My kids, 4 and 6, love it! We bought it for them a few months ago. They use it independently and have their own tokens to listen to what they're in the mood for. What's amazing is being able to connect to Spotify without their needing my phone! I strongly recommend for parents like us who don't want unnecessary screen time;)

We've had our Jooki for 2+ years and the kids still love it! We recently had an issue connecting to it, but Customer Service was a great help! And it's working again, no problem. Turns out one of the kids had accidentally put it on airplane mode, which you never would have known just by looking at it. The fix was super easy, but I never would have thought of it on my own.
To anyone who has left a bad review ... have you tried contacting Customer Service directly? They are so helpful!

My jooky never worked properly, and now doesn’t turn on, was a very bad/sad experience. I won’t recommend anyone to buy it.

Our daughter loves the Jooki! We have had it about a year now and it’s held up well. Set up was a bit difficult, as finding the songs we wanted to buy as MP3 files was a bit tricky, and we used Amazon music but it’s a pain to download your music files. We made some tokens play MP3 playlists and some play Spotify playlists. Our daughter likes both. There are 2 knobs on the Jooki. Our daughter can use the volume knob easy enough, but does not have the wrist strength to use the skip song knob. So I would recommend the company change that. However, all that being said, our daughter still uses the Jooki to play songs and we love not having to use our phones for her music!

Super responsive to the issue and walking through available solutions.

I have contacted the customer service twice. Once before buying to get more information about the different offers and once because my daughter put the box into airplane mode and I had no idea what happened.
They reacted in no time (even on a Sunday - guys you’re allowed to have work life balance), were very helpful and so friendly.
Product itself is the greatest kids player I know of. Thank you.

Amazing customer service. Amazing product. Had a challenge connecting to WiFi. They responded quickly and helped me troubleshoot the issue and it worked perfect. My son (6yrs) LOVES his jooki

Our kid loves this thing. After about 2 years of owning it, it stopped working for like a week and Jooki customer service was quick in getting back to me via email with troubleshooting tips so I could fix it (somehow I got it into airplane mode). When I got it started again my kid's face LIT UP from across the room and she went straight for the Encanto token (I put the whole soundtrack on one token) and started playing it for the millionth time. Thanks Jooki haha.

We have had our Jooki for over 2 years and love it for its flexibility and well thought out design.
We recently had an issue with wifi connectivity and Jooki responded within an afternoon to help us solve our problem.
Not our first experience with them and as always, absolutely fantastic customer service! Great company 👌

I just got a jooki 2 and the initial impression of the packaging, web site etc are very good.

Then come the hurdles.
1. To set it up the first time you are obliged to have, in my case, an android phone, download their app. up to here not so strange.
the strange part is where you will have to register and give some of your data to them. Without this you can't use the product at all. It gets worse. Then you need to give location permissions and only then you can configure the wifi on the product.. Yes the wifi.
So after you connect with bluetooth you need to configure the Wifi. this wifi is one of your choice but typically the one from your home. this means again, that you give access to your home wifi to an unknown box that does an unknown number of things.
then...you need to connect with your phone to the same wifi network where the jooki box is and only then you are allowed to interact with the product.
In summary: without wifi it doesn't work. (forget about hidden Wifi, forget about VPN's you might have, forget about security in general). The USB cable is not used to connect to a PC at all. it's really just for charging and nothing else.
2. The reason it get a 2 star instead of a one star is the fact that once you get it working properly, and you're able to send the MP3 files (you can also use spotify, which I didn't want) it's really easy to use and the sound quality is not so bad.
3. to get to the 3 star at this point everything must be fully ok...it's not. the orange buttons only work if you rotate them fully. for this you need a certain strength and dexterity. so my 3 year old son is completely frustrated and sad because he keeps rotating the knob but never enough for it to work.
4. The figurines are ok, the material is soft to the touch and are relatively easy to fit in the music slot. Overall construction looks solid although I haven't put it much to the test because as I mentioned my son is really sad that the buttons are not usable.

