Thank you for your purchase and review of the Office Timeline add-in. We are so glad that you are pleased with the tool’s integration with PowerPoint, intuitive interface, and professional output.

With regards to the time units displayed by default on the timescale of your graphic, the add-in calculates them based on the calendar year (January – December). However, if your organization’s fiscal year (FY) starts on a different month than January, you can easily configure the add-in to show your custom FY on the timeline. To successfully bring your project data into Office Timeline with no start and end dates, you will need to remap the columns that you wish to be imported. The add-in maps by default the start and end date columns, but you can change the standard items to customized ones as follows:

Meanwhile, the add-in allows you to show your project’s real status against the scheduled course of action through % complete indicators for your tasks, as well as “Today” and “Elapsed Time” markers on the timescale of your graphic.

It is indeed true that the tool’s current list of date formats does not include the option of displaying only the month. However, you can choose to have the timescale of your graphic expressed in months and not years by following the steps in the support article below:
