Keddy by Europcar - Brindisi Airport

What an absolutely awful way to start any holiday. Wait 40 minutes i. line before able to get to the counter…then find out that the car size I had booked was not available…so given a smaller (station wagon versus Big SUV)…then had to wait 90 minutes in 38C heat in the car park as no cars had been returned on time and my car was not ready. 5 different staff checked my paperwork 4-5 times each in the 90 minutes…no one know what was happening..absolute chaos…and when I kept asking for an update, all I got was ‘5’ mins. Eventually I spoke to the manager who gave me a car which had just been returned…scrapes down the side…not cleaned..and not the car I had booked. Throughout the experience, not one person said sorry or apologised. Absolutely shocking service.

Scamming company!! Cancel my booking, and never refund money! Please avoid this company MAXIMUM

Avoid at all costs. Be aware they also operate under Keddy, to prevent you from seeing bad customer reviews. Keddy is the same desk and scammy operating scheme. Go for a local company that you can trust. Business model is scammy to lure you in. Once at the counter they aggressively sell you extra service and insurance. Been renting cars for ages, know the trick, but this old man at the Pisa Airport desk beats all.

What happened that beat all playbooks:
- Basic story of you need the insurance. "No"
- Insurance option 2. "No"
- You need road assistence for 5 euro a day. "No"
- Yes, but modern cars don't have a spare tire. You need road assistence. What are you going to do with a flat tire? "Sorry, but if you rent me a car with poor tires, you are going to have to help me. But that should be part of renting the car"

Mistake I made: Thinking I was clear. Road assistence was put on the contract either way. Didn't read the document clearly.

Afterwards they charged me for 150 euros for two weeks, which was even a higher rate as mentioned at the counter. And completely ridiculous out of proportions for a road assistence service and related to the car rental fee.

Needed to find out after 6 calls, five emails. (Typical: They pick up the phone 8am-11pm for new reservations, for questions on invoices: the department is currently not available trick)

These type of companies shouldn't exist, and need to be put out of business. Don't repeat my mistake. Go for a honest local company with ethical business models and customer support and maybe a bit higher base fee.

Ho prenotato una vettura per dall'aeroporto di Charleroi ed ho anche preventivamente avvisato del leggero ritardo del volo. Mi assicurano di aver preso in carico la segnalazione e che tutto sia predisposto. Risultato? All'arrivo in aeroporto e trovo il desk chiuso e nessuna info disponibile, al numero verse nessun riscontro. Anche nei giorni a seguire a fronte del disagio creato, nessun riscontro. Ovviamente caparra persa. Pessimo servizio

Hired a car at Seville and returned back to Malaga airport
Basically I was charged over 300 pounds with no explanation what the charge was for
Booking was via booking.com who were also awful to deal with who claimed keddy wouldn't talk to them
Remember to keep all paperwork and only pay by credit card and to challenge the payment if it doesn't look right
These are a bunch of complete scammers who overcharge for upgrades or hang on to deposits with no explanation
Thankfully my credit card company believed my account and wouldn't give any explanation to why I had been charged over 300 pounds

booked a car via carjet. good this deal from Keddy car for a week . had to collect a car at Turin airport 22.30 and with a big surprise there office was closed at 22.28 and from 22.30 you get answering machine for calls. called the day after to tell them my story and maybe to get a refund since I had paid and had to rent another car from an other company. there answer was our stuff left at 22.30 and punched out at 22.30. cut the story short I was told im a liar too and they punched out at 22.30. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST. THEY ARE A BIG SCAM.

The small Lancia had 50,000 miles on the clock.
When driving in Croatia a tyre burst.
I phoned Europcar Croatia and they said get it repaired and they would refund us.
At the tyre place they found that due to faulty tracking both front tyres were worn down to the webbing and needed replacing .
After I gave the car back Europcar/ Keddy refused to refund me even though I had put 2 new tyres on their car and sent them the invoice.
Absolutely disgusting treatment avoid Europcar/ Keddy at all costs.

truffato all'aeroporto di Edimburgo . Al banco Keddy è praticamente Europcar. . Attenzione ai moduli da firmare. . nonostante avessi già pagato Il broker Autoeurope nolo e assicurazione casco . l'impiegata Europcar aggiunge a vostra insaputa un'altra assicurazione assurda per costo più del noleggio già pagato. naturalmente addebitata al rientro in Italia. Si deve fare qualcosa perche questi noleggiatori ladri non abbiano in mano le nostre carte d credito così ci addebitano ciò che vogliono.

