Your travel eSIM comes with carrier voice, not VoIP. A real French mobile number (which works in all 248 countries), +33, running on Orange, alongside your data. It behaves like a phone number because it is one. Most travel eSIMs that advertise a number hand you a recycled VoIP line. Recycled means it belonged to somebody else before it belonged to you. Plenty of apps and banks refuse VoIP outright for verification, and none of them tell you why. The code just never arrives. You stand there working out whether the app is broken, the network is broken, or you are. The second VoIP problem is the one nobody mentions. VoIP needs data to work at all. Get out past the edge of town, where there is enough signal for a call and nothing more, and the VoIP number is dead. A carrier number rings. So the ordinary things work. You order food to a hotel and the delivery app texts you a code. A taxi driver calls to say he is outside. Your bank wants a verification code before it lets you log in. We tested this ourselves in the United States, Japan, Korea and Ireland. Customers have used it in many more places than that. Coverage runs across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, North Africa and the Middle East, 248 supported countries in all. Country plans and regional plans, priced in USD. The number and data are good for 31 days. Extend it 31 days at a time, same number/more data, as long as you need it. The clock starts at first network attach, not at purchase. Buy before you fly and it begins when you land in a supported country. It works on any unlocked phone. Unlocked iPhone, unlocked Android. Buy online and the eSIM arrives right away. It installs quickly via one tap or scanning a QR code. No account, no password. Just a name and an email. Stripe handles payment, so we never see your card. A number that still works when your data does not, and data/voice/SMS that doesn't cost a fortune when you are roaming out of your home country. That is the point.もっと見る
