I own a small export business and currency rates make a big difference for us. What I like about Karbon is that I can hold my payments for some time before converting them. That gives me a chance to wait for a better rate instead of being forced to convert right away. I saved a bit of money last month just by waiting a few days before converting. It’s a small thing, but it helps. I’ve been using Karbon for a few months now and so far, it’s been a steady and practical tool for my business.

I export handmade products from Jaipur and used to dread getting paid from abroad because I never knew what exchange rate the bank would give me. With Karbon, it’s much more transparent. They show the rate right before the transfer, so I know exactly what to expect. There aren’t any surprise deductions later, which helps me plan better. The interface could be a bit simpler, but the overall experience has been good and reliable.

I own a hotel in Goa, and during the peak season we get many international bookings. Earlier, I struggled because I offered customised pricing but couldn’t accept international cards directly. Guests would often say they’d pay on arrival, and many never showed up. With Karbon payment links, I can now send a quick card link and collect advance payments securely. I didn’t have to set up complicated payment gateways on my website, which saved me time and money.

I’m based in a tier-3 town where they aren’t equipped for remittances. With Karbon, everything works online, and I don’t need to visit a branch. Earlier, my transfers often got stuck with banks citing different RBI regulations. After I opened my Karbon account, their account manager explained why it was happening and guided me through the one-time documentation. Now, I make payments twice every quarter for machinery, and every transfer lands on time without hassle.

I’ve used both PayPal and Wise before, but Karbon feels built for small businesses like mine. I run a small IT consulting firm, and most of my clients pay in USD and GBP. The multi-currency account lets me accept payments directly without hidden conversion fees. I did try using it for personal transfers as well, but it is clearly designed for business use and not suitable for personal payments. I still prefer using a different platform for international payment for personal use.