Appena arrivo al banco mi dice che ne non ha la macchina che io ho prenotato ma mi propone qualcosa di simile. Il mio voucher era di 295€ era il budget che potevo permettermi per questa vacanza. Mi dice che la macchina che può darmi mi costerà 450€ approfittando della mia scarsa comprensione del tedesco. Per non perdere tempo ho accettato ma non avrei mai dovuto. Avrei dovuto impuntarmi e chiamare l'associazione consumatori. Siete dei ladri schifosi. Mai più con voi. Non prenotate mai macchine da europcar dall'aeroporto di monaco di baviera

Huge queue at Rome Fiumicino Europcar desk (Keddy is the cheaper outlet of Europcar) which has a ticketing system so take a ticket as soon as you arrive. service was very courteous no extras hard sell, collecting the car was straightforward, remember to video EVERYTHING! The problem was on returning the car. I returned it washed hoovered etc. in immaculate condition. When the guy from Europcar came to inspect the car he started with the inside checking the mileage etc. Whilst he was doing that I videod the car from the back moving to the front and then round to the back. As I was at the front the guy went to the back inspecting things whilst I was returning back from the front. On finishing the inspection he pointed out a 15mm superficial scratch on the rear bumper claiming I had done that! He then tried to make me sign a damage form admitting to the scratch! I refused absolutely of course. He then said that was all and I left. On checking the detailed video I took whilst he was in the car there was NO visible scratch on the bumper! The pictures I took of it AFTER he pointed it out showed it clearly. So this scratch magically appeared whilst I was videoing the other end of the car!! Clearly he scratched it thinking he could blame it on me! I was waiting for the claim to arrive but it never did, which is lucky for him because he would have found himself in criminal court. My relative in Italy is a lawyer and would love to catch these thieves! Also whilst pointing out another small scratch before taking the car, the rep told me that anything under 2cm is ignored. It would be worth getting that statement on video before you leave! It`s a pity because I used Keddy before and never had this sort of nonsense that you get from the gutter car co`s. It seems Italy is rife with this sort of thing so beware! Video everything in detail!

Prenotato una 500 all'aereoporto di Rennes tramite portale Keddy costo oltre 450 euro con km. illimitati e coperture totali, un guidatore. Arrivato in aeroporto scopro che devo rivolgermi al desk Europcar perché sono loro i gestori di Keddy. Il giovane mi dice che non c'è una 500 disponibile ma una 208 Peugeot e che le coperture lui non le vede al PC perché sono keddy, gli do la stampa dove è ben specificato "prezzo comprensivo di coperture" per tutta risposta mi dice nessuno qui conosce l'italiano.....quindi o firmo un foglio nel quale mi assumo tutte le responsabilità verso Europcar????? oppure ripago la copertura (250€ x 1a settimana), in totale una settimana oltre 700 euro di noleggio; dimenticavo, avendomi assegnato un 208 la franchigia da 500 euro saliva a 800, a Voi le considerazione del caso.

Al momento di ritirare la vettura mi è stato chiesto un extra di 118€ perché avevo oltre 70 anni e non l'avevo segnalato. Ciò non corrisponde a verità sia perché l'avevo indicato nel modulo della Ryanair e poi perché non ho ancora compiuto 71 anni per cui ho 70 anni.

Unacceptable service, never again. Reserved a car for 5 passengers Opel Grand land in Brindisi airport and we were given a Fiat 600…. We also had to wait for them to wash it… We paid for a certain type of vehicle which was not available AND we were not the only ones in this situation. Keddy/Europcar does overbooking and cannot provide the right cars to their customers. That’s bad.

Charged a late pickup charge dispite being part of a package deal via Jet 2

Vergognosi. Ho noleggiato tramite Ryanair una Peugeot 208, mi hanno consegnato una lancia Ypsilon ed in più mi volevano fare pagare un'altra assicurazione di 290€ perché a detta loro la copertura totale fatta tramite Ryanair non è valida. Spero di non avere problemi con franchigia e caparra alla riconsegna del veicolo. Non noleggerò mai più con loro.

Senza informare delle clausole mi hanno inserito in contratto il costo del pieno (se non la avessi riportata piena) di 81Euro. L'ho riportata con 7/8 di serbatoio, dichiarati nel verbale di riconsegna, e mi hanno addebitato la cifra intera. Si chiama truffa legalizzata, al mio paese. Keddy, adeiu per sempre.

Rented a car in Santa Cruz Bolivia. Shockingly poor customer experience.

1 hour to get the car back, given the wrong car, charged 33% more of a safety deposit then what was in the T&Cs, 1.5 hours to give the car back, and now waiting 3 days to get the refund.

Kiddy’s response is “you need to contact your bank”. I will never use this company again and I do t recommend you do either.

We booked a diesel Peugeot 508 sw but at the Turin airport service desk they gave a us Ford Focus which is a significantly smaller car and obviously in a smaller class estate vs hatchback. Yet they claim it’s the same size/class and didn’t agree to change it to a car that’s closer in size to the one that we booked.
