Very poor first experience

I've had exact same experience as reviewer 'avm'.
Bought a key for Death Stranding 2 the day before release.
The product page said keys would be available March 16th. Contacted them via the chat on 18th to query where key was as the link to 1-click activate wasn't working. Received a response the next day stating "It was a error from the publisher that did remove the release date making the product unable to order. It has been fixed now". When I queried this again, they asked for my order number and gave a stock response that I should check the game page for the release time and wait for an email with the key.
Once the release time had passed and there was still no key, I requested a refund which they said they have processed.
However, if it is true that I will only receive a 95% refund for not supplying the product I paid for then this is an absolutely disgraceful business practice.
This was the first and last time I attempt to purchase anything from their website.

Thank you for your feedback. We are truly sorry that your first experience with JoyBuggy didn't live up to expectations. We would like to clear up the misunderstandings regarding the release dates and, most importantly, your refund.

1. The 100% Refund Guarantee
First and foremost: You will receive a 100% refund. The 5% fee you mentioned is only applicable to voluntary cancellations of pre-orders where the product is available. Since we were unable to deliver your key within the expected timeframe due to publisher delays, you are, of course, entitled to a full refund of the entire amount. There is no "95% practice" in cases like this.

2. The March 16th vs. March 19th Date
We understand the confusion. The date of March 16th was the estimated date provided by PlayStation Publishing for when keys would be released for pre-loading. However, the official playable release was set for March 19th at 14:30 UTC. As an authorized retailer, we are bound by the publisher's delivery window.

3. Technical Publisher Error
As our support mentioned, there was a technical discrepancy from the publisher's side regarding the release metadata, which briefly affected the ordering process and the "1-click" activation. We worked hard to resolve this with them as quickly as possible, but we realize this caused frustration and uncertainty for you in the hours leading up to the launch.

4. Inventory & Transparency
We only sell keys provided directly by the publisher. When we realized that last-minute orders (like yours, placed shortly before release) were being delayed in the publisher's delivery queue, we chose to process refunds immediately for those who didn't want to wait, rather than keeping you in limbo.

We regret that we couldn't deliver your game on time, and we hope that once the full refund is visible in your account (usually within 3-5 business days), it will show that we do take our customer commitments seriously, even when technical issues arise.

Bought a key for Death Stranding 2

Bought a key for Death Stranding 2, about two hours ahead of release.
The product page clarified the keys would be available on March 16th, and I placed the order on March 19th so I fully expected a key to be provided immediately.
I waited until the official game release but could not find the key still. Contacted customer support via their chat window, which then told me to double-check the product page regarding the release date. Then immediately closed the chat.
Checking back in on the product page, it now states that the keys for the game are unavailable. In other words, it looks like JoyBuggy was selling keys that they did not have in inventory.
After reopening a chat with Customer Support they confirmed this, stating issues with the publisher issuing the keys.
They have provided me an option for a refund, which I accepted, and which triggered a (very minimal) email confirmation that the refund "has been processed". No timeline provided about when I can expect the refund to hit my bank account, nor any statement about a potential 5% reduction in the refunded amount like I saw mentioned in other TrustPilot reviews.

All around just a very negative and uncertain experience with JoyBuggy. I hope the refund is real, but can't confirm that yet at the time of writing.
Please stop selling products that you don't have in stock, especially when you advertise that they are.

1. Authorized Keys & Publisher Delivery
JoyBuggy is an authorized retailer, meaning we receive all keys directly from the publisher (in this case, PlayStation Publishing). The date of March 16th mentioned on the product page was the estimated time provided by the publisher for when keys would begin to be generated for pre-orders. While customers who pre-ordered well in advance received their keys on time, the massive demand in the final hours before the official release on March 19th (14:30 UTC) caused a delay in the delivery flow from the publisher's side for last-minute orders.

2. Stock Transparency
We do not sell keys we do not have "in inventory" in the traditional sense; however, as an authorized store, we rely on the publisher’s API and delivery windows. When the demand exceeded the immediate batch provided by the publisher right at release, we temporarily marked the product as "unavailable" to prevent more customers from waiting. We believe this is more responsible than continuing to take orders we cannot fulfill instantly.

3. The Chat Experience
We apologize if you felt dismissed in our chat. That is not the level of service we strive for, and we will follow up internally to ensure our team handles high-pressure release windows with more care.

4. Your Refund
We can confirm that your refund has been processed in full.

Amount: You will receive 100% of your payment back. The "5% fee" you mentioned refers to voluntary cancellations of pre-orders under different circumstances; it does not apply when we initiate a refund due to delivery delays.

Gotta say I'm surprised!

Gotta say I'm surprised!

