AVOID AND BE WARNED! Shoddy Shysters afoot
It's been over 12 months and Oscar Zhao and the LMY Auto team have now resorted to ignoring any correspondence all together for poor quality, non fitting, shoddy products whilst refusing to honour refund policy.
They left me with a poor quality likely drop shipped piece of trash uglying the boot of the vehicle without replacement, refund and non response even to the ACCC when escalated to them.
There were several back and forth correspondence with Oscar Zhao admitting to the following: 1. Damaged materials used to fabricate car boot liner in the Sydney floods.... 2. Poor fit due to cheap faux leather material used 3. Poorer fit due to poor template used 4. admittedly they just winged it and added a tailgate piece that is advertised but not apparently normally fabricated on their liners
These are the passages from Oscar's email responses:
"We will remake the left side piece for you and arrange shipment once it’s ready." --- (note, he never remade anything nor sent out)
"I just want to let you know that our horizontal stripe raw material was unfortunately damaged during the recent heavy rainstorms in Sydney, which has caused a production delay."
"The new batch of material is expected to arrive in about one week. As soon as we receive it, we will immediately start production for your remake." --- (what remake?)
"After checking the photos and the design again, we found that even if we remake the side panels, the same problem would still occur — mainly because both sides of your boot are quite narrow."
---- (so never remade nor assisted in the faulty product. Did not comply with his own company refund policy on website. And why do you need to consult with a designer for a product they apparently make all the time?)
Beyond woeful experience. Still undergoing a legal process now purely out of pricinple as this is not a way to run a business. How on earth this business stays afloat aiming to cater for premium service is baffling.
The product appears as a cheap temu drop sale. The service is below Temu, at least they have nice mannered AI bots to respond.
It would give me pleasure to see this Shyster business go down.

The fit in my 2015 Mercedes G350D was so bad it almost felt like the floor mats weee designed for another vehicle. I contacted customer service and they advised to just keep using more Velcro to get the mats to sit in place. There is so much Velcro in place now that removing the mats to clean is a disaster as each time the Velcro gets pulled off. I’ve also got a large collection of pieces I need to cut from the mats to get them to clear seat rails, OEM cup holders etc. Will look to finding a genuine set of mats and send the LMY auto ones straight to landfill.

The 100% fit guarantee is a lie, as are their claims of "a perfect, no-measurement-needed fit for every vehicle". In their own words: "the actual product is customised based on the specific requirements of your car". I ordered a custom full-coverage car boot liner, providing photos of my cargo space and clearly informed LMY that it was a plug-in hybrid model (which has a different sized boot than the straight petrol model due to the battery).
The boot liner does not fit correctly, and after sending numerous photos demonstrating this, LMY agreed to remake the panels (5 out of 6) which did not correctly align with my vehicle. That was on 19 December. Due to Christmas and New Years I have been patient, however contacted them on January 19 to request an update on the replacement.
They have now ghosted me - failing to respond to my request for an update, and failing to action their fit guarantee.
Aside from this the general construction quality is average at best, with the velcro (for attaching to your boot) poorly attached (most pieces barely have a corner caught in the stitching), meaning it doesn't attach well to the car.
Overall review - While the materials themselves appear to be of good quality, the customer service and workmanship are poor, and the "100% fitment guarantee" is a scam.
The only reviews on their website are 5 stars... and notably they have not published my own 1 star rating. Buyer Beware.
