Having 24 hr access is great. There are loads of equipment and always staff around.
Having a gym tour and the equipment explained is essential for getting the best out of your visits.
The PT’s are all friendly and knowledgeable. I am with Kieran for my 1-1 sessions and really enjoy them.
The only negative is there are not enough yoga & Pilate classes.

Gym is clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Easily accessible now that they have fixed the WiFi and the instructors are brilliant with the classes and take pride in their appearance. Thank you for quality service!

Shit gym, struggle accessing most times. Staff very unwilling to help. Fitness instructors don’t look too healthy

Having trained across the majority of gyms in Preston. This one ticks all the boxes. Has everything that you need and more.

Like all gyms it gets busy about 6 till 7pm

I really enjoy training at JD and the overall atmosphere is good. My PT, Lauren, is absolutely fab – knowledgeable, motivating and genuinely the main reason I keep coming back.

However, the air conditioning situation really needs sorting. When it’s warm outside the gym becomes ridiculously hot, to the point it’s uncomfortable and off-putting. If I didn’t have scheduled sessions with Lauren, I’d honestly have looked for another gym because of this.

There’s also a clear need for more weight machines. There’s plenty of space, and increasing the number would reduce queues and people waiting behind you, which can make workouts feel rushed and awkward.

Sort the temperature control and expand the weights area, and this would be a genuinely great gym. Hence the 3* star review and not 5.

Lovely gym, all the personal trainers are so nice and willing to help with everything. After a year of on and off training I finally decided to get a PT to keep me dedicated and achieve my goals. Lauren has been absolutely amazing, not only do I now feel comfortable on the gym floor using equipment and doing athletic workouts, my fitness, athleticism, strength and confidence has increased massively. Such a friendly face and always encouraging and tailoring to niggles and different goals/needs. I don’t think i’d have the dedication to have made the progress I have without her and every little win is recognised and celebrated! Would recommend to anyone looking to get into the gym or to build confidence in the gym as Lauren is so supportive and takes the time to ensure the mechanics of every movement is perfect to avoid injury and maximise performance.

JD GYMs Preston is such a lovely place to train, the staff are fantastic and their is a community feel, and every staff member is approachable.

JD is an incredibly friendly place. The staff are top tier.
It’s clean and tidy.
Everything is in order.

I visited JD gym Preston with my daughter and was welcomed so warmly by the staff!

I joined the Body Combat class with Olga and absolutely loved it. She was energetic, motivating, and made the session fun while still giving us a really good workout.

The changing rooms were also spotless and really well maintained, with everything I needed to get ready comfortably afterwards.

Overall, a wonderful experience. Thank you to the staff and to Olga for a fantastic class. I’ll definitely be back!

First visit today and nothing but good comments. I was shown round by Lauren who explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. I am very impressed with the lovely clean changing rooms, I am very happy with all the equipment they have. I am hoping to try some of the classes.

We have done 2 spin classes so far and they were brilliant. 🤩

I have been out of the country for some time and after returning I have decided to rejoin JD. It was so hot in the gym I had to leave after 20 mins. No AC no fans! The timetable of classes is not great, no classes at lunch time. I really can only join classes at lunchtime as can my friends and colleages. I am not thinking of cancelling my mmbership and looking at total fitness.

Not recommend. My daughter stop walking from 5 july.That have been reported.
Today they charge us as normal.
Absolutely disappointed!
