex-wife has also followed up several times. Despite this, there has been no meaningful update or communication.

Given the time-sensitive and emotionally difficult nature of divorce and financial proceedings, this lack of communication is extremely disappointing and has caused unnecessary frustration and delay.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend IMD Solicitors to anyone seeking a swift, clear, and properly communicated resolution to their legal affairs.

Update:

IMD Solicitors have responded publicly saying they are “sorry to hear” of my disappointment and inviting me to contact them directly for an explanation of the current position.

This response is difficult to take seriously given that I have already sent five direct emails chasing for updates, none of which have been responded to.

They already have my details and have had every opportunity to contact me directly with an explanation, yet instead have chosen to respond publicly with what appears to be little more than a generic statement.

In my view, this only reinforces the concerns I raised in my original review — namely a lack of communication, lack of urgency, and a failure to progress matters in line with the timetable they themselves set.

I instructed IMD Solicitors in relation to a complex TOLATA matter which proceeded to arbitration.
While the final outcome was not what I had initially hoped for, I found James Legg and his team to be professional, responsive and supportive throughout what was a challenging and often demanding process.

It’s been at least two months since I began speaking with IMB. I have sent emails with various information needed. I was contacted by one of their solicitors over a month ago, who said he would look into what I’d sent, I also sent more. He then stopped answering. An excuse of holiday was given and now, another month later, he as still not replied. Even after I spoke to IMB who confirmed his holiday and that he would be calling me.
I feel totally let down.

While I never got the chance to see how good they were at navigating legal landscape of my case, I saw enough to know that an element of professionalism and common decency is lacking. And while I appreciate that being highly regarded can be overwhelming they should have the basic courtesy and decency to decline work instead of wasting precious time while the client waits for a response they were promised.
