I had a very frustrating experience with LaunchGood. I registered my account and submitted all the required documents for verification. I even received a confirmation email from their team stating that my account was fully verified.
After that, I launched my fundraiser campaign and managed to raise a reasonable amount of funds. However, once the funds started coming in, my account was suddenly placed under review again without any clear explanation.
Since then, I’ve been submitting payout requests daily, but my funds have still not been released, even though my campaign has already ended. Every time I contact their support team, I receive the same generic response with no real progress or timeline.
It feels very concerning that everything seemed fine during the fundraising stage, but as soon as the funds were collected, my account was put on hold again. This lack of transparency and delayed payouts has caused me significant stress.
Honestly, I wish I had chosen a different platform with better reliability and user trust.

Absolute disgrace of a company avoid like the plague. They have a compliance officer by the name of Katherine D, who has let power get to her head and is so incompetent at her job, she sent me 3 different requests for information, absolutely appalling. I raised 2.5k with Just Giving and the money has been sent to the beneficiary whereas I raised £950 with Launch Good and they want a attestation and id from 3rd world country absolutely pathetic company, all the directors should resign.

LaunchGood markets itself as a bridge for the global Muslim community, but my recent experience reveals a disturbing reality: they are gatekeeping aid based on geography, even when provided with every possible tool to mitigate risk.

I have been a consistent donor on this platform for years. My Moroccan identity and location were never an "internal risk" when I was sending money into their ecosystem. However, the moment I sought to launch a campaign to save my family from a life-altering legal and housing crisis, the doors were slammed shut. The reason? "Location."
I provided a UK-regulated banking partner for all payouts. This is a highly regulated financial institution. By using a UK account, I effectively removed the "location risk" they claim to fear. They ignored this technical reality entirely.
When I challenged their decision with logic, they didn't just disagree—they closed my support ticket without a single word of reply. During the final ten days of Ramadan, a platform "inspired by the Ummah" chose to ignore a plea for help rather than engage in human dialogue.
Because of an automated "risk policy," two parents face prison, three children face homelessness, and a widow is left in financial ruin. LaunchGood has the power to open this door at zero cost to themselves, yet they choose bureaucracy over brotherhood.

If you are a donor in a "high-risk" country, know that your money is welcome, but your struggles are not. Until LaunchGood stops marginalizing entire sections of the Muslim world, they are not a platform for the Ummah—they are a platform for specific zip codes.

Avoid if you are looking for true Islamic solidarity.

They are only interested in making money! horrible site and all under the idea thats its Muslim. push you to get your contacts on their site so they can make money from your connections!!!

The worst customer service I’ve ever received on anything. It’s supposed to be an and Islamic service, so supposed to be reliable, good, quick easy. I’ve been trying to get $520 for emergency help , they requested a documentation like you buying a house , personal information like you getting a citation ship from a country , it’s a scam , they charge the person who donating fee then you charging fee to thee money I get , be aware , rather prefer use go funding

The worst customer service I’ve ever received on anything. It’s supposed to be an and Islamic service, so supposed to be reliable, good, quick easy. I’ve been trying to get $159 for my starving orphan friends in Africa. It’s taking me over two months to get it. I’ve had to wait weeks at a time for them to respond a terrible answer and wait more weeks. Oh my god I’m so frustrated just writing this. I haven’t been this frustrated from someone in a very long time. Don’t use them just use go fund me or someone ACTUALLY PROFESSIONAL

Very easy to set up a campaign for a personal cause. Every interaction I had with employees has been a positive one

Disappointed and Angry
At the endorsing adults or coaches who sign these contracts w/ a software that requires 20 cell contacts from each minor student, aggressively tracks goals & progress & lacks transparency to the donors that 20% of the funds raised go to the for profit software. 20% is excessive and exploitative, especially for a school-related activity. It is troubling to think that such a large portion of donations from friends and family, given in good faith, are being diverted to a private company, and donors are not informed of the fee the 3rd party app takes. These practices feel predatory.

They will keep your money for months and keep asking silly questions even after you send the all required documents related to the fundraising. Seems like they are using the donated money for their own business.

- Donors Unaware: Contributors believe their full donation (minus optional tips) goes to the cause, but a significant portion may be diverted to LaunchGood if the charity paid for promotion.

2. Pay-to-Play Fundraising
- Charities Must Pay to Succeed: Most campaigns get buried unless charities pay LaunchGood for marketing. The example of Bondh E Shams shows:
- The charity paid $131,265 to LaunchGood.
- Received $420,047 in donations (a 3.2X return).
- Result: 31.25% of donations effectively went to LaunchGood.
- Ramadan Profiteering: LaunchGood charges higher rates for prime fundraising times (e.g., the "Night of Power" emails cost 10X more than regular Ramadan days).

3. Lack of Transparency and Ethical Concerns
- No Disclosure of Ads: Donors can’t tell if campaigns are organic or paid promotions (unlike Google/Amazon, which labels ads).
- Questionable Zakat Handling: LaunchGood charges charities to be featured on its "Zakat-verified" page, despite claiming it doesn’t take zakat for itself.
- Minimal Charity Vetting: The platform allegedly hosts low-quality or even scammy campaigns, with little oversight.

4. Potential Legal Issues
- Charitable Solicitation Laws: LaunchGood may be operating as an unregistered charitable solicitor in Michigan (its home state), violating transparency laws.
- FTC Violations: Failure to disclose paid promotions could breach truth-in-advertising rules.

I never subscribed to anything and they tried to take my money. Scam.

Fraudulent unauthorized charges have appeared on my credit card from this organization. I have no proof the organization has anything to do with this but it raises trust questions.

Very disturbing experience.
Tried to donate for the palestine and it gave me an error, seconds after my bank blocked my card for fraude.

Would not accept fundraising for palestine, of all the causes out there this is the most needy. Absolutely shocking

I had an extremely frustrating experience with LaunchGood. Despite being referred to the platform with high expectations, I encountered unprofessional behavior, poor customer service, and a breach of confidentiality. My questions were repeatedly avoided, and I was passed between employees with no clear answers. One employee, was particularly unhelpful, sending irrelevant messages and even deleting messages when confronted about staff behaviour. Additionally, my inquiries were openly discussed among staff, which felt intrusive and raised concerns about data privacy. I’m deeply disappointed by the lack of accountability and poor communication, especially during a critical fundraising period. Unfortunately, this has caused a significant loss of time and trust in the platform. Never expected this from an award winning faith based platform.

Legit website and 100% trust worthy. I've been using it for years to donate. The negative reviews seem fake coming from probably islamophobic individuals so keep donating and may God bless you!

Too many scams. The company claims that the rigorously vet all fundraisers, but they don't even vet reported frauds.

This is a platform which gives individuals with a living heart to support, disadvantage communities and individuals who want to be part of the global masses to change lives, and hopefully save many lives, Muslims and Non Muslims alike, who is tired of the global order narrative. I would recommend this to anyone who have a generous soul, to ignore the poor reviews. I've never had any problems, Alhum'duillah.

Terrible company, easy to start campaign BUT try to take your money out - forget it they keep asking silly questions. Been over 3 weeks and still can’t access the donations.
