What can be said that hasn't already been stated? This is the 4th pair of F-LITE MAX shoes, and they will continue to be my "go-to" shoes for anything fitness-related. Versatile, quality-built, and just the best all-around fitness shoes that I have ever worn.
Pro-Tip with the new design;
Even though the shoe size is stated as a "medium", they do have a wide toe-box, so we of the "wide-foot" persuasion will need to go up a 1/2 size for the shoe to fit perfectly.

First run in Waterproof Jacket, total fail soaked to the bone! Now expected to pay money to send back? Waste of time, do yourself a favour and don't bother. Expensive rubbish. Obviously sent a faulty item not good enough.

Loyal customer, but the Trailfly V2 is a major step backwards
Ten years running in Inov8. Zero drop from the start.
Multiple 100ks and 100-milers, all in Inov8 G270s and the models before them. I haven't had a blister in years. These shoes have been exceptional, and I've recommended them to anyone who'd listen.
Then the Trailfly V2 arrived.
First run. Heels rubbed raw. I tried taping, tried adjusting lacing, tried breaking them in gradually. The heel cup is shallow, sits awkwardly, and no amount of fiddling fixes it. I've since found I'm not alone -- this is a known issue across multiple people in the trail community.
I'm now running in Altras waiting for Inov-8 to sort the design.
The rest of the shoe is excellent. The upper, the drop, the grip -- all there. Which makes this more frustrating, not less.
One structural tweak and these would be brilliant. As they stand, they're unwearable for long days on trail.
Please fix the heel cup, Inov-8. You had something special and a recurring customer for life.
