Fibre installation

A big thank you to Sam, Leon, and Joe for fitting our fibre, on Burton Constable great set of lads,put everything just where we asked, Sam was very knowledgeable.

What a fantastic set of lads Sam and Leon are 
credit to kcom 
.they was told it was a 4 man job but only them 2 could come on the day had it done by 1 
.great communication with us.really happy with what they have done

Quick service but not great service

Quick service but got the distinct impression it was very nearly ‘going home time’ and the 3 week wait for installation is poor

Returning to KCOM

Phoned to enquire about moving my broadband to be managed by KCOM. Spoke to Sam, can't fault him. Very knowledgeable and polite. Took out a 2 year discounted contract and got 900 m/s. For less than my current 400 and getting the latest router.

Fantastic Upgrade: Transformative Cabling and WiFi improvements at Hull Marina

We recently completed a significant upgrade to the cabling and WiFi infrastructure at Hull Marina, and our satisfaction with the entire process is beyond measure. From our initial meetings/discussions with Lee at the site, where we navigated through the intricacies of this unique and challenging environment, to the ongoing communication throughout that kept us well-informed about the project's progress, the experience was exemplary.

Lee and the KCOM business team exhibited exceptional professionalism, offering insightful options and working tirelessly to identify the optimal solution for our specific needs. The implemented system represents a substantial improvement over our previous infrastructure, positioning our business for enhanced user experiences both presently and in the years to come. The upgrade not only meets our current requirements but also future-proofs our operations, ensuring adaptability to the evolving demands of our customer base as well as providing an excellent live monitoring dashboard for the network for analysis/problem solving.

We highly recommend Lee and the entire KCOM business team for their expertise, dedication, and effective communication. As a result of this successful collaboration, we are now exploring the possibility of implementing the same system at other marinas within our group. This positive experience has instilled confidence in the capabilities of Lee and the KCOM team to deliver for future projects within our business.

KCOM business is a vastly superior


KCOM business is a vastly superior product than the domestic packages. I have a technical issue today - in that I have a neighbour I wish to share my Internet with - and they have organised for an engineer to come out within 1 WEEK! They'll advise on options.

Excellent service as usual

I enquired about renewing my contract and got through very quickly, Lee gave me excellent friendly advice and a good deal. I've always had good service from KCOM and would recommend them.

Unfair Pricing Practices and Monopoly - A Disappointing Experience with KCOM

I am deeply dissatisfied with KCOM's internet services due to their unfair pricing policies and monopoly in my area. As an existing customer, it's frustrating to see that KCOM offers discounted prices to new customers while charging their loyal, long-standing customers significantly higher rates. Despite my loyalty to KCOM, there is no feasible way for me to access these lower pricing offers, which are prominently advertised on their website.

I reached out to their customer service for a solution, only to be informed that my only option would be to cancel my service and rejoin after 30 days to avail of the new customer discounts. This suggestion is impractical and unhelpful, especially considering that I rely on the internet for business purposes. A 30-day gap without internet service is simply not an option for me.

The fact that KCOM holds a monopoly in my area exacerbates the issue, leaving me with no alternative providers to turn to. This situation forces me to accept their pricing structure, which feels exploitative and unfair. It's disappointing to experience such disregard for customer loyalty and fairness in pricing from a company that enjoys the privilege of being the sole internet service provider in the region.

UPDATE

Following my review, I had a conversation with Sara from KCOM. While the company's response suggests that my contract terms have been changed to save me money, I must clarify that following the call from Sara the actual contract terms remain unchanged. This discrepancy between the public response and the actual outcome is concerning. I believe it's crucial for customers to receive transparent and accurate communications. Therefore, I urge KCOM to ensure that any public statements accurately reflect the reality of the situation and the resolutions offered.

I am still facing a £240 difference over the contract term compared to new customers.
