My experience has been horrible
My experience has been horrible! I basically donate 80 and change a month to have a system that does not work. I have asked multiple times for them to come fix it and I get told someone else will call me. Nobody ever calls me back or responds to emails. Im paying for nothing - I have zero security. They won't cancel it because I have a contract , I told them it doesn't work and still nobody helps me. Don't get into a contract with this company. They are crooks !
Many broken promises - incompetent technicians
Speaking with the sales rep, you get a bunch of empty promises, and woo'd with an awesome system.
When it came time to do the installation, my date and time kept changing on me, but the rep assured me that the time I was promised would happen.
The day of the installation, the technician says they'll be 2 hours late which exceeded the timeframe available. So we were forced to reschedule for the next day.
That day comes, and the technician just doesn't show up. Nobody calls. I reach out to my rep, and he advises that they'll be late, yet again.
When the technician finally comes that evening, he's in such a rush that he leaves a terrible mess of drywall dust everywhere. I had flood sensors with a water main shut off valve in my package, and the incompetent technician installed it on my hot water tank instead. Furthermore, the valve is showing as malfunctioned on my panel since day one. We pointed this out to the tech, and he said it was normal.
I reached out to my rep again, and he said this is not normal, and another tech would call me that day to schedule a time to repair. Nobody called. He advised that he put in an urgent call to have it resolved, and yet nobody has called.
If this is the level of service you can expect from Liberty on an ongoing basis, I fear for when there's an actual emergency.
Way to expensive for what you get
Way to expensive for what you get. Constantly unable to pull up the camera on the door camera. Then you have a limited recording time per month. Wouldnât recommend it.
Like being robbed monthly for 5 years
It would be cheaper and easier to just get robbed. I will never sign a contract with ANY security company after this. After 5 years you pay them $4,320 for crap that didn't do you any good and the customer service is useless.

If something seems too good to be true it usual is. At the start all was good, signed an agreement with the Rep to have Liberty Come and install. Could have sworn the Rep said it was 36 months, i had told him that i already turned down another company as they wanted 60 months. When Tech guy came he installed the equipment, I Did not realize id signed a 60 month contract on there electronic Tablet. Over past couple of years we have had various issues, Dog Friendly motion detector that picks the dog up constantly (now turned off completely), Smoke Alarm failing when your asleep, door bell camera not working, delays in picking up motion so you miss packages being stolen from your door step, Not being able to open the camera from 3 different devices. Be Very Aware, if your equipment fails after 12 month, you will have to fight to get them to help you. Also do not listen to the Rep when he rights down the cost of the equipment that you are getting, you can buy all of it for a lot less than they charge. I have sent an email through BBB to Liberty Explaining my Problems and to see if we can come up with a way to end my contract and have had no reply. I contacted customer support who informed me to cancel my contract i would have to pay $3480 to end it. If only i could go back and read the small print

Horrible company and service. Never has been fully functional. Pushed into signing a five year contract while in a very vulnerable position. Now I pay 90 a month for nothing. For the next five years.

The WORST security system at the highest price. NEVER works. Doorbell camera is set to the lowest sensitivity setting yet always records and runs out of recording space prior to each month (even though I have upgraded). Contract was set for 5 years and I can't wait to conclude!!! Please do your research prior to signing on with this company! VERY unsatisfied customer! I have reached out multiple times and the only response was to have me rejoin for another 5 years?????

This company is greedy! I will not recommend this one to everyone. It is too expensive and the the camera is crappy. Trying to cancel because my husband lost his job. They donât care and the representative told me I need to look for someone to buy out my contract. How can I recommend to somebody if I know they have a bad service. The other option is to pay my remaining balance to them. So I am asking to remove some of the service since I never use it to lower my bill and she said âI canâtâ. This company will going down because of their greedy and no compassion to customer and doesnât care at all after you signed to their contract. BIG SCAM!!!!!!!!

Nope... started off mediocre and techs tried... after the 10 days things got worse. In months even worse again. They hold you to do the buy out... loyalty team said they'd toss me into collections if I dont pay even tho their end of contract wasn't being provided.
They then tried several times to fix when I got angry. THANK YOU TELUS... Lower buy out if needed... same cameras... better app and panelð Even runs as a picture frame when idle!... no freeze ups, delays, or getting blocked out of account! Oh and I can actually stream with Telus if I hear noises outside... unlimited while this company's cameras would shut down before a min and half. Go with a company that cares!

Liberty Security has excellent customer service. I called in to get help with some sensors that weren't working and I was on hold for less than a minute, they fixed my door sensor quickly and they explained how I can fix it myself in the future. The staff there are knowledgeable and very understanding.

I have had Liberty installed in my house since 2016 and I am so happy with it. We chose Liberty to feel safe in our home and know that we would be monitored while we were away on vacation. The customer service is so nice and very helpful! Anytime we have had any questions about our equipment their technical support was able to guide me how to fix it immediately. We accidentally set off the alarm and the 2 way voice came through right away to make sure it was us and if we were okay.
I love that they are a local company to Edmonton. And would recommend this company to anyone.

I have been with Liberty since 2018 and it has been a great experience. I've only had 1 alarm situation (cooking fail) and was instantly contacted by them and cancelled the alarm without any issue. Highly recommend this company!
