A dreamy holiday with beautiful people and the most wonderful skipper Lukas who went out of his way to always take care of us and made us feel like family.
The company however is only good as long as nothing goes wrong. On the first night they had us sign a paper saying we’re responsible if the dingy breaks. In the middle of the trip, several boats had the motors off their dingies stolen. Our crew alone had to collectively pay 1000 euros for this. The contact with customer service following this incident can only be described as laughable and after many people voicing their complaints, they eventually offered a voucher (for less than the full amount) on future JTC trips. I wouldn’t trust them again so personally the voucher is a wash and frankly a slap in the face - it just further benefits the company.
So hopefully you’ll have an amazing trip if you don’t mind bringing extra cash for the things JTC don’t want to have insurance on.

Erst war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ein Segeltörn wirklich das Richtige für mich ist, weil ich zuvor keinerlei Erfahrung im Segeln hatte.
Doch diese Reise hat sich wirklich mehr als gelohnt!
Es war ein richtiges kleines Abenteuer.
Der Skipper und die Crew waren fantastisch und auch die Landschaft Sardiniens war einfach umwerfend.
Ich bin so froh, diese Reise gemacht zu haben!

Our recent sailing trip was highly enjoyable and well-executed. The organization was smooth and efficient. We visited a great mix of beautiful bays and ports.

The true highlight of the trip, however, was Skipper Julien. His approach to teaching sailing was exceptional; he explained maneuvers and concepts with both clarity and patience. Onboard, Julien contributed to a positive and welcoming atmosphere for everyone

Die Route der Amalfiküste entlang war wunderschön, die Crew war super und der Skipper war top. Lediglich das Boot hätte die ein oder andere kleinere Reparatur nötig gehabt. Dennoch würde ich es sofort wieder buchen.

Annika was absolutely amazing! I was injured during the trip, but she made everything so much easier for me on the hikes and throughout the journey. She was incredibly accommodating and always thoughtful. The crew overall was fantastic – it honestly felt like a family within just a week. Annika did a wonderful job organizing everything and making sure all requests were met. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Wir waren eine super Crew bei unserem Outdoor-Mix auf Mallorca. Die Aktivitäten waren super! Wir hatten jede Menge Spaß beim Wandern, Kajak fahren, E-Bike fahren und gemeinsamen Kochen. Das Haus lag direkt am Meer. Auf der großen Veranda haben wir entspannte Abende verbracht. Wir hatten mit Felicia den für uns besten Guide. Sie hat sich super gekümmert und war gleichzeitig ein Teil von uns. Wir hatten so viel Spaß! Es wird nicht die letzte JTC-Tour gewesen sein.

1 Woche Madeira und das mit einer Crew, die nicht hätte besser passen können. Unfassbar viele Schöne Momente/Erinnerungen und die Möglichkeit selbst daran zu wachsen und über sich selbst zu lernen. Ich hatte viele Zweifel davor und wurde in allen Erwartungen übertroffen.

Beste Erfahrung in meinem Leben! Hab so tolle Leute in Island kennenlernen dürfen und hab dabei noch so ein schönes Land im Roadtrip gesehen. Etienne war mega! Gefühlt war er zum Schluss nicht mehr nur unser Guide sondern ein Mitreisender.
Alles war super organisiert und wir konnten spontan noch Stops anpassen auf der Fahrt. Ich würde es jedem empfehlen!

I had a great time with my crew and skipper. The boat was in nice condition and the route was well arranged. They have professionals checking the weather and all relevant conditions making sure the route makes sense and we can sail as much as possible.
The pricing is also fair, especially considering the price of chartering a boat on your own. In the beginning of the trip we talked about our expectations, and they were well managed.

Die Yacht hat nicht ausreichend Kapazität für 11 Leute. Keine Duschen. Nur Zeitdruck.
Richtig gut nur für die Leute, die wirklich gerne segeln und zelten

Context: We were a group of friends that booked the whole boat plus some of us knew the skipper. It was my first time on a sailboat. Review: I always felt safe, the skipper did a really good job in instructing us, explaining everything (if needed again and again ;) ), he was very patient. I like the concept to participate in the actual sailing - I've come to be a pro at steering the boat :D The information given by Join the Crew is helpful and accurate. Everything is well organised. The area Olbia/La Maddalena is beautiful, lots of bays with turquoise water and we've seen dolphins twice. I would do it again :)

The plan was perfect with the learning process, went very smooth and enjoyable.

The skipper was amazing - always felt safe, he knew a lot and shared his passion for sailing patiently and enthusiastically.
The information provided prior to the trip was great - helpful, interesting, right amount. You can tell they have a lot of experience and care about you having a great trip. I appreciated especially the inputs on ecological options.
And I mean - it was sailing, for a week, in Sardinia. What else do I need to say? Of course it was absolutely amazing (sunrise, sunset, waves, wind, dolphins, beaches, sails,.....). And the skipper really brought it all together.
Only downside: Our group didn't have a common understanding of the ratio of swimming and sailing, which made it hard sometimes. Not in the hands of JTC though, since we booked as a whole group.

From beginning to end an absolutely amazing experience. A wonderful skipper, competent, well organized, very sympathetic and fun, a fantastic crew with wonderful people who will surely remain friends, and a colorful mix of great sailing, beautiful bays, awesome food and crew highlights, all of which I take along as beautiful memories. Can highly recommend!

Es war nicht nur meine erste Buchung über JTC, sondern auch mein erster Segeltörn. Es war eine schöne abwechslungsreiche Woche mit vielen Meilen, eine tolle Crew und ein super Skipper.
