Firm hold hair spray new formula is awful - please CHANGE BACK TO THE PREVIOUS FORMULA😢
I used to apply in the morning and not have to worry about it until the evening...not anymore!
I am busy buying travel sized other makes of hairspray and trying to find something that works as well as the old formula.
If you change the formula of a product from premium to ordinary, you will lose loyal, happy customers who go from saying "You must try this great range" to " don't bother!"
Its never too late to say "oops"

How disappointing John Frieda hair products are now the formula has been changed, for the worse.
I have used their products for many years and could not understand initially why my hair looked terrible!
Now I have checked on Trustpilot, and see that I am not alone in my opinion.
Others have had the same experience. Wont be recommending their products any more and definitely will NOT BE BUYING ANY!

I had been using John Frieda Detox shampoo/conditioner as it smells great and left my hair in great condition. I always bought in bulk as I never wanted to be caught short of the product.
Following the recent formula change, that actual range has been discontinued.
I hoped that if I chose a similar shampoo/conditioner from JF I would get similar results.
How disappointing to have what can only be described as a flat, strange scented white formula that feels thin and now leaves my hair frizzy/dry looking.
Won’t be buying JF again.

To add to what others have said the new formulation of Frizz Ease miraculous recovery shampoo and conditioner is awful. Having used it, very happily, for years the new formulation has left my hair feeling oily and ‘coated’. Won’t be buying it again!

After many decades of using John Frieda Volume Lift shampoo my wife and I are now looking for a replacement shampoo because John Freida changed the formula and we find it to be totally different and unacceptable. We both found that it made our hair look flat and limp unlike the original formula.
John Frieda should look to reinstate the original formula shampoo, or is the change in formula due to cost cutting I wonder?

I have naturally curly hair and have been using Frizz Ease since its launch but the new 2026 formula is so disappointing I am having to look for alternative products.
The extra strength serum was the alternative when the Friss Ease formula was updated around 10 years ago, now that isnt good enough. Its consistancy is thin and I find I need more to coat all my hair.
I have some of the last formula at my holiday home and so comparing the two has been easy for me....the new range is definately poor in comparison.

Disappointed with my recent buy of John frieda friss ease curl shampoo and conditioner not only has the volume changed but the product results is disappointing leaving my hair limp and lifeless and lasted a very short time so goodbye John frieda hair products you have lost its magic and my custom 😢

Air dry foam in new packaging. I have been told that the formulation hasn’t changed. That rubbish I now have shiny itchy skin on my face chin and cheeks. My eye lids and under eye area are dry and peeling. Now trying order the old version of the product from Amazon.

Hätte ich erst die Bewertungen gelesen hätte ich es vermutlich nicht gekauft.
Standen im Rossmann und wollten eigentlich unser 08/15 Shampoo kaufen.
Da meinte meine Frau "Lass uns mal was neues, probieren"
Ihre Wahl fiel auf John Frieda, Frizz Repair oder wie das heißt.
Nach dem ersten Mal waren die Haare deutlich weicher und kämmbarer.
Vor allem bei meiner Frau, sie hat schon immer das Problem, schnell fettender Ansatz und extrem trockene, brüchige Längen und Spitzen.
Haare auch am zweiten Tag nicht fettig, Längen deutlich seidigen.
Sind gleich los, haben noch den Conditioner gekauft.
Auf Langzeit kann ich jetzt noch nichts sagen, brennen, Juckreiz etc. hatten wir nicht.
Ach ja, ich bin auch sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt 😁

I've been using the Dream Curls shampoo, conditioner and mousse for years as they were the best products for taming my thick curly hair, however the formula has changed and now just doesn't work for me. The shampoo doesn't feel like it cleans my hair properly, the conditioner doesn't have the same slip, is heavy and leaves my hair oily and over moisturised and the mousse is now to creamy and does nothing to hold my curl definition.

I have used the amazing original John Frieda flawlessly straight shampoo for a few years and it works miracles to tame and smooth my thick hair without any sticky residue - it always feels and looks amazing.

