I am leaving this review based on my own experience as a professional engaged to provide financial valuation work for one of this business's clients.

I completed the agreed financial valuation work approximately a year ago. The business had charged its client £2,000 for the engagement, and my agreed fee for the work I completed was £500. Despite completing the work, I have still not been paid the £500 owed to me.

Over the past year, I have followed up repeatedly regarding the outstanding payment and have been given various explanations for why it has not been paid. On one occasion, I was asked to remove my review before the outstanding £500 would be paid.

As of the date of this review, approximately one year after completing the work, the £500 remains unpaid.

I have documentation supporting the work undertaken, the agreed fee, communications regarding payment, and the subsequent discussions. I am posting this review to accurately record my experience of dealing with the business as a professional service provider.

This review reflects my personal experience and the payment issue remains unresolved.

Six months in, and the EIN closure has still never been evidenced

I hired LAWA in February 2026 to close a US LLC: file the final 2025 tax return and close the EIN with the IRS. Paid in full the same week.

The filing took three months. Figures sent March 26, then constant chasing on my side — April 6, 18, 23, 27, May 2. At one point I was told they were "waiting for my confirmation" of numbers I'd already confirmed twice in writing. Faxed May 4. That part was done, and done correctly.

A correction. I originally wrote here that I never received copies of the filed return. That was wrong — I was sent it to sign on April 28 and signed it the same day. It was in my email and I missed it. Correcting the record because a review should be accurate.

The EIN closure, however, has never been evidenced. Told on May 19 it had been filed. I asked for the letter and the transmission receipt on May 16, May 31, June 4, June 18, June 22, July 5 and July 20 — seven requests. Twice in July I was told it was being forwarded. It never arrived. On July 23, two months after the alleged filing, I was told the confirmation still wasn't available. I have never received it.

The technical issue. On March 26 I told their accounting team about transactions occurring in 2026. The 2025 return was filed marked "final" without anyone flagging that the 2026 period might need its own filing. I found it myself in July. Their August 5 answer was that 2026 reporting "should generally not be required" — no regulatory basis given. I asked twice for the specific authority. No response.

The penalty for a missed filing of this type is $25,000, with no statute of limitations. I've hired an independent IRS-licensed tax professional at my own cost to review the position.

Communication throughout was slow and deadlines were missed without notice.

The 2025 return was filed correctly and I credit that. But six months in I have no proof the EIN closure was submitted, and no substantive answer on 2026.

If you work with them, get every proof of filing as it happens rather than months later.

Update, 24 August: LAWA has now sent the EIN cancellation letter and its proof of mailing, along with the 2024 filing. I said I'd note it if they arrived, so I am. The letter is dated April 28 and was mailed May 5 — I first asked for it on May 16 and asked seven times over the following two months. The delay is what this review is about and it stands, but the documents were eventually provided and the record should say so.

A contractor tried to claim ownership of work he did for us. LAWA LEGAL stepped in, drafted the right documents and handled it properly. They were upfront about costs and didn't waste our time. Quick and professional. Would definitely use again.

Unfortunately, Oleksandr Vinichenko and LAWA LEGAL LTD did not fulfill their obligations over the course of an entire year.

A total of $5,505 USD was paid for company registration services, and all requested documents were provided, but the company was never registered.

Additionally, Oleksandr asked for temporary assistance with a currency exchange transaction. I sent him $5,200 USD, which he confirmed receiving, but the funds were never returned as promised.

In total, the unresolved amount is $10,705 USD.

I am currently consulting with a lawyer regarding possible legal action and recovery procedures related to this situation. Based on the overall circumstances, repeated delays, unfulfilled obligations, and unresolved payments, this situation now has clear signs of fraud from my perspective.

In my experience, Oleksandr used his strong Upwork reputation to build trust, while moving communication and payments outside the platform, where there was no client protection.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend working with him.
