Great shoes, lightweight, comfortable and durable. I've had over 5 diffreent models. Only one pair, the Synchron 2.0, had a failure, but the after-sales support team were willing to give me a replacement and I'm very happy with the replacement.

Karhu sneaker company stands behind their products!! I recently contacted them about a defect in the sole of one of my sneakers. They were very accommodating and offered a new replacement of my choosing. NIck in customer service was a joy to communicate with and assist me in my selection. Great job Karhu and Nick!!

UPDATE: After 5 weeks, multiple emails, a formal complaint filed with the European Consumer Centre, and public posts on social media, I have finally been refunded.

The product never arrived and customer service was unresponsive for weeks. The issue was only resolved after significant public pressure.

I hope Karhu improves their customer service processes in the future.

I am located in France. My order never arrived — lost by FedEx.
Karhu said they were waiting for news from their carrier, which is fair. But after 5 follow-up emails over two weeks, complete silence.
No refund, no replacement, nothing.

As a seller, delivering the goods — or refunding when they don't arrive — is their responsibility.

Avoid if you value basic customer service.

Purchased 2 pairs of new karhu synchron 2.0 hivo shoes second hand from a neighbor's estate sale. An avid runner, neighbor battled cancer before using either pair. Thought I'd help support family sale and they seemed like great shoes, even for my walking needs. Until I wore them, walking only, maybe 2 months, averaging 4 miles, 120 lbs. Then both soles cracked in the same spot, along the ball of the foot, same spot where rigid support piece ends. I contacted Karhu and assumed they would offer a solution, repair or replacement, particularly since these were $180 shoes (admittedly idk what neighbor paid...nonetheless that is the retail price). Nope. Received this reply:

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about what happened.
Since the item wasn’t purchased through us or an authorized retailer, there isn’t much we’re able to do in this case. Additionally, this is an older model that is no longer in production.
That said, I’d be happy to offer you a 15% discount code to use on a future order through our website. Please let me know if you’d like me to set that up for you.

WHY in the world would anyone want to purchase another $180 pr of shoes from same brand when the first pair (and likely fate for the 2nd pair) quickly literally cracked in half??? That generous 15% discount for more garbage product?? What a joke. Zero quality in these karhu shoes, zero customer service in the karhu company. NEVER buy karhu!

The sneakers are perfect, they arrived two days after my order and still so comfortable !

Excellent product, Excellent service. I had a problem with my order and wrote an email.. response was quick, friendly, and clear; problem solved. The shoes fit my wide, high arch feet so well that I can stand in them for 9hrs, everyday. I’m happily replacing them after 2 years of that load, even though I don’t really need to (because they’re still comfortably supporting me, and showing very little tread flattening) but I’m treating myself!