So I'm looking at Code Vein II ultimate prices and thinking to myself "90€!? that's a robbery", and there I go mindlessly scrolling in between my lunch break at the office when I find JoyBuggy (and their 15%~ off deal).
I was skeptical, the UI is pretty iffy, not very flashy, but the trustpilot reviews seemed OK. I thought to myself "heck, why not? YOLO". Pre-ordered.
Was a bit scared at first when the website told me the key would arive on the 27th (pre-launch for pre-orders was on the 26th) so I sent a chat message. BOOM. Someone replied about 15 minutes afterwords. Customer service this fast? I gotta be dreaming. Surprised it's not some random AI bot asking me repetitive questions.
Anyway! Moral of the story is: It's the 26th and right at exactly the announced time I got a mail in my inbox telling me my key arrived.
Absolute magic.
These guys are great!

I wanted to purchase Blasphemous 2


I wanted to purchase Blasphemous 2 since they had a big discount over the weekend. The store page lists the game as being redeemable in SWEDEN.

However I can't add it to cart for some ridiculous nonsense reason:

"This game is not available in your Country! -> SE -> , Details: This product has not been approved for sale for you yet"

Nice. I suppose listing a discount and actually refusing to sell the product is a good way of generating traffic for your website but it does not instill any amount of confidence.

Absolutely ridiculous, if I wanted to be uncharitable I'd assume this is intentional to prevent people from using the time limited WEEKEND voucher code.

Protip: If the game can't actually be purchased you should perhaps list that and explain why, or at least grey out the 'add to cart' button.

Well whatever, you won't take my money and I won't give a charitable review. That seems a fair trade to me.

I did just test it on the swedish version here and you can now add it into the cart.
It seems that there was a resent change in SKU from the publisher and we needed to submit a quick request.

No key and frustrating customer support

I ordered a steam key for the 12-month Old School Runescape membership DLC from them and paid for it through Klarna. I didn't receive my key immediately, but on the Klarna app it said that the order was being processed, so I waited 8 hours or so before contacting JoyBuggy through their chat function on their website to ask for clarification if the delayed processing was why I hadn't received my key yet.

The customer support then tells me about how I wouldn't be able to redeem the code anyways and does not answer my question despite me clarifying that I've purchased the 1-month version of the membership from a different store and used it without any issues, so as long as what they were selling was the steam DLC for the 12-month membership, as it says on their site, I would have been able to redeem it as well. Up until this point it could have been just a misunderstanding or a communication error, but then I'm suddenly told that my order was cancelled and refunded. I didn't ask for a refund, I just wanted to know why I hadn't received my key yet. I wasn't even asked if I'd like a refund or anything, it felt like customer service just thought I was too dumb to know what I'm doing and decided to do me a favor.

I was tired of talking in circles so I ended the chat. I checked the refund later and they didn't return the full amount, as they take 5% of the cost to cover the financial cost of the refund. So in short they didn't answer my questions about the delivery time for the key and cancelled the purchase without asking if that's what I would like, forcing a refund where I end up losing 5% of my payment without me being able to do anything about it.

This was just a frustrating experience and frankly the shittiest customer service I've experienced. I can see that most people have had a good experience with them, so I may just be an outlier, but personally I would strongly advice against buying anything from here.

Thanks for your review, we really love when users review us. And we do fully understand your frustration here.

In the case here, you did confirm for us that you already own the game Old Runescape, on steam. As you already own the game, you are unable to redeem the game again on your Steam account. So that is why we did refund you the game, even as the game description clearly state that this is NOT a option.
Here is the statement from Jagex the publisher and owner of the game :
Note
· The DLC Bundle items are not tradeable or refundable.
· The Extra Bank Spaces expire at the end of membership access period.
· The Old School RuneScape 12-Month Membership + OST is a one-time purchase and is not recurring. Recurring memberships can only be purchased via the in-game interface.


So i do fully understand you are frustated, but please do note that we did refund you a game, that you did order fully aware of the note from the publisher, telling you, that you don't have any refund option, and that the code can't be redeemed if you already own the game, on your Steam account.
Sure you will be able to redeem the game if you have a fully new Steam account, but at no point of our chat you did tell us this was the case, but you did tell us that you already did redeem the game on your account.

The refund happened based on our terms that you did agree on when you placed the order. Where you did also accept that you don't have any refund right, as this are a digital game redeemed once you order.

The options here from our site, was this two options :
1. Leave you with a steam code you can't use.
2. Refund you based on our terms, allowing us to charge upto 5% to cover the payment fee.


Your order here was on 63.34€, and the payment fee was 3,63€,
So that is fine within the range of the 5%, you did agree on.

Even as you might not agree, we still see the option 2 as the best option for you, as you did keep the most of your money, vs to have paid 63€ for nothing.

Again, you did multiple times confirm that you already do own the game on Steam, meaning you can't use the game you did order here.

Again, we understand that you don't agree on this part and i understand you liked to keep your steam key, but again what is the key worth for you if you can't use it on your steam account?

Sorry for just refunding you, but we did see this as the best option for you as you can't redeem the key you did order.
