We have never felt this disappointed with any other service provider in our whole life. Bell trasnfered our services to API alarms. Poorest service and costumer care. Never abke to reach them.

How is this company able to exist?
I am a customer whose service was migrated over from Bell. Bell's monitoring and customer service was excellent. Since migrating to a.p.i. there have been multiple system malfunctions (sensors gong off line, system alerts, random beeping) so I sent an email on April 6th requesting service be terminated. No reply. This week we have called a.p.i daily seeking to stop the endless beeping and end our service. Each time the held call went to voicemail after 20 minutes and no voice messages have been replied to. The account continued to be billed.
DO NOT GET API ALARM. Scam Company
Tried calling API Alarm to cancel service. After waiting for hours, the call hangs up.
Call my credit card company, they advised NOT to stop payment as it may go on my credit bureau.
They do not answer emails about cancellation either!!!
Do Not Hire API Alarm

Our experience:
We cancelled our service last November and informed you numerous times via email and by telephone. We queried what should be done with hardware, but did not hear back. It was great how you didn't return any of our calls requesting defect rectification service but, when we requested a sizeable upgrade to our system, MAGICALLY someone contacted us right away. Great business model: take the customer's money in return for shit service.
Of note, it was unacceptable for Bell to sluff off our account to another business, especially one as incompetent as yours, without our consultation. Again, once we determined your business to be grossly incompetent, we cancelled your service, yet you continue to harass us as, apparently, you cannot manage the simple task of closing out an account.
You are the most unprofessional business with which we have ever had the displeasure of dealing. Your customer service is a total joke which is backed up by the numerous terrible reviews that have been posted online; one of which, now, being ours.
A big old 1 out of 5 stars is more than you deserve.

They charged me nearly 300.00 to upgrade to 5g,and there own work sheet that I requested states 0 for the part nearly 300.00 for installation that never took place.They sent me the part in the mail.bell or rogers upgrade at no charge, when i called them back they kept me on the phone waiting for over 20 mins then they hung up on me,im going after them for fraud.

The company is a scam
The company is a scam. I did not have any account with them, never heard of them and somehow they are billing my bank account monthly. Trying to cancel I am told they don't have me in their system, yet the AI and the first person I spoke to had all of my info. But somehow the person tasked to cancel accounts could not find me, placed me on hold and hung up on me.
Like everyone else
Like everyone else, I have not been able to get in contact with anyone. I need a sensor replaced but I can't get any service person to return my calls. I contacted to cancel service and that hasn't happened either - I will have to dispute with the bank. Customer Service is non existent. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
Zero star rating in reality
If I could give no star rating I would. I had a camera installed by Bell. The service was then transferred to API. I canceled the service with API and was not told I was in a contract with another year left. I did not receive notification of this or that payments were due. I ended up in a creditors hands owing $300.00 and the possibility of my credit score being ruined. API employees are not informed and not properly trained or instructed to provide clients with information required. I believed when I was told my service was canceled I was done. This was in Dec 2025 and received the creditors email in April 2026. Both Bell and API are horrible to deal with. Do not recommend either!

API alarm - rip off artists
Was with Fluent - had no issues - then Fluent decided to "join up with API Alarm and the service nose dived. Flash forward to account paid in full (have invoices and emails to prove it) and they are still trying to take money out of my wife's account.
To any future "possible" customers - look elsewhere - API alarm is not worth your time, money or effort.

I am reaching out again because your company’s support experience has been nothing short of terrible. When trying to contact you, this is what we consistently encounter:
The extension number you instruct us to call is not valid.
When the system finally routes to an agent, it immediately transfers again and no one ever answers — it just loops endlessly.
Your automated system keeps saying, “Submit a form and we will reach out,” but no one ever responds.
Meanwhile, we continue receiving useless and unprofessional notifications from your system.
Imagine this happening at a company that claims to provide security services. What a joke. If this is how you operate your own support and communication systems, it raises serious concerns about the reliability of the security you claim to provide.
This needs to be addressed immediately.
I expect a direct response — not another loop, invalid extension, or empty form submission reply.

STAY AWAY from API alarm company
I have had nothing but problems since Bell sold there alarm services to API.
My camera and smoke Alarm have been problematic. I can not get a hold of anyone. For months I have left phone messages and emails. I have tried canceling my services as well via phone message and email. I'm beginning to think they don't even have a customer service department.
They are awful.
Who wants to deal with an alarm…
Who wants to deal with an alarm monitoring company that can't answer phone calls, emails or frankly anything? Imagine if there was an actual emergency!!! I've tried multiple times via multiple channels to get a service cancelled or even a response. Since October 2025 and it's now late March 2026. I think the only they are capable of is sending invoices.

Originally I was with Fluent Home. When Fluent and API Alarm combined, API took over my account. I could not use my service for MONTHS as they had never sent a new panel that was needed for services to work with 5G. I contacted API multiple times regarding that issue with no help or reply at all.
For 7 months I have been trying to get in contact with someone from API Alarm. I have sent numerous emails, phoned and left voicemails multiple times on numerous occasions. The one and only time I was able to speak with an actual person -not a prompt or a voicemail- in August 2025, she ensured me that my account was canceled and no further charges would be made on my account as of August 12th 2025. I sent the appropriate cancellation notice to customer service. My bank had to block them from my account as they continued to try and take payments for a service that was canceled.
7 months later and they are saying i owe over $300 on a renewed contract that I have NEVER signed. A formal report will be made with the appropriate authorities.

I cancelled this service right after Bell sold it off.
They acknowledged my account was now closed. Nov. 2025.
API continued to debit account for 3 months after the fact. Had my bank stop payments and they (BMO) were great to reverse the charges.
Filed a complaint against them the BBB. Resolution was to stop debiting my account and refund the 3 months. API acknowledge this in documented filings.
March 20, 2026 API debited my account for the 3 months of service fees they were supposed to credit.
Have gone back to BBB to try to resolve again.

Do not use their service
Do not use their service. It is beyond bad. I even tried to reinitiate my service as I did not want to pay $3000 for new equipment to be installed. Even after signing document to start their service i could not get anyone to talk to in over a week. Cancelled service again.
We were forced into API
We were forced into API, when bell sold the company, right from day 1, I could not get any message returned. We had several issues, with service and equipment, and could only access voicemail, which were never responded to. This is the worst customer support I have ever experienced. Do you not sign up with this company, if you have a choice.
