Macy's delivery of a Xmas gift was a disaster..Didn't arrive before Xmas, sent to wrong post office, sent back to Macy's..I was never notified it was returned..Paid for plus they had my item also..I called the receiver & found out it was never delivered..Macy's never notified me..Refused to send the correct one out..bad business with Customer service.They will lie, tell you made up stories regarding ur item..I'll never shop at Macy's again.Still waiting for return of my $$ for purchase..it's been since December
Returns basically impossible
I ordered some shoes that did not fit. I attempted to return and ran into so many issues.
1. Macy's refused to refund to original payment method and only offered a gift card. (?!?)
2. As a star member I should not pay for return shipping, but they wanted about $9 for a shipping label, which I decided is too much.
3. I drove half an hour to the store to return the item in person. The lady at the checkout told me they no longer accept returns because they are closing the store.
4. I tried to buy another item in that same store and after standing in the checkout with no progress whatsoever for minutes, I dropped the item and left with my un-returnable shoes.
5. At home, I tried to change my return to a mail return- guess what? Their online system doe snot allow cancellations of returns nor changes and I am stuck with the unwanted item.
That's it. I will never order anything ever again from Macy's and just make use of my Amazon prime membership or buy from some other, smaller brands directly. Better prices, better service. No wonder they are going out of business in so many locations.

Terrible just terrible I ordered an item cost of item 816.00 they canceled my order because of verification issues so they say even though I called and wouldâve sent anything they needed to verify they told me I will be funded to try to order again . Against my better judgment I went ahead and had my sister order something the transaction went thru they took another 816.00 jus to cancel the order just four days after taking payment saying that it was sold out after me reaching out the same day seeing when it will be shipped out then telling me Iâll receive order on Valentineâs Day jus to hear a few hours later itâs out of stock so Macyâs has a total of 1600 pending from me with no refund

I tried to make a purchase with a gift card and they st ole my money by denying the transaction but still taking the money from the gift card. Despite repeated attempts and jumping through hoops to get my money back, it's been missing for months and they have no intentions of returning it. The worst customer service and identity protection I have ever seen. DO NOT under any circumstances give your information to Macys. My Macys account was hacked a few months ago. It has been a complete nightmare ever since. I had to call over ten times to straighten it out. All I heard from them was "No worries." TEN times they swore they fixed it. I know the perp didn't try to change it back. It was Macys that never fixed it. Now, two months later, I find out they never changed the Email back. I tried to check on my purchase I made from inside the store, and they STILL HAD the perps email. The customer service said they couldn't give me any information on my order because my email didn't match. I will never make a purchase from Macys again.

Macy's - price gouger extraordinaire
In December, 2024 I needed to replace my rollaboard suitcase and went to the Macy's in Santa Barbara, CA. The Travel Pro Elite 21" met my needs. The listed full price was $859.99 (!!) with an interim sale price of $400 somethng - I don't remember the exact figure. However, there was a "sale" going on and the final price was $330. I bought the luggage as I didn't have time to comparison shop and/or order online, but I later saw that the full MSR on the Travelpro website is $429 with a sale price a few dollars cheaper than what I paid at Macy's - shipping is free. Looking at the same piece of luggage today - January 26, 2025 - Macy's is selling it for $859.99!! Moral of the story is beware of Macy's price gouger to the nation.

Please revisit your policies and training. I received two pairs of shoes for Christmas as a gift. There was no gift receipt that came with the shoes provided to me or in the shipment. Macys would not process the return without proof of purchase. I got the order number from the person who gifted it to me and then they credited the card of the person who purchased them for me. It is getting to the point where I will not ask for gifts from Macys because my customer service experiences are so bad.

The accounting department isâŠ
The accounting department is dysfunctional. I have been a client since the late 90's. They send us a bill with the wrong account number for a purchase made by another card holder. In a second instance. They sent a bill for collection for $113.00, but this time while the account was incorrect, it was linked to my social security number (how is it possible?). Thus, I finally paid, and closed two accounts with Macy's. Where is the top notch Macy's where we used to shop?
Online inventory inaccurate, do not trust
Why have an online purchase option if itâs inaccurate?!? And then waiting a whole weeks to tell me something is out of stock?!? Sorry Macys, will never trust your company again. This is inventory 101 and you failed.

WORST shopping experience
Very dissatisfying shopping experience. I thought I was buying from Macyâs. Placed the order on 12/5/24. Wife didnât like the items. I returned them through a Macyâs store on 12/26/24 only to find that they came from a 3rd party vendor. I would not have purchased had I known.
Called Macyâs on 1/4/25. Jane couldnât find the order. She said sheâd put in a request for full refund. Now itâs 1/10/25 and it appears that Jane did nothing.
I called again and spoke with Carlos on 1/10/25. After providing the order and return numbers, he also could not locate the order and gave me a similar response to what Jane told me on 1/4. After an hour on the phone (mostly on hold with a bad song on repeatâŠplay the same song), Carlosâ final outcome was to request full refund that will be credited to my credit card in 7-10 business days (up to 2 weeks from now).
UNACCEPTABLE! Macyâs has had my money for over 5 weeks and the returned merchandise for over 2 weeks.
After his supervisor reviewed the order/refund status, the best Macyâs could offer was a $25 credit for the inconvenience of the refund delay. I negotiated that amount up to a $100. That was supposed to be emailed to me but I havenât received it yet.
Not the outcome a customer should receive. A full refund expedited and processed during this call would have been optimalâŠfirst call resolution.
This is not how a customer should be treated. Refunds should be timely after receipt of returned merchandise. I donât have these issues when I shop with Amazon.
As a customer, I am dissatisfied. I should avoid macys.com for future purchases and shop at Amazon instead.

I filed a complaint with the BBB due to the fact MACYS decided to give me a credit when I made a return instead of giving my monies back. Customer service especially rude and horrendous.