However, when I could not find it in the shops I bought the infinite smooth, thinking it would be even better, but was bitterly disappointed! It smells awful, and it left my hair feeling as though it was covered in lard. When I dried my hair it looked a mess and felt horrible. I had to rewash my hair and will never use it again. Waste of money. Why in the world would you change a perfect product that everyone loves just for the sake of it? Utterly senseless.

Ich war bisher immer total zufrieden mit meinem Frizz Ease Wunder-Reparaturshampoo. Irgenwann kürzlich wurde das bekannte Design und auch die Zusammensetzung geändert, was leider für mich ein kleiner Schock bedeutete. Wo vorher meine Haare weich, seidig und fluffig nach der Haarwäsche waren, sind sie jetzt beschwert und fühlen sich auch nach extrem langem spülen noch so an, als seien noch Rückstände im Haar. Ich hoffe so sehr, dass die alte Rezeptur zurückkehren wird. Kaufe noch die letzten Restbestände der alten Version solange mancherorts noch verfügbar und werde danach leider die Marke wechseln müssen. Sehr schade.😕

My family and I have being long long time users of John Frieda product in particular Frizz Ease range. Not only the packaging has changed but the composition as well and the result is so so disappointing even dreadful: no more dream curls, no more shiny hair with the Dream Curls and the Infinite Smooth made my hair frizzier and my scalp itchy. I won't recommend John Frieda anymore . The word vegan should have been a warning. I will have to look elsewhere .

Absolutely disgraceful - do not buy - I have used this for years - when they changed the packaging they must have changed the ingredients

Ich war immer zufrieden mit der Frizz ease Serie von John Frieda. Aber innerhalb von zwei Jahren die Preise von 6,99 EUR auf 9,99 EUR zu erhöhen geht einfach gar nicht. Das ist eine Frechheit. Daher werde ich nun definitiv andere Produkte kaufen. Ich glaube mit diesen Preisen vergraulen sie viele Kunden.

I hate the new formulation dream curls range mouse. Please change it back. It is awful. It is not effective. It does not give dream curls like the old formula. It gives a big frizz ball and does not hold the curls. I am now going around town trying to buy up the old stock where I can. I have used the old formula for over a decade. I won't be buying the new formula again and now have to try to find an alternative. Major own goal.

Just used the new volume lift thickening mousse. After years of using the original mousse , less than impressed with new formula . It snags when you are blow drying your hair! Changing to another product.

I’ve used John Freida products for years and without fail regardless of the product they have worked well and I’ve never had a reaction to them. Today I tried 2 products that I assume were just new packaging of products I’ve used for years. One purple shampoo to get rid of brassy hues and also conditioners for dark hair. First the smell of the shampoo was a shock and it almost burned my skin it reacted to it quickly. The conditioner also felt wrong. I’ve come out of the shower with frizzy hair (doesn’t seem to work properly), itchy and sore scalp and swollen neck glands afterwards. This isn’t just new packaging - it’s new ingredients that are not as well tested for allergic reactions in all likelihood. While the reasoning is given as Vegan, the likelihood is also cost as this smells like cheap products. Suggest John Freida need to add Warning labels to skin test as different ingredients.

Ich habe das Shampoo und die spülung von John Frieda geliebt.Auch wenn es sehr teuer ist war es für mich das beste Shampoo.Aber ich habe mir diese woche die neue Formel gekauft da die alte Formel nicht mehr vorhanden war.Ich bin so mega enttäscht.Der Duft ist sooo mega schrecklich.Das stört mich am meisten.Die Formel schlechter.Viel flüssiger.Und die Tube für 9.95€ nicht gerade ein Schnäppchen.Für die alte Formel hätte ich das Geld susgegeben.Jetzt hab ich mir natürlich 7 Tuben auf Vorrat gekauft die ich aber nicht mehr nutze da ich den Geruch nicht mag.Leider muss ich mir jetzt ein anderes Produkt suchen.Bin echt sehr enttäuscht.

I have used Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery for many years, and its been the best shampoo & conditioner i have ever found for my hair.
However, the new formula is awful! It's just like washing your hair in only water. The new shampoo & conditioner are very runny & actually matt my hair up.
I appreciate that Frizz Ease have tried to update their products to become more vegan friendly, and I am all for that, but sadly i will not be using Miraculous Recovery anymore.
