AI on Lyca doesn't solve service issues
Realise AI interactions with your customers doesn't usually work unless it's a simple query. I had a technical question and it was nowhere near fit for service.
I found out that there is essentially no customer service with Lyca, just a SIM card product if that's all you need.

LycaMobile kept charging the wrong debit card
I updated the debit card information in the app, but LycaMobile kept charging the wrong old debit card to renew my data plan for 3 months in a row. Every month that this happened, I sent an email to their support department explaining the situation. Never got a response. In the end the solution (most likely) is to just cancel the plan completely and then start all over again. Not really customer friendly...

I have had a very disappointing experience with Lyca Mobile.
I tried many times to attach my new bank card, but the app kept showing errors and would not save it. There also appears to be a bug where, if an auto-renewal package is active, it is impossible to purchase a new package.
I also faced multiple top-up issues. I paid â¬7 than â¬8 received a "processing" message, and the money was deducted from my bank account, but I never received the mobile data.
These problems are especially frustrating when traveling outside Portugal within the EU, as reliable mobile service is essential. Lyca Mobile needs to fix these issues and improve its payment and top-up system.
