UPDATED - Appalling service & bullies
I just thought I would give an update to these guys, guess what …. Nothing has happened!!! They continue to ask for money …. no communications just more bills …. the only way to deal with these guys is in court where an adult can sort them out …. looking forward to exposing them!
Now I’m sure the guys in the digital marketing team will post a lovely soothing message but they are useless too, nothing happened last time guys and nothing will.
Beware they have just informed me that they are excited to announce they are changing their name to Clear Business … BEWARE they are the same crowd with the same dodgy business practices ….. you have been warned ….. stay clear …….
These guys are probably the worst I’ve ever dealt with! They are trying to extort money out of me that I don’t owe and despite several attempts to resolve the matter all they do is send threatening emails and letter. Out of desperation I have written to the CEO Lee Hull twice and guess what, yet another wall of silence!
So today I begin legal action against them.
My advice is stay clear of this company, read the reviews, search the internet, I wish I had!

Dishonesty of Termination fee's
The company try to keep their client's by charging an extortionate termination fee, I called for a termination fee charge but when I actually got the offical charge through from Kinnex it had increased again, I think they just make it up as they go along

Worst company I have ever dealt with in 40 years of being in business.
The staff tell lies to get you to sign up with them, then you cannot get out of your contract when you try to give notice to leave. They will hound and harass you non stop. Beware of these con artists!!

Third time using Kinex
Third time using Kinex, this time to add broadband and VOIP, they make it very easy to change, prices are very competitive, staff are very knowlegable, helpful and friendly. And compared to other potential providers, second to none.

Unhelpful customer services
Unhelpful customer services. The company try to keep their client but ogmenting termination fee and extending the contract wihtout customer's knowledge. We started our agreement on April 2022 for duration of 3 years and now they are saying our agreement end Janaury 2026!
Not recomending this company at all and cant wait to move out.

Do not recommend them for business phone line
This is the second time they have cut my small business off from my telephone and Internet within a week, without any contact from them.and after saying they registered the compliant the first time. Their offices are shut for the weekend. I do not recommend them to any business, as not 24 hour contact for emergencies

Awful service from Kinex
I was forced to take broadband by Kinex as they said they could not provide a phone line without this connection. I could not leave because my contract had not ended. I am now paying £88 per month which is double what i agreed intitally. I have tried to contact them by phone, after many options being chosen the phone rings but then cuts out. I have sent numerous emails to which I have had no reply. My last email said I was going to leave. Surprise, today I got a phone call telling me that my 2 contracts (didnt know I had 2) for phone and broadband do not finish until December and to leave would cost £696 for the broadband and £699 for the phone!! This is equivalent to 16 months rental...... This is disgusting and I can get no one to talk to me sensibly. Just get passed from department to department. Would NOT recommend anyone to use their phones.

Unhelpful and obstructive
I have had quite a few issues with Kinex, who supply my small business with water.
One of my main gripes in the past was their constant telephone calls, trying to get me to sign up for other services. I repeatedly asked (unsuccessfully) for them to stop ringing. They then rang me to ask why I didn’t want to be rung!
I am currently trying to get them to respond to my emails and complaints without any success. I am trying to transfer to another supplier but Kinex just will not reply and are being as obstructive as possible. Next stop is the ombudsmen.
Avoid Kinex.

Long-standing and happy customer - Small business
Kinex has been my Electricity supplier for nearly six years now and I've had no significant problems. I was a bit skeptical at first, partly because of their cold call marketing which tended to be quite pushy at the time. I'm not sure, but believe they have lightened up since then.
I added a Water contract with them a couple of years later. As a small business owner I like the fact that they offer a full range of utility services, so I don't need to hassle with various suppliers.
Very occasionally they will call me and ask if they can interest me in signing up for another service but they have really not been intrusive or pushy. I really like the fact that when you call them you get speak to an actual person, and you can ask and get to talk to the person dealing with your account. I'm not aware of any automatic voice menus and I don't remember ever having to sit in call waiting queues. I noticed another reviewer appreciated the same thing.
As far as I'm concerned, they have proved themselves over the years and so I have just renewed my Electricity contract which anyway was only very marginally more than the best quote I got elsewhere. I didn't bother haggling but Ed who has been looking after my account was prepared to try and price match if I wanted.
I am might consider migrating my broadband/phone as well, though they will need to be a lot cheaper to tempt me away from the small local provider I am currently using.

No response to any emails or contact…
No response to any emails or contact forms for over 2 months now. Phone calls - probably 99% if not 100% the phone is cut off. They say response within 2-3 days, maybe slightly longer as they are so busy. I have not heard a word from them about my issue. And now, I have not had access to incoming mail for the last 4 days. If I dont receive a reply from them tomorrow (shut today as bank holiday) I am going to report them to any institution that will listen - be it Ofcom, FCA, Ombudsman - the whole lot. Appalling behaviour costing me the best part of £60 per month as a pensioner. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE MY FIRST EMAIL ON 2ND FEBRUARY - 8 WEEKS!!!

Terrible time ending this contract
At firsteverything was okay with my phone and broadband but I made a note of when my contract was too end in 2023. and since another company offered a better deal ..I decided to change and that is where the FUN BEGAN (it was no fun for me)
THIS COMPANY Kinex,

Every time I emailed or rang to inform of ending at the end of my contract.
each different reply I received contradicted what a different employee of theirs had stated. They changed the dates they tried to get me to pay huge stupid amounts I was lucky enough to have saved my contract with end date.
Their retention people just tried to invent figures if I wanted to end the contract.
Since I found the contract end date from the original agreement and then I warned
them of making a serious complaint to the ombudsman.. It all ended ..
but what stress they put me through
Nightmare company.
Do your research make sure you are not tempted in.
Make a note of all their group names
AVOID THEM

We have been with Kinex for over a year now, everything was going good, for 3 months, that good I even changed 2 of my businesses over to this provider, until June last year, we had a problem with the broadband and phone line and have had issues every since, not only that my bill has doubled in a year!! I have called the technical department so many time, sometimes I get through with no issue, other times they can’t seem to find my account, depends on the call handler, also cuts out when put on hold. I have called today to log a complaint and again the phone goes dead after speaking to them for 20mins. Just today I have spoken to 6 different people as the line dropped so many times! I will be calling back again tomorrow to terminate the contract for both my businesses as I’d save money in the long run anyway, terrible company to deal with any issues and very expensive, they do it cheap to start with and slowly increases the bills

I am utterly disappointed with Kinex…
I am utterly disappointed with Kinex and their relentless pursuit of money that is not owed. It's like dealing with a persistent debt collector who refuses to acknowledge reality.
Let me give you ONE example: Back in September 2023, I found myself in a frustrating situation where Kinex decided to chase me for a debt that I did not owe. After much back and forth, they finally admitted that it was all due to a "system error." Fair enough, mistakes happen, right? Wrong.
Fast forward to March 2024, and what do I find in my mailbox? Another demand letter from Kinex, insisting that I owe them money. It's like a never-ending cycle of harassment. Every six months or so, like clockwork, they come knocking, trying to squeeze money out of me.
What's even more infuriating is that they have all my data, provided to them in good faith, and yet they continue to misuse it to hound me for payments I don't owe. It's not just bad business practice; it's downright unethical.
Save yourself the headache and avoid Kinex at all costs. They have no qualms about wasting your time and causing unnecessary stress with their relentless pursuit of nonexistent debts. Trust me, there are plenty of other companies out there that actually value their customers and respect their integrity.
