She uses fantastic products which is so important and she really cares about the condition of my hair. I visited Josh Hair and Beauty in Croydon, UK for a texture release and paid £200 (+£30 tip) so total of £230 and I would give zero star if possible.

I was quoted £170 on the phone, but the price was increased to £200 when I arrived. I didn’t argue and went ahead with the appointment.

The service itself took over 7 hours (10:45am–6pm) for one treatment, even though I was the only client for the day for this stylist (Sharon Adjei). I was repeatedly left sitting for 20–45 minutes at a time while the stylist stepped away, which made the whole experience feel very unstructured.

I was told clearly by the owner (Sharon Adjei) that after the texture release, my hair would be more manageable for my intended weekly washes and would not shrink/revert fully when exposed to water.

That was not true.

After 3 days, my hair completely reverted after contact with water — as if no treatment had been done.

I messaged them twice (24 hours interval) with photos asking what I should do.
 No response. Completely ignored. That lack of aftercare is the biggest issue for me.

After this experience, I looked at their reviews on several other platforms, and the feedback there reflects exactly what I experienced.

So in summary:
* Price changed on arrival
* 7+ hour appointment with long idle gaps
* Result did not match what was promised
* No response or support afterwards

It may look good when you leave, but that doesn’t mean it lasts.

I would not return.
