They are the worst dealer i have ever had the misfortune to deal with they have more cowboys working for them than yellowstone ranch .

I have been buying motorcycles for over 40 years and have never had such a positive experience. I’m 180 miles from the shop in Ipswich and I needed to know the journey was to be worthwhile. The salesman could not have done more to help. I had all the information, all the video and still images I wanted. And it was cracking deal. Many thanks!

Lings of Dunmow - what an absolute joke !
Bought a new Triumph Bobber in September 2023. Bike delivered to my home, it was absolutely filthy - covered in grease and dirt, the tank was scratched, very little fuel despite a full tank promised (they did refund the cost of a tank of fuel after my complaint). I was told the bike would be collected free of charge for its 600 mile service and it would be thoroughly cleaned and the tank scratch rectified. On booking the bike in for first service I was told it would not be collected unless I paid £100, I reminded them of our agreement due to the state it arrived in and they said "have you got that in writing ?". I referred them to the sales person who agreed it and was told he had left so would not honour the agreement. I took the bike in for the service and no cleaning was carried out, nor was the scratch addressed.
My bike needed some work done on faulty components under warranty so I took it back for this. Upon collection I found my bike was covered in an oily spray and greasy hand prints. Upon closer inspection I found it had been scratched on the tank again, on the rear mudguard, on both front indicator bodies (one side cracked), and something had hit one exhaust downpipe leaving a large black and red mark, clips had not been put back correctly and on the ride home I was unable to engage gear/got stuck in gear on several occassions.
The bike was collected after my complaints and I was told it would be returned that week. I heard nothing for 2 weeks despite being told I would be kept up to date. I rang to ask where my bike was and was told it just needed the scratches sorting out. Another 2 weeks later I rang again as again no one had contacted me and was told the same thing (just scratches to sort out). Two days later I was contacted by Serena (very nice service receptionist) and she arranged for my bike to be brought back to me (although they asked to change that a couple of days later). My bike arrived back, it was again covered in an oily spray, the exhaust downpipe had not been addressed and now the exhaust and battery box strap (metal) are also scratched. I spoke to Fraser Haynes and he agreed that he would look into this and come back to me with what he would do about it. I emailed photos of the damage to him as requested and have emailed again to ask what is happening but so far no reply !!!
I would NOT recommend Lings of Dunmow to anyone
