Have to give credit where credit is due. Needed to contact customer service and the interaction was polite, detailed, very helpful and understanding.

Wish there were more companies out there like this.

It feels good to have someone on the business side of things support the alt community the way they do.

I got the Screamin' Loud platform trainers, and the front platform completely tore off from use after 6 months. Emailed to check the warranty and it's only 3 months. £70 for a pair of trainers that last 6 months and are only guaranteed for 3 is not worth it in any economy

I’m usually size 6.5 and I had to buy a size 8 to fit me but is still very thight on the calf and anckle that almost blocks the circulation

I’m sad to leave this review because I’ve bought from Lamoda many times before and this recent purchase has made me rethink any future purchases. I purchased a US size 8 shoe from them and when the shoes arrived, they were the wrong size (a UK 8, which is a US size 10). When I informed Lamoda, they first insisted they sent the right size and I had to prove to them that the size was wrong based on my order receipt. Then, after some back and forth, they told me they could only refund the shoes and not the international shipping cost. While I am glad I was refunded for the cost of the shoes, there were no assurances on their end that purchasing from them again would end in anything but more frustration. I told them I was concerned that ordering the shoes again to try and get the correct size would result in the same outcome (the brand sending the wrong item) and that I would be out the cost of the international shipping again. Their response was just to reiterate that they had refunded the cost of the shoes. Genuinely, what is the incentive to order again when I’m out the money for their mistakes?

My previous boots from this brand lasted a solid 4 years before the sole finally gave out. I loved the style and comfort so much that I bought another pair right away. But these new ones haven’t even lasted 3 months and have the exact same sole detachment problem – for the price, this rapid failure is unacceptable and very disappointing.

Arrived quickly and are super comfy and look great. V happy.

Their shoes run quite small, so despite getting the biggest size available I had to return them. It’s been over a month and they won’t give me a refund… I’m left with no shoes nor money and their customer services started ignoring me… TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

The shoes came glue all over the shoe, very very cheaply made and runs very small I even ordered a size up. After reviewing return policy on returns they make it so you can't return after paying for the shipping. I will NEVER order from this company again.

Quality of shoes are not great, please don't waste you money! You can get the same shoes for half the price on temu or shein. The shoes also have a plastic smell that does not demonstrate quality.

I’ve ordered 4 pairs of boots in total over the last few months, the delivery is super quick! The boots are amazing, comfortable and I get so many compliments on them!
I have recently returned one pair of boots because they just don’t sit right on me (personal preference- nothing to do with the boots themselves) and the return procedure was so easy and quick! The customer service has been great!

I’ve never experienced service this incompetent. Lamoda repeatedly failed to deliver my order, despite multiple “attempts” and repeated instructions to just “wait a few more days.” Each time I contacted them, I was given contradictory explanations, no clear delivery timeframe, and zero accountability - a level of incompetence I have rarely seen.

As a result, I have completely lost confidence in both their delivery process and customer service. I will not be placing any further orders with Lamoda.

This is especially frustrating given how tiny the UK market is for alternative footwear. Lamoda could have been a retailer I spent hundreds of pounds with over time. Instead, I will be taking my business to companies that actually understand reliability and customer care - brands like New Rocks and Doc Martens -which Lamoda will never, ever come close to matching. Their repeated failures have ensured they will never see another penny from me.

Do not waste your money or time with Lamoda.

Their returns are super confusing I missed my date because I couldn’t understand how to do the return and you only get 14 days, the links do not work and it’s really unclear. I reached out because I am autistic and they were not helpful. They also said because I bought from the sale I’m unable to make any returns ?? £130 gone for wide calf boots that are narrow and tiny. Very dissapointed by this

Sent wrong boots twice, the picture on the website is the wrong image, want to still charge me postage costs and extra for returning when it's their error not mine!!

I'm leaving my experience here, maybe it helps other customers. I bought a pair of size 7 boots, which fit me perfectly, but I can't even close the zipper halfway, I think a child could close them. The sizes are not listed, so you buy without being informed. You can't return them if you bought them at a 50% discount. So I'm stuck with them and I lost money and I can't even sell them. I've never seen anything like this before.

Ordered thigh high boots in their sale that were honestly so SO TINY in the thigh that a CHILD couldn't wear them (genuinely. I had my 12 year old niece try). The calves fit fine. I'm a size 12. I'm not a big woman.

There isn't a grown adult woman on this earth who could get those zipped up on the thigh. I wanted to exchange for the wide variant so I contacted customer services (ahahahahahaha. misnomer) to ask what the actual measurements of that are - given they don't provide them anywhere so you can't make an informed decision. After a week of somehow not understanding the question (?!?!?!) I got a non-answer of "2 to 4 inches bigger than the standard one". That's a range big enough to be useless. So I asked for a refund instead.

Told sale items are excluded from their returns policy. That's nice, dear. UK consumer law distance selling regulations of both 2013 and 2015 explicitly give customers the right to return ANY item (except customised or digital goods) for ANY reason within 14 days for a FULL refund. You cannot exclude anything from that. Your policy doesn't override the law sorry.

Filed a chargeback with my bank and got my money back. As a bonus, they aren't getting the boots back. Although I doubt I could even sell them on given how ridiculous the sizing is.

Oh, and I ordered the "wide fit" separately. They're HALF AN INCH bigger than the standard. But they won't accept a return on those either so those are also free/refunded by my bank.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Anybody having trouble getting a refund from them: don't bother arguing with idiots. Just go to your bank the second they say "no". They aren't above the law no matter how much they'd like to be!

I’ve been a Lamoda customer for years and honestly I used to love them. I’ve bought well over 20 pairs of shoes from them, and I’ve been doing free promotion for them on my Instagram the whole time – posting outfits, tagging them, and even getting messages from their own IG team thanking me for the support.
Recently I ordered a pair of “wide calf” boots and that’s where everything went downhill. The boots arrived and the calves were so tiny that even really slim, tall girls would struggle to zip them up. They were absolutely not “wide calf” in any realistic sense, especially considering I’m a 5'2 petite girl. Totally unwearable for the purpose they were advertised for.
When I contacted customer service to return them, I was told I couldn’t because they were discounted. No acknowledgement that the product didn’t match how it was advertised, no flexibility, and no attempt to help a long-term loyal customer. Just hiding behind “sale item, no returns” even though the sizing and fit were clearly off and there were no calf measurements provided for me to make an informed choice.
I’ve supported this brand for years, spent a lot of money with them, and basically done free marketing for them on my socials. To then be treated like this over one pair of boots that aren’t even wearable is genuinely disappointing.
If you’re thinking of buying from Lamoda, be very careful:
If something is wrong with your order, don’t expect much goodwill or customer care.
Discounted items mean “you’re stuck with it”, even if it doesn’t fit as described.
I won’t be ordering from them again and have removed them from my IG tags. They’ve completely lost my trust as a customer.

If you want good customer service and shoes that show up to your door. Choose a different company. If your product has any issues... Too bad, this company will not help you resolve the issue.
