Wouldn’t waste your time.
Initially contacted about a role, asked my availability to interview potentially, didn’t hear back that week, so chased late on the Friday afternoon. Was told they’re be in touch as they had a meeting with the client yesterday, requested and update and feedback, no reply. Called twice, no answer or reply to my initial email the day before.
Communication poor, wouldn’t waste your time, sub par recruitment.
Ended up asking to withdraw from the process and to delete my details from their database.

0 stars do not reccomend waste of time
(0stars) were hired in consett and told we would get shifts was good for first 2 weeks working as i got shifts but then after that it was 3 weeks straight of no shifts he even told me i could get a shifts multiple times and then a hour before id be about to start he said "sorry shifts unavailable tonight" then he just stopped messaging alltogether i tried getting put on morning shifts and everytime i asked he would just ignore my request i had to ruin my sleep schedule for this job and it wasnt worth it at all DO NOT RECOMMEND ps thanks for nothing peter

Unprofessional onboarding and terrible communication at Oldbury branch
I went through the recruitment process for a French-speaking role at the Oldbury branch. I was instructed to sign a Contract for Services and a Worker Handbook. Their system glitched and rejected my passport scan. Everything was going smoothly till their system blamed my document. Following their instructions, I immediately emailed my valid passport over for a manual check and called the office to confirm it was received. They explicitly promised on the phone that they had it and would verify it.Instead, they ignored my emails and phone calls. Because they neglected my compliance files, their central system automatically blocked me from starting just 48 hours before my start date. To make matters worse, they only sent me the rejection email at 4:00 PM on the exact day I was supposed to start the job, which is an absolute disgrace. To cover up this administrative laziness, they then sent a generic template email claiming the client chose someone else, and gave completely different excuses on the phone about a "scoring system."Forcing a candidate to sign these documents and collect sensitive passport data before an official job offer is finalized—only to drop them due to internal administrative negligence—is completely unacceptable. Be very careful registering with this branch.

We’re sorry to hear that you are disappointed with your experience. However, at no point were your emails or calls ignored, and communication was maintained throughout the process in line with our standard procedures.
Regarding your onboarding, all candidates are required to complete identity verification through our secure third-party system. In this instance, the ID verification was not successfully completed via the required process, which can occasionally happen if documents cannot be validated automatically. Guidance was provided to support this.
Unfortunately, progression in the process is also dependent on client requirements and final selection decisions, which sit outside of our control. In this case, the client did not proceed with your application.
We take onboarding and compliance very seriously and aim to ensure all processes are handled fairly, consistently, and securely for every candidate.
As per your request, your details have been removed from our system. If you would like to discuss this further, you are welcome to contact us directly.

We want to be very clear that all earnings and payroll information for assignments worked through Major Recruitment are processed in line with HMRC requirements and reporting regulations. We do not alter or withhold earnings figures, and where individuals have worked for us on separate assignments, appropriate documentation (including P45s where applicable) is issued accordingly.
In this case, we have already provided the relevant P45 documentation on two separate occasions relating to your periods of employment with us. At this stage, there is no further action we are able to take from a payroll perspective, as any discrepancies with HMRC records would need to be reviewed directly with HMRC.
That said, we take all concerns seriously. If you would like us to re-check the records we hold, we are still happy to do so and ensure everything has been issued correctly and in full transparency.

AVOID
AVOID. They have no respect for their workers. They failed to inform me about my shifts being cancelled. They give you the worker handbook, but they don't follow ANYTHING written in it. Never in my life have I been threatened with so much disrespect as by this agency.

Started well, deteriorated when I was not selected for the role
Started well, with numerous phone calls regarding the role being considered for, availability etc.
After filling in all very personal details, the communication became automated, suddenly the agent that was extremely sweet to start with had no time to discuss anything.
In calls, gave an expression in being better than "umbrella companies", with this service, I don't think so.
treating people and their personal information like a commodity is very unprofessional.
After requesting to delete my personal details of their database, they cannot even provide proof that has been done. According to the same agent, I should just take their word for it.

You can't just sweep things under the rug.
I uploaded a review of this company in May 2025 and almost a year later it seems though my review has been reported for containing defamatory content. Upon trust pilot reviewing this, it was evidently incorrect.
Please mind this company will try remove negative reviews, evidently trying to hide any issues they may have as a company rather than resolve them. I would avoid this company at all costs.

I had the pleasure of being looked after by Louise throughout my recruitment process.
Louise demonstrated the utmost professionalism and diligence that you would hope to see in a recruiter, without forgetting to show compassion and greatly build up my confidence ahead of an interview.
As I had not been through a recruitment process in some years, I was nervous about what to expect, however Louise was there every step of the way, checking in and answering any questions that I had with respect, understanding and a (highly appreciated) sense of humour.

Wry good agency, good people to deal with
I signed up with Major Recruitment almost a year ago and they have been able to get me a job straight away.
I was directly in contact with Leanne and Gary and it always been a pleasure. When I started college Gary helped me and went to extend to get me a part time weekend job.
