BUYER BEWARE!
Hello everyone, my name is Ken and I’m the founder of TLK Fusion. Over the past several weeks a former client, Lutava, owned by Casey Chavez and Nick Benavides, has posted statements about our company across several platforms including the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, Reddit, Google Reviews, and Trustpilot, and we want to provide additional context. The individuals behind these posts operate BMBO Inc., doing business as Lutava, and Nick Benavides also operates a company known as Storm Trooper Coaches.
After the engagement concluded, attorneys representing Lutava sent a demand email requesting approximately $143,000 despite the engagement totaling just over $20,000 in services. Because the dispute has now been discussed publicly, we believe it is appropriate to clarify several points using the documented record from the engagement.
During the engagement there were more than 180 email exchanges, numerous calls discussing strategy and outreach, and communication through our Basecamp project management platform, with a Slack channel also created but never activated by the client. Eight recap reports were delivered over approximately ten months summarizing outreach activity, retailer communications, and strategic progress, and multiple calls were scheduled to review progress and answer questions. Lutava also participated in our email marketing, content creation, and public relations programs, with deliverables completed and two PR placements secured within approximately 45 days, while five retailers requested product samples as part of the retail buyer evaluation process. Public posts have also referenced a court proceeding involving a temporary restraining order, which the court did not grant, noting that the issues would require proper briefing and review through the normal legal process. TLK Fusion has worked with thousands of brands over nearly two decades, and for anyone who would like to review the full timeline and documentation related to this matter, please visit tlkresponse...net
