Shocked

Transformed our lawn!
Tim and the team have been brilliant, our lawn was full of leatherjackets, patchy and in need of some love! 6 months down the line and it looks like a different lawn, I'm so pleased with how it's transformed, thank you!

Expensive and unpleasant experience
Have used their services for few years, since 2020 to be exact. But lately 2025 onwards the service experience has been very unpleasant and very expensive. Did all the things and paid for all the treatments as per the recommendations but our’s is the worst lawn in the street . Have been advised to repeat the expensive treatment again as the weather has been awful. Surprisingly the weather affected our lawn only as our neighbours on either side were lucky to be not effected by weather at all.
Could not bear any more and discontinued my treatments today. Will try to find some other reputable people around and restore my lawn hopefully.

We appreciate your loyalty since 2020 and understand how frustrating it can be when results don’t meet expectations, particularly after following recommended treatments. Lawn health is influenced by several factors beyond treatment alone, including soil condition, drainage, shade, foot traffic, mowing practices, and seasonal weather patterns. Unfortunately, even neighbouring lawns can respond very differently despite appearing similar on the surface.
The recommendation to repeat treatments was made in response to the exceptionally challenging weather conditions experienced, which can significantly impact recovery and results. That said, we understand that the associated costs can feel frustrating, especially when progress has been slower than hoped.
We’re sorry to hear that you’ve decided to discontinue your treatments, but we do wish you the very best in restoring your lawn moving forward. Abusive ?
I take exception to your suggestion that I was abusive in any way during the phone call.
I can say categorically that I did not use foul or abusive language.
The tone of the call did end up argumentative because your operative would not listen to my concerns and was quite dismissive of what I was trying to explain.

Lawnmaster are excellent. I can thoroughly recommend them to help look after your lawn. I have been using their services for over 5 years. Every aspect of their work is always of the highest order. Their operatives are always pleasant, polite and respectful.

Joe from Lawnmaster arrived this morning to treat my lawn. He explained what treatment would be done and once completed he briefed me on what had been done and presented a plan for treatment again in February 2026. Joe had a relaxed manner he was polite and totally professional in his approach. Thank you Joe.

Efficient, friendly and polite
We have been using Lawnmaster for many years and have been extremely satisfied with their service and professionalism. The staff who answer the phone are polite and friendly. The people who treat our lawns are always keen to give advice and are also polite and friendly. I would recommend Lawnmaster

TERRIBLE - AVOID
Currently in dialogue with a lady in accounts at Lawnmaster.
On the basis I have had a treatment (Aeration) in previous years, they have incorrectly assumed that I wanted this annual treatment again this year.
They didn’t ask. Just turned up and provided the treatment.
They hide behind the claim that they have “advised you of the treatment in our previous invoice” and “ you have it every year”. So, because I did not read/notice the small print on last months invoice I am liable? I have ‘ordered this service’? I don’t think so.
So, on that basis, I am in the process of providing financial service advice to Lawnmaster. They haven’t asked for my financial advice. I am just going to notify them, turn up at their offices and provide said advice. Then I will invoice them and demand payment and threaten to take them to court if payment is not received.
Looking at other reviews on here it would appear this is a common occurrence with a lot of customers.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in court.

Their reply about unsolicited work/legal action is ironic to say the least. They provided unsolicited work to ME and threatened ME with legal action, hence my reply. (I guess they don’t understand sarcasm).

We would first like to acknowledge that you have been a valued customer for the past five years.
During this time, you have consistently been on our standard treatment programme, which operates on an 8–12-week cycle and includes an annual aeration as part of the programme. This has remained unchanged throughout your time with us and has not previously been queried. To clarify, this treatment (aeration) is not something you “order” each year; it forms part of the agreed programme you have received annually, and this is clearly outlined on our website and in our literature.
Regarding your comment that we “just turned up” without asking, our invoices always clearly state both the next scheduled treatment and the date it will take place. This process has been the same throughout your five years with us, and you have been receiving treatments on this basis without issue. For this reason, the aeration should not have come as a surprise, as it followed the same notification process used for all your previous annual aerations.
It is also important to highlight that our records detail your full aeration history, including the dates of all previous treatments and the corresponding payments that were made, all of which were accepted without any issue.
We have reviewed the points you raised about other customers’ experiences and want to reassure you that we take all feedback seriously. However, we must also clarify that all treatments carried out at your property have followed the agreed programme and our standard communication procedures.
Finally, we were disappointed by the threatening remarks made in your review. We understand that misunderstandings can occur, and we are always willing to resolve matters professionally and constructively. However, comments suggesting unsolicited services, court action, or intentions to damage our reputation are neither fair nor reflective of the service we have provided over the years.
We remain committed to resolving this matter amicably and are happy to discuss it further with you directly.
UPDATE RESPONSE:
As stated clearly on your invoices, you were fully aware of the programme and have paid for this service on your previous five visits. You subsequently settled your outstanding bill the day after posting this review, which confirms your understanding of the charge. We appreciate your custom.

Interest in the lawn and in us, plus superb expertise..
The staff take a personal interest both in our lawn and in us as people. The summer drought came just after the lawn was scarified, leaving it bare and patchy, for a number of weeks. The staff were hugely encouraging, giving the patches (and us) their best TLC. Then the deluge came; and the lawn returned! Two months later, it looks better now than it has for some years, thick and a lush green. Mowing it is now (almost) a joy!
