Went for Sunday Dinner. Lovely food and service.
Had Prosecco and cake for free as it was my Birthday.
Highly recommend

So, firstly the room was lovely. And the bed was super comfortable. Good start.
We booked this hotel as we had SUCH a great stay at Dakota Edinburgh- one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in worldwide. And we’ve stayed many many places.
We previously booked a suite and were greeted with a glass of bubbly and canapés in room. It was lovely.
But, unfortunately this Leeds Dakota really isn’t at the same level at all. We again booked a suite and was hoping for the same great experience. Oh how wrong we were. Firstly the staff really are not well trained. We arrived at 11pm and were told we could get a drink at the bar. Only to be told by the bar manager that the bar was closed. We then watched at least 20 more people turned away too. Surely a hotel bar with this many potential paying customers would stay open until 12 as this I such a wasted earning opportunity. It just seemed they wanted to shut up shop and go home.
We then were told that we could order drinks from room service. That was a disaster too. Staff couldn’t understand English. Eventually brought totally the wrong thing … twice. Seriously.
And although the cooked breakfast was nice, the buffet was very poor.
All in all very disappointing. Only 1 towel in the room - for a booking for 2 people. IN A SUITE ! And reception couldn’t understand us either. We’re from Kent. Not the moon !!!!
Beware, all Dakota hotels are not the same. Stick to Edinburgh and you’ll be fine. I’d honestly avoid Leeds.
I think we’d have been better off saving a ton of money and staying at a premier inn. At least it’s what you expect.
I’ve got to revisit next month, so will avoid this hotel next time.

I love the Dakota I would give it 5 stars for every time we have stayed in Manchester. Great rooms good restaurant and loveley staff.
However the App is hopeless no matter how many times I register it keeps going round in circles. In the past we were given points which was really simple and a good reward. I find the app impossible to try and book to take advantage of Insiders.

Checked in overnight to go to New Year Ball at Euro central. After the meal I went to look for the ladies room, went along a long corridor couldn't find one, no signs up anywhere, so just went to my room on the 1st floor. On return I found that the doors on the way to the venue were locked indeed 3 sets of doors were locked. I eventually went to reception They then advised that I needed to go outside into the car park where it was raining and full of puddles, to find another entrance as they would not allow me to take the internal route Even as a guest staying overnight and a woman on her own at night I was told I must go outside. We were not at any point in the night. informed of this rule. Eventually while waiting on a manager, a guest who might have been a footballer told the waiters to let me through the internal doors. The young manager called Chris Turner I believe, then came after me. He was rude aggressive and immature. The situation was so bad that we left the venue just after 9pm He told us if we left we would not get back in, having paid 320 pounds for the night ! He really need some urgent customer service training., The footballer handled the issue with humour and a sense of fun which this manager was completely bereft of. I would never recommend this hotel, Indeed I heard a number of customers either directly complaining to staff or voicing their dissatisfaction This hotel is attempting to be something that it is not. More like a prison. As a guest I was treated disrespectfully. An appalling experience really. Having travelled all over the world staying in great hotels, I found the manager on shift was a total disgrace and out of his depth . He was unable to deal with the simplest of customer service issues with any degree of levity,. The staff were previously described as Dour and pretentious, I agree with that opinion. Our New Years Eve was completely ruined

We called into the dakota over the Christmas holidays for some drinks in the bar on arrival we bumped into the concierge dave we were surprised he remembered us from our last visit even our names nothing is too much trouble for dave even though he was busy he still made sure we were seen to wished us a happy Christmas the place is lovely but its the staff and service that makes the dakota stand out.

I stayed 14/12/2023 for a business trip with a colleague who has stayed before so that we could attend meetings locally. Its situated on an a industrial/retail park just off the M8.
in my opinion The Dakota is a really nice hotel, lovely ambiance, albeit a bit dark. The room was well appointed friendly staff, excellent bed and crisp bedding, a well-designed ensuite with a good shower, everything clean and in excellent condition.
The Restaurant and grill bar was good, wine and food excellent but in my opinion is overpriced especially if your eating there. We looked at the Grill menu and were upsold by a really good waiter as we wanted better starters. OK so I know that this isn't a Michelin star restaurant so at £32.00 just for a sirloin steak without sides it set my expectation and being fair, I don’t mind paying a premium if its excellent, unfortunately it wasn’t.

The meat was cooked perfectly (Medium rare) and seasoned perfectly but the quality of the cut and texture wasn’t and it was in parts quite chewy. I politely pointed this out to the waiter and referenced the grizzle/sinew and chewy fat on the plate! I got a “sorry about that Sir” but nothing more, not even “ill speak to the chef” as he took the plate away. By this time, we were ¾ through the wine which was 2018 Ramon Bilbao reserve, so a nice Rioja about £16-17.00 per bottle online or a shop so you expect to pay double that. I didn’t complain further but it spoiled an otherwise excellent meal but at £51.00 for a main course... it was very expensive. The rest of the meal was fine but again overpriced for what you received.
Starter: £18 for 2 king Scallops also a bit questionable as they were the size of a 10p piece and £10.50 for a cheeseboard for one.

