Honestly, i've had a way better experience with lichess, on chess.com they are more revenue oriented and try to just have everyone pay for this and that, and once u are ranked, u start playing with cheaters back and forth, out of the 20 games i played there, 14 of them were cheaters that got 98.6+% accuracy or more. APPRECIATE LICHESS MORE, IT'S BETTER, MORE STABILIZED.

„Ich habe mich entschlossen, die App zu löschen und dem System den Rücken zu kehren. Es ist bedauerlich, wie ein eigentlich wertvolles Projekt durch die Hinterhältigkeit der Nutzer korrumpiert wird.

Meine Erfahrung zeigt: Jeder dritte Spieler scheint mittlerweile eine Engine als Krücke zu benutzen. Es ist ein klägliches Schauspiel, wenn Gegner in einer 30-Minuten-Partie nach der Eröffnung 24 Minuten lang pausieren, nur um dann in den verbleibenden 4 Minuten mit maschinenhafter Präzision jeden Zug perfekt zu exekutieren.

Gegen solche ‚armen Würstchen‘ zu spielen, die ohne technische Hilfe nicht bestehen können, ist eine reine Zeitverschwendung. Da das System diese parasitäre Unaufrichtigkeit nicht wirksam unterbindet, geht der Wert des ehrlichen Wettkampfs völlig verloren. Wer Qualität, Wahrheit und Integrität sucht, wird hier bitter enttäuscht.

Ich ziehe die Konsequenz und lösche das Konto. Lieber spiele ich direkt gegen eine Maschine und weiß, woran ich bin, als mich mit der Unzuverlässigkeit und dem Betrug dieser menschlichen Mogelpackungen abzugeben.“

I grew bored of playing against the most obvious cheaters of any game, so I started cheating to prove how easy it is to my chess friends and family, and the public. One month, hundreds of games. Lichess does not care, and never will as long as investment keeps rolling and backers keep paying.

Weve all cancelled our accounts, and refuseI to play on an app that permits it. Permanently closed my account and will never use the app again.

Lichess are literally vitriol to the chess community.

The platform that does the most for the chess community. A fully free play zone with lots of additional features whether it's broadcasting tournaments or analyzing games and it doesn't stop improving. People complain a lot about cheaters but they are doing their best and I suspect many people don't own their mistakes (if you play like shit don't be surprise your opponent destroys you with few or no mistakes - and it happens to everyone don't worry)

Aussi nul que l'autre site d'échecs payant. Tricheurs sur tricheurs. Vraiment, les sites d'échecs se foutent de nous et n'ont aucun respect pour ce jeu. I moved from chess.com due to the huge amount of software cheating but sadly this now affects Lichess and you can't report it. Both say they take steps but it's not working best to play friends or bots as at least 50% of games are cheats!

Demandez-vous pourquoi ils n'échangent pas avec leur communauté.

Nur Cheater unterwegs elo 1200 und spielen wie 2000 und wenn man sich nicht von Ihnen abziehen lassen will und das Spiel ablehnt wird man 2 Stunden gesperrt!
Andere dürfen 10 Züge in unter einer „Sekunde“ machen ohne gesperrt zu werden. Jeder soll ein schönes Spiel haben! Jeder der die Taschen des Betreibers mit Geld füllt!

The platform itself is fine and convenient to use. However the support service they provide is terrible. The only way to find a solution to any type of tech or service problem is through forum, but if you raise any inconvenient question you simply get shut up. They have awful system of fighting against cheaters, very low efficiency. When you point out some particular players that they are cheating, basically helping them do their job, in reply you get banned or muted on forum, so that you are not even able to communicate. So it is a awfully managed although convenient platform. The only reason why I am still using it cause they have very nice tournaments which I am fond of. If it was not for that I would have left it long time ago.

My account was banned by Lichess’ anti-cheat system without a clear explanation. I am a 1900+ FIDE-rated player and do not use engines or any external assistance.

I submitted an appeal and asked for the specific reason or evidence behind the flag, but received no meaningful explanation. Accusing players of cheating without transparency or proper communication is highly unprofessional.

Until Lichess improves its moderation transparency and appeal process, I would not recommend using this platform, as legitimate players can be banned without clear justification.

Ich spiele sehr gerne auf Lichess. Meiner Meinung nach ist es eine der besten und größten Schachplattformen überhaupt. Besonders gut finde ich die Idee, Schach für jeden kostenlos zugänglich zu machen. Die Plattform bietet sehr viele Funktionen, und das komplett kostenlos.

Es gibt viele Spielmöglichkeiten, Trainingsoptionen und Analysen, die einem wirklich helfen, besser zu werden. Für mich gehört Lichess zusammen mit Chess.com zu den größten und besten Schachplattformen. Der Unterschied ist allerdings, dass bei Lichess alle Features kostenlos verfügbar sind, was ich persönlich sehr positiv finde.

The elo system is shit. I'm trying to learn chess and I'm required to lose 20+ games to people at my level. I tried to lose games in the first two rounds and I got my account in trouble for "sandbagging". I am literally forced to get destroyed for hours before I can actually play against people of my experience. I was recommended to try this but I'm switching back to Chess.com

Less than 1/5. I am a club player. Top 1 % at every big chess site. With pretty high rank. But at lichess 2 games on 10 I play against cheaters. Horrible anticheat. Not recommend, unless you want to end games with the feel of time lost, playing against some psychos. Like the last one.. draw ofer at move 10. "You decline? OK, now I' m gonna cheat." Horrible place to play.

Leuk om te schaken, GEEN BETALING maar ineens als ik een variant wil spelen dan moet ik zo klikken op 'atoomschaak' maar op de achtergrond staat zo nieuws van de community dus als ik klik dan ga ik naar dat nieuws maar niet naar de variant (ik speel trouwens op gsm en tegen computer) ook jammer dat je alleen varianten kan spelen op het browser. Ik speelde vroeger liever op lichess dan op chess.com want op lichess is het gratis maar nu stap ik terug over door de varianten.

Lichess does nothing about cheaters; users with new accounts (1-2 business days old) are playing like Bob Fisher.

Trying to improve your rating on Lichess is a waste of time. The site doesn't have a ranking system; the maximum you can play per day is one game, just to practice against cheaters.

If you're looking to improve, buy a chessboard, buy a beginner and advanced chess book, and practice your tactics on a physical chessboard at home. You'll improve a lot and might even become a world champion in the future.

Trying to improve on online chess sites is a waste of time; it's full of cheaters. You'll get frustrated, you might become depressed, and your mind could be harmed by the site doing nothing to ban cheaters. If you go to the Lichess forum, you might even get banned for saying there are cheaters on the platform.

The site itself, Chess.com, creates these bots with mass cheaters through an API to deceive users.

There aren't millions of people on the site in real life; it's all a scam.

If you want to improve, go to a chess club or practice with chessboards at home using a chess book.

Chess.com teaching LiChess how to support cheaters. Playing scumbags that won 28 games in a raw. Sad!
