I wish Iâd checked reviews before bothering to ring. They are rude, unprofessional and terrible at customer service. They put the phone down when I said Iâd received a lower price, which theyâd said they could match it. I said no thanks, as I prefer a company to just tell em their price and Iâll go with the best service but also I donât think itâs acceptable to lower a price to beat others, just have a good price and own it. I never give bad reviews but hate rude people
Expensive 3rd party
Very expensive skip cost £474 for an 8 yard for it to only be a local service we had already vetoed but would have been £100 less. Ignored email to arrange for offhire and ended having to call after a week. To add insult to injury then charged us £12 extra for "fuel levy" to offhire which I have no doubt will not go to the local company. Avoid- just go local

Awful service
Awful service - do not recommend at all. I ordered a skip to come first thing on a Monday and it only arrived in the afternoon. I also booked with the company on the understanding that they would collect on the Wednesday as the skip would block my driveway. I rang on the day and they said they wouldn't collect until a week later! I can't get my car out of my driveway for over a week now as I am blocked in - can't get to work or hospital appointments as am in rural area with no public transport - and, as I am on a blind bend, the late collection also risks serious accidents during deliveries, visits etc. Astoundingly poor communication. I am extremely disappointed in this dreadful service and wouldn't recommend the company to anyone.

I wish I could select zero star
I wish I could select zero star! Their services was horrific from start to finish. They're very quick to take your money, but will deliver the skip whenever suits them, so be prepared to wait for days until it arrives despite any 'confirmation'. The collection was a lot worse! I had to call them tens of times and although they'd say 'tomorrow', it took over a week to be collected. They claimed to have come and didn't collect the skip because it was overloaded which it was not at all! I had to check on the cctv and the driver didn't even stop, let alone call or ring the bell. They just drove past and didn't collect because they couldn't be arsed. I would avoid at all cost! Do not hire them, find another provider and always check for reviews! I wish I had checked beforehand!

Do NOT use. This turns out to be an agency. They charged me for what I explained was household waste.
When the skip company came, they refused to take the items. I explained I had paid extra and they stated that I had to take it up with the agency.
Its a scam. LB waste will charge you extra for prohibited items, wont tell the company they hire. The company will then refuse to take it, empty the items out amd drive off with a half full skip.

Absolutely rubbish company
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I ordered a skip over the phone and paid upfront, but never received a confirmation email. On the day of delivery, I had to chase them because the "early morning slot" I booked didn't happenâthe skip finally turned up after 1 pm.
The service only got worse from there. A staff member named Joe promised me they would collect as soon as we were ready. However, when I called the next day, they claimed the earliest collection was April 16th (a full week later). When I pointed out that their own "3-5 business days" terms should mean the 15th at the latest, they were extremely unhelpful and borderline rude.
They kept hiding behind T&Cs that I was never even sent in writing. Because the skip is stuck on my driveway, I can't finish my paving, costing me extra money and wasted annual leave. When I asked for compensation for their incompetence, I was told "not to be silly."
The man on the phone actually complained that a bad review "wasn't fair"âwhatâs truly unfair is lying to customers about your ability to deliver a service just to get a booking. Avoid this company at all costs.
I am very disappointed and I would never ever hire a skip from these people.

Ordered a 4-yd skip web page £190 + VAT got a notification on phone within seconds of ordering charge me £354. Phone company back immediately and cancelled within 4 minutes and charged me £50 +VAT cancellation fee. Must be the worst company I've ever had to deal with they are just scammers please be aware when ordering from this company.

I booked a skip van service and paid in advance, but the van never arrived on time. They even scheduled me for a bank holiday, when I explicitly needed the service on a normal working day.
Despite calling the company three times, I was given completely conflicting delivery times 11 am, then 12 pm, then â30 minutesâand each person I spoke to gave a different answer. When I expressed frustration at their constant misinformation, the staff actually got annoyed with me, rather than taking responsibility.
The van ended up being 1.5 days late. According to the driver, they had informed the company (LB) they would be late, but instead of communicating honestly with me, the company kept making up new time frames.
This is not just poor service, itâs incompetent, disorganized, and shows a total disregard for customer time and money. They overbook, mismanage schedules (even on holidays), mislead customers, and are unprofessional when challenged. The driver themselves was frustrated at how the company handled the delivery.
I cannot recommend this company. Their repeated false promises, lack of accountability, and unprofessional behavior show they cannot be trusted under any circumstances. Skip LB is a wasteâgo to Ron Waste Management, who LB actually use.

I actually thought i was hiring a skip through a local company. No hidden cost it says on their Web page. I rang the local number to book. I got a confirmation email from this company, who are not local to me, I questioned it and was told it was a sister company. Further down the page of email it states there is an added £15 sur - charge to cover the recent hike in fuel prices.
I decided to cancel the order, only to be charged £48 for doing so. So much for no hidden costs.

As far as ordering the skip went everything was easy; having a short window thought the problems started when the skip we requested for morning drop off was delivered mid-afternoon. Do yourself a favor, do a little digging and find a local sk989796io hire company.

I hired this shambles of a company to drop a wait and load skip, we arranged a PM slot. I spent the day getting everything organised out the front onto the customers drive for the skip hire to not turn up, I asked for an ETA at 13:00 I was told no later then 3pm, I called at 3pm and was told heâs got a puncture but will definitely be there tonight, I called again at 4:30pm to be told Iâll call you back in 5 minutes but the driver is on his way to you, called again at 17:25 before they closed and they ignored my calls, needless to say nobody arrived, the following day I called and they said no problem we will refund but the problem was still there for me as the rubbish was still sitting on the customers drive! I received âno problem mate we will refund it budâ. Once I told them it was a problem he hung up on me! What an absolute disgrace of a company donât waste your time