Suggestion to jooki. Please really improve on the connection method of this product. I'm not exactly illiterate (I'm an IT engineer) and I didn't find it user friendly at all.

Great and fast service. I entered the wrong postal code. Problem was solved quickly and friendly. Little one also loves the new Jooki player!

The jooki stops very frequently (multiple times in an hour). The lights stay white, but no music. The jooki can't be turned off when this happens and needs a hard reset. Very disappointing for my daughter. I had hoped for a better experience for my daughters birtday present.

Update:
The servicedesk helped me to reset the Jooki, now it seems to work the way it should. They even offered me a new Jooki if the problems continued.

While the Jooki is awesome and is a great concept, we are disappointed by the control buttons on it. They are difficult to use/ to turn when choosing/skipping a song. Such an expensive item should be easy-to-use for the child who uses it, but it is even difficult for an adult to use. The button needs to be turned A LOT to skip a song and the tokens on the Jooki can get in the way. A different system should be used to skip the songs.
Also, the extra tokens (to be purchased separately) do not have a loop on them and cannot be gathered together and tied to the Jookie. The Jookie cannot easily connect to any wifi, it has to be specifically matched to an address, which is a pain when travelling and wanting to change songs. The volume control system only has two settings, which is also a little annoying. Aside from that, the speaker box sounds ok and the tokens are easy to install on the Jooki. It recharges fast enough and last for a long car ride which is handy.

Wir haben uns den Jooki letztes Jahr von Freunden aus den USA mitbringen lassen, da es in Europa gerade keine gab. Der Kleine kam direkt gut damit zurecht und hat viel Freude mit der Box. Das Einrichten ist sehr einfach und die Bedienung auch. Bisweilen dauerte die Verbindung zwischen Box und App jedoch recht lange und wenn die Kinder die Token häufig wechseln, kommt die Box manchmal nicht hinterher und hängt sich auf - was aber auch an unserer Internetverbindung liegen kann.
Ende letzten Jahres hatten wir dann plötzlich Probleme und haben den Kundenservice kontaktiert.
Dieser hat umgehend geantwortet und uns unkompliziert und super freundlich weiter geholfen. Die Box ging dann eine Weile wieder gut, bis sie dann leider doch komplett den Geist aufgegeben hat. Der kontaktierte Kundenservice hat sofort einen unkomplizierten Umtausch angeboten. Obwohl wir die Box in den USA gekauft hatten, hat mir das Jooki-Team ein Returnlabel für Belgien geschickt und die Kosten für die Sendung übernommen. Keine Woche später war das neue Gerät bei uns und läuft super! Dank neuer Updates sogar noch besser/ schneller als der Vorherige.
Die Box an sich ist gut (kleine Abzüge für die Software, die bei uns teils nicht so hundertprozentig lief), aber der Kundenservice ist top!!! Binnen weniger Stunden oder auch Minuten erhält man eine super freundliche und hilfreiche Antwort. Für jedes Problem wird eine Lösung angeboten.

We ordered a jooki for our son. We had some technical issues at first. We contacted the jooki team by email and they responded within minutes. The problem was easy to solve with their instructies.
The jooki team is very kind and has a great customer service.
The jooki is beautifully made, great quality and my son plays with it every single day. For him it was the perfect gift. A great product.
We recommend jooki to our friends and family and we are sure no one would regret buying one.

We are the biggest fan of this brand and our Jooki! After two years the Jooki wasn’t charging anymore but the company went above and beyond to send us a new Jooki, even to the UK! That’s what we call customer service! Thank you so much! Our kids loooove their Jooki and the best thing about it is that you never have to buy any additional songs, audiobooks etc! ****

My daughter is very happy with her Jooki player. The tokens are easy to connect to her favorite playlists and the device is very easy to use. We have a disco party every night. Fantastic!