Everything tasted great and the service was 9/10 which 10% (£21.99) was automatically added to the bill which was annoying as I didn't know this and gave the waiter a £20 note for his service.

Drinks are standard hotel prices (expensive). I had a Peroni £6.90, my colleague had a large sparkling water (£4.50) we shared the Rioja reserve at £49.00 and a 1/2 carafe of a cheaper house Rioja (£18.00) So, the bill for dinner was £241.89 (c.£121.95 each) plus my £20.00 tip.

To put this into perspective and even adjusting for the wine it is still MORE EXPENSIVE THAN Gordon Ramsay's in Chelsea, West London an exclusive location, where a 3 course meal and a drink inc tip is £108 per person Making the restaurant, which has THREE Michelin Stars, the most expensive in London.

Breakfast was included in the £92.00 room rate and was very good, lots of choice.

Would I stay again? Potentially, but looking at the grill prices and à la carte prices I probably wouldn't eat there. Disappointed with the steak, it was quite poor against the expectation set. The fact I didn't receive an apology or even an offer of a complimentary pudding or reduction in the bill irritated me, hence the critical but fair revue.

If you are staying for a special occasion and don't mind spending a few quid on dinner then it's a good bet.

I met a friend for a coffee at the Dakota Hotel Eurocentral Motherwell in March 2023. After parking my car I entered the hotel and was greeted by staff who asked how I can help you. I informed them I was meeting a friend for coffee. They showed me to then at area. This was my first visit. I was not informed I had to enter my car registration details at reception. A few weeks later I have a debt collection agency DCBL informing me I have a debit recovery of £170.
In the letter it states there is prominently displayed Terms and Conditions. Upon return to this area the signage is small and is not visible in the dark months of March in Scotland. I was not informed my the staff to register my car but was quickly ushered to the bar area. I find this completely disgusting that Dakota Hotels would do this to customers and believe this bill should be wavered due to Dakota Hotels failure.

Went to the branch in Leeds. Had the best experience of my life. The whole team were very helpful and very supportive! They even treated us to a complimentary champaign! Vincent helped us throughout the whole date, kept checking on us, was very understanding & has adapted to all our needs holistically. Top man! I cannot thank him enough.

I took my friends for afternoon tea in Dakota , Leeds.

The whole experience was thoroughly disappointing.

The service was poor. We waited 40 minutes for our afternoon tea. When it arrived we had two very small finger sandwiches each and the rest was all cakes, too many cakes. What we had was very nice but there should have been a good mix of savoury and sweet.

We had to remind the waiters to bring our tea.

There was only another 3 tables in the restaurant so not busy for a Saturday.

One of the waiters was extremely abrupt with my friend who is 80 and whose birthday we were celebrating . When the bill came they automatically added 10% service charge which I asked to be deducted and to be fair, they did.

Stayed in the Dakota Bellshill last night, room was really nice, food was amazing and the staff really nice. if i had an issue it would be how dark everything is ( even in the bedrooms with all the lights on, lack of signage to find your way around . i get the need for ambience however i got lost a few times and thought i would need to put the torch on to find reception etc.

By far my go to hotel in Leeds. We have been many times and will continue to go. Great staff, great atmosphere and always willing to help, would recommend

Dakota Hotel Manchester. Lovely hotel high standards and quality. Lovely staff on reception and the bar area. Craig the concierge was so helpful with parking our car in the valet parking and giving directions. I will definitely stay there again and highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Manchester.

Stayed here many times and throughly enjoyed every stay! The team are friendly and go above and beyond. The food is perfectly cooked and the cocktails are beautiful 😍

Not the cheapest but considering it was a busy Saturday night in Manchester we were happy with the hotel and location

I have stayed at the Dakota Leeds twice now. Admittedly, the first time, we didn't have a totally smooth experience as our food was 2hrs late and wasnt too pleasant, however, we were drinking the delicious wine it wasn't too bad. I casually mentioned this in passing upon checking out and the team wasn't happy to hear of the experience and immediately wanted to make it right. I had liaised with Alistar Young, who was extremely helpful and personable and he had taken care of and arranged my next stay back at Leeds. The second experience was amazing, I celebrated a birthday whilst here and they ensured we were well looked after. The food was amazing. The evening staff were great and really friendly and it was certainly an evening to remember. Always give second chances, because this hotel certainly redeemed itself and will definitely retain my custom.

I was fortunate to be able to stay at the Dakota Hotel Eurocentral last night. I chose a suite for a special night with my partner. Check in was swift and efficient, the suite was kitted out to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. Fantastic cocktails and great food, with well trained friendly staff. Yes the prices for staying are at the higher end, but the Hotel just oozes quality. I intend to return again soon.
