Great place and if you don’t like the item returns are easy

I’ve shopped online and at the Miami West Flagler location. The 1st time I visited the store the cashier asked if I had any discount coupons and directed me to their website so that I could download one. She helped me to save 25%of the cost. Since then I’ve had to return a couple items which was seamless. I’m really happy I found this store especially now that staying home is the norm. I’ve gotten some really great deals and have refurbished many items at my home :)

Fulfilled order with wrong size, blamed me

18 May Checked local JoAnn store for a box I found on their website. They had a smaller one that would not fit what I needed to put in it.

19 May Ordered the larger box online, because its dimensions would fit what I need to put in it.

19 May received a email saying my order had been fulfilled, and I could come in and collect it. (Raised a red flag, because the store was out of the size I ordered.)

26 May went to local store to collect it. Could immediately see it was the wrong/smaller box. I rejected it and asked for refund. The clerk said okay, and pressed buttons on the cash register, but did not give me anything. I thought this meant it had been put back onto my credit card.

28 May Credit card showed no sign of a refund, so I sent a message via the JoAnn website requesting the refund. Provided the order number, but they blew it off.

3 Jun Sent a 2nd message via the JoAnn website requesting a refund, but this was also blown off.

9 Jun Went in person to request a refund. A senior clerk was summoned, and she told me I could not get a refund. Before leaving I was curious to see whether their inventory had ever gotten the larger boxes, and I saw they had not. For some reason the senior clerk came after me and said she could try to press more buttons in a back office, and then more buttons at a cash register. I was amazed when, after all my trouble, she insisted on refunding me 11 cents short of what I paid. She continually argued with me, taking the stance that I was an idiot who forgot what size box I wanted and ordered, and too stupid to remember the amount I paid.

Terrible

Terrible. Ordered a sewing machine that was shipped April 5 with the worst service ever, FedEx. Original delivery date April 11. Shipment never arrived. Appears lost in transit. On April 15 called FedEx who told me to call Joann and have them place a trace on the order. Problem is, calls to Joann's customer service receive instructions to email them and then hangs up (what business does that)! Emailed them on April 14...no response 3 days later. I have no machine, no refund, and no communication from Joann. Will NEVER purchase from them again, online or in store. Had the same issue with an order from Walmart who also uses FedEx. Walmart automatically refunded the order when they saw that it had experienced a delay that appeared to indicate a lost item. Will be reviewing FedEx also.

I LOVE shopping at the 2 stores in…

I LOVE shopping at the 2 stores in Louisville. The employees may be a bit quirky but very nice.

Customer service, however is terrible. I spent a month of emailing trying to understand why I didnt get my fabric. It was only $10 but I am retired.
I finally called and was told the store I wanted to pick up at now has 15 yards at a lower price. This didnt make me happy.

I’ve always had a good experience in…

I’ve always had a good experience in these stores. The employees are always professional and helpful when asked for help or their experience on a project. I also appreciate the classes on different skills ( ex: serger classes for beginners—- we even get to bring our own machine and they teach us individually when needed on things like proper threading of the machine!)
I would highly recommend this company.

Poor customer service

Visit number 1: The store did not honor their printed coupon. The coupon was for 70% off of ribbon. The store changed the deal to buy one get two free. I wanted four. They were going to charge me full price for the fourth role. They had to call a manager for resolution. The manager did finally give me the fourth roll at the discounted price.
Visit number 2: I wanted to buy 1/4 yard of material. Problem 1. The cutting station is not near the material. Problem 2: You need to type into a KIOSK that you want material cut. There were 4 names ahead of mine. Problem 3: Only one agent was at the cutting station and she was on the phone. The one customer at the station had a double order. Problem 4: There were other agents walking around the store, not engaged with customers. None of them came over to assist the one agent at the cutting station. We left the store without the material we wanted. This store is in Lexington, KY. We will think long and hard before returning to this store.
