I have been using Maps.me since 2016 and have logged my travels in a series of bookmarks, these have all recently disappeared from the app meaning I have lots years work of information. This once superb offline resource is now almost useless. I hope the developers sit up and take notice.

ll y a 1 an, les cartes étaient téléchargeables en illimitées, bien qu'ils y manquaient pas mal de lieux, surtout des noms de rues...
Aujourd'hui, ce qui change : Rien, si ce n'est payant !

Since 2016 I was a very enthusiastic user of this offline app! I note in it all the places I want to visit (POI): museums, restaurants and hotels, street art, and so much more.... with additional comments, so handy! When the software was commercialized, things went wrong: last year some bookmarks already disappeared, now I lost all my marked POIs and kml files except 2 tracks and 12 bookmarks... All to OsmAnd? Or do we trust the fork of MAPS.ME namely Organic maps?

War eine sehr gute App und hat mich auf Reisen immer gut geführt. Jetzt ist sie leider unverschämt teuer geworden.

J'ajoute ma voix aux déçus de l'évolution d'une application qui était simple et est devenue compliquée, instable et sujette à payer des cartes renseignées en collaboratif... Dommage, mais salut Maps.Me.

D'une appli simple et efficace nous sommes passés à une appli inutilement surchargée, limitée ou commerciale. Quel dommage !
Je désinstalle.

Juste avant de désinstaller cette application que j’utilisais depuis des années, je voulais m’assurer que je n’étais pas la seule à ne plus l’aimer !! Quel dommage. Beau gâchis.

C'était une app extra, gratuite, qui permettait de se repérer sur le terrain même sans réseau...
Depuis la dernière MAJ on nous pousse à payer, le nombre de cartes disponibles est limité, bref...
Je ne félicite pas les développeurs.

Jusqu'à la dernière mise à jour c'était une super application, l'application est devenue 10 fois trop lente, le nombre de cartes à télécharger est limité ce qui n'était pas le cas avant.
Dommage je passe chez GPX viewer

Eine Frechheit sondergleichen. Habe maps.me von Anfang an mit einer Jahresgebühr unterstützt. Doch nun herrscht die Geldgier und es wird abgezockt mit einer Monatsgebühr und Jahresgebühr die fast 8x so hoch ist !!!
Werde da derzeitige Abonnement kündigen und mir ein anderes App suchen.

An originally great app now ruined by greedy developers. Helpful functions like lane help and speed limit are now locked behind a paywall. Would not recommend.

I've been using Maps.me for years and recommending it to colleagues and organisations. It used to be free, simple and a powerful tool. Some time in 2022 I began to notice problems, which became more frequent. Now the number of downloaded maps has been limited to ten, and the option to pay to increase the number is not working, and other features seriously compromised. Now a glitchy untrustworthy piece of bloatware, it no longer works at all. A superb app ruined by commercial greed.

Quite good offline maps, working well for trip planning, but there are constant troubles with navigation. Here are the most annoying issues:

First - it is not possible to contact support directly from the app. There has always been an error message.

Second - the navigation logic is very weird. It always tries to select the shortest path. Even if I chose to drive a little bit longer way on a main road, the guide insists on getting me off the road to small and narrow parallel roads. It would be great to change the logic or to add an option "prefer main roads". The most annoying is when the navigation pushes you to turn back even after you have driven a few kilometers on a main road and still going to continue driving there. And yes, the option "avoid motorways" is off and "avoid unpaved roads" is on.

Third - sometimes the phone locks after a few minutes of inactivity (screen not touched), even being in navigation mode. This happens every second time while using the navigation, even with the "power save" set to "never"

UPDATE OF 4/09/23: tried to get in touch with support - no reply. They simply ignore your help requests. That's why one more star off.

Application très simple d'utilisation à l'étranger dans les années 2017-2018. J'ai voulu m'en reservir ce week-end, c'est devenu un vrai charabia! Pourquoi faire simple quand on peut faire compliqué?

I've used this app in the past, mostly for walking, and it was precise and clear, with the voice telling me in advance how far to the next turn and if it was left or right. I had recommended it to a number of people.

Today I drove from Paso Robles to Santa Maria, California. Instead of keeping me on Highway 101, the voice obviously wanted me drive on every portion of El Camino Real that still exists and said at every exit possible, "Exit here." In Santa Maria it just said, "Turn left," "Turn right," with no warning of distance or saying which lane to be in. It was a huge disappointment and I wished I'd taken my old TomTom for all the addresses because that device gives warning far in advance. I'm not recommending maps.me unless I add a number of disclaimers.
