I have been studying English with Millie for almost two years. Before that, I often got stuck when speaking in meetings or giving presentations at work. Sometimes I even felt like I had lost my ability to speak English, even though I had spent years learning it in school. Millie is the best English tutor I could have found. She tailors the lessons to my needs and always gives helpful advice. Her laughter always sounds like encouragement to me when I tell stories and share my experiences, were my stories really that funny? My English speaking has become much more fluent now.

I’ve really enjoyed my lessons with Millie. The atmosphere in class is always very comfortable and relaxed, which makes it much easier to speak and not be afraid of making mistakes.

I also really like the topics we work on because they are interesting, useful and usually connected to everyday life. The lessons include different kinds of activities, so they never feel boring or repetitive.

I feel like the classes have really helped me express myself more naturally in English and feel more confident when speaking. Millie is also very kind and easy to talk to, so I always enjoy our lessons.

There are no words to describe Millie. Learning English with her really boosted my confidence, and the way she organizes the lessons is always on point. I had such a great experience with Millie through my tutor mentorship. From the beginning, she made the conversation feel really personal and took the time to understand me, my goals, and what I’m currently doing with my tutoring business.

We talked about marketing, how to attract more students, how to grow and eventually scale my business, as well as a lot of small but really useful things I hadn’t thought about before. I really appreciated that her advice wasn’t just generic information, she gave me ideas based on my own situation and what I’m trying to achieve.

I came away from the session with so many new ideas and a much clearer idea of what I can work on next. She was incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and easy to talk to, and you can really tell that she cares about helping tutors improve and succeed.

I had such a great experience with Millie, and I would genuinely recommend her mentorship to anyone starting on Preply. She played such a big role in how I began my journey and helped me become much more confident as a tutor.

Even before I booked a mentorship with her, I had already watched so many of her TikTok videos and used her advice to structure my trial lessons, choose resources, approach students, and write follow-up messages. I even had a notebook filled with notes from her content.

When I eventually booked the mentorship, the advice felt incredibly personalised. She helped me improve my profile, introduction video, description, trial lessons, and even helped me think about how I could use my psychology background to create my own niche. Within about two days of making the changes she suggested, I booked three more trial lessons.

I took the course, BOOKED on Millie's website after feeling stuck in ESL for years.

I had already spent around $3,000 on a teaching certification and learned a great deal, but I personally came away still unsure how to turn that knowledge into a manageable teaching practice.

Not that this is a criticism of the certification or what I learned from it. It's just that while I had an expensive certification, I still left feeling overwhelmed, disheartened, and unsure of how to practically navigate the world of online English teaching.
