Rebecca at The Tourism Reset is such a joy to work with, she is always fizzing with brilliant ideas and has so many wonderful and knowledgeable connections that she can make anything happen. I worked with her to reach out to travel agents about ethical wildlife tourism & the response was phenomenal. Always a pleasure to work with Rebecca and looking forward to future collaborations.

The biggest thing I learnt very quickly was that I actually knew a lot less than I thought about sustainability with in the tourism industry.
This was quite a time consuming course but well worth the commitment if you are able. Each module is broken down into bite size chunks however I found it was much better to complete a module at a time rather than dip in and out.

For anyone looking to improve their knowledge of sustainable, regenerative, or responsible tourism, this masterclass is a must!

Rebecca breaks down the many areas of tourism and explains what's not working, but also how we, as travelers or travel businesses, can improve and do better. Her approach is thoughtful and engaging - you'll want to keep going to learn more!

I am so glad I took the time to go through the masterclass. I already had a foundational understanding, but there was so much more I didn't know. This is perfect for anyone who's just starting to learn or already knows a thing or two!

The tourism reset podcast is my to go tool for my continuous learning on the topic. I consider myself passionate about the subject, but there is always something new I can discover. I enjoy hearing from guests with many different background and experiences, digging into all the layers that can contribute to making travel a force for good!

Having completed their Sustainability Masterclass (Level 1 so far, eagerly awaiting Level 2) and attended multiple live webinars, I can honestly say that Kiwano are a fantastic brand to work with in the Sustainable and Regenerative Tourism space!

Rebecca - who hosts most of the webinars - is incredibly passionate in this area, which in turn inspires viewers (like myself) to engage and learn more.

What I love most about Kiwano's content is the balance of inspiration, facts and knowledge. It's always interesting, thought provoking and rarely too complex (which can be off-putting in my opinion).

I recently completed the Kiwano Sustainability Master Class and I absolutely loved the course! I have always had an interest in Sustainable Tourism, but with the increase in ‘green washing’ it is has become more challenging to seek out those truly authentic products.

This course has armed me with the facts, empowered me to ask the right questions to suppliers to establish if they are doing the right thing, but more importantly, I now understand the ‘WHY’!

-Why you can’t have a sustainable tourism economy if the locals are not part of the decisions or benefit financially from visitors to their country.

-If you love animals, WHY would you want them to be kept in an un-natural environment that causes depression, where they are subject to cruel training techniques to make them compliant and safe to be exposed to humans?

-WHY would you want to visit a destination or attraction that is frequented by thousands all at the same time? Why not travel off peak, swap out the hotspots for equally as beautiful alternative destinations?

-WHY not travel a little slower, allow yourself to get lost in a city and find those hidden gems, less tick boxing and more immersive travel.

-WHY are hotels still using disposable toiletries when they could adopt re-fillable soap dispensers? Same goes for plastic water bottles!

-WHY wouldn’t you want to learn about local and indigenous cultures from the people themselves..?

The course is so brilliantly delivered by Rebecca in a very passionate and non-preachy fashion. She uses language that you can understand and simplifies the complexities around the topics. Can’t recommend enough!

Sustainability is a buzzword in travel at the moment. I thought I knew a lot about it. Although I may be more familiar with issues, stats and ideas around sustainability, this course digs deeper and shines a great big spotlight on what it actually means and simple ways we can make a big difference. I can't help but talk with friends, family and customers about what I've learned as I feel it's only fair to share the knowledge. The course is broken into manageable chunks and the reflection points throughout the modules help with engagement. Some courses are just a tick box but the set activities help the knowledge to sink in and I will be making even more positive changes in my approach to sustainability. Thank you Rebecca for a fun and informative course!

Taking the Sustainability Masterclass has really opened my eyes to not only the problems that we are facing on a global scale, but more importantly the solutions, and how we can all play are part. It has provided me with so much knowledge and a real thirst to find out more and continue my learning. I feel so much better equipped now when talking to customers, friends & family, in connection with sustainability issues.

As a result of Rebecca's Masterclass, I shall certainly be much more inquisitive and will be asking more questions of my supplier partners and hotels pertaining to their own Sustainability Policies and commitments and goals for the future.

I head the impact department for a UK Tour Operator, and myself and a few members from my team attended Rebecca's webinar 'Rethinking Wildlife Tourism', which took a deep dive into the reasons to move to observation-based wildlife tourism. During the course of the webinar, Rebecca interviewed and included presentations from a wide number of global stakeholders, including NGOs, elephant experts, and industry professionals. Incorporating a range of knowledge from both inside and outside of the industry brought unique insight to this topic. My team were blown away by the training. We all came away feeling that we had learned something new, and it was helpful to us when developing our responsible travel policies around animal welfare.

I would definitely recommend attending one of Rebecca's webinars to learn more about her work and what she offers.

Taking the Sustainable Travel Masterclass was beyond my expectations!
I have enjoyed taking this masterclass it has really made me think as Sustainable recycling has always been part of my home but I have always been interested in Responsible Travel, but never knew where to start and love reading up on what tour operators offer.

A fantastic course led by Rebecca whose passion and enthusiasm really shines through in each module.
The course is broken down into manageable bitesize modules each focusing on the various areas of sustainable travel and tourism. The whole masterclass really opened my eyes at each stage, and it was evident from the start I really didn't know much about it at all. However, this course has now given me the confidence to talk with clients and suppliers about sustainability, tourism leakage, animal welfare, biodiversity, community based tourism, gender equality to name just a few and will better support me to implement positive changes within my own business.

Having worked in the travel industry for many years taking part in this course has really opened my eyes to how much more we need to do as industry to refocus our apporach to travel, to take pressure off over promoted areas and to think about how we travel in someone elses home. To become a guest; to ensure we buy locally so the local community benefits. To look at how we can empower the local community to ensure an authentic travel experience. Not least to encourage suppliers to shout loud about their achievements and share there plans for the future. To include their guests in their plans. At times the course is quite depressing, especially when we look at animals kept in captivity for tourist experiences. This made me exceptionally sad- and I know many Tour Operators have now pledged to not sell or promote. I have come away with many positive experiences and I aim to promote these with immediate effect and keep taking more and more steps towards a sustainable future to enable people to continue to love travelling and have authentic and ethical experienecs. This masterclass helped me understand! In times like this where sustainability is such a widely spoken subject, I knew bits but not enough to confidently talk about them to others. This masterclass really broke down the barriers I had in learning about a wide range of topics within sustainability. The case studies brought the topics to life for me and really helped embed the importance of what I can do without making me feel like I wasn't currently doing enough. In my role as a Trade Partnerships Executive at Kuoni, I wanted to be confident explaining to our agents what sustainability means to us as a company and myself personally and now I feel like I can. I also loved the extras, films, podcasts to look at etc that are given and have already started slowly changing small things in my life for the better.
