We chose Marc as the main contractor for an extensive renovation project on our 1930s house. This involved a major remodelling of the internal layout, replacement plumbing, drainage and electrics, new roof, new dormers, replacement of an old extension with a new one and new double garage. The project also included fitting of 5 bathrooms and full internal redecoration of the house. In just under 12 months, Marc's team have meticulously transformed our house into a very special home. We are delighted not only with the finished result which is of the highest quality in all regards, but we also found Marc and all of his team to be a pleasure to work with. They communicated well, worked pragmatically through the various challenges that arose, and worked in tandem with the architect and interior designer to deliver an exceptional result. Throughout the project, the costs were managed with transparency and detail that let us remain in control of the budget and make informed choices about where we deployed our spend. Marc has a really strong team of employees and subcontractors who all went the extra mile to deliver a level of quality not commonly seen. And all of them were nice, hardworking, trustworthy guys who we enjoyed working with. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marc Allan Builders and if we do another project we will 100% use them again.

We are delighted with the renovation and extension of our Victorian Semi-Detached Sandstone house. MAB delivered an extensive re-modelling of our house which has left us with an incredible family house. We were nervous about the level of steel work and structural changes that were required for an older property however MAB managed the technical delivery with excellence. Kevin and many others on site were professional and dedicated for the entirety of our project. Marc was always fair and easy to communicate with and maintained a calm head even when practical challenges were encountered. The quality and outcome for us has left us with much to appreciate and we are thankful for Marc and his team for delivering such a quality finish.

MAB provide a very professional service to a very high quality standard. We engaged MAB after our previous groundworker never returned. They finished off that scope and then built the whole 4 story 5 bedroom house ready for painting. Not many builders will do this. The difference was unimaginable and it was an easier project with MAB involved. They talked direct with the architect to resolve issues. The quality of the build and speed was better than expected. They also have returned many times to clear snags, something other builders fail to do. We have recommended MAB to our family and friends. Marc Allan Builders Ltd recently completed a loft conversion for us (including a dormer bedroom and shower room) and we are delighted with the results.

This was a tricky project with very limited space and access to work with, but Marc and the team carried out the work perfectly and sensitively, with little disruption.

Over the last year MAB have transformed our house. We are very happy with the results. It was a stressful time but all the tradesmen were very helpful. There were some communication issues as other companies were involved, kitchen fitters, renewables etc. MAB seem to have a good relationship with the architect which helped a lot. Thanks all for your work, we are delighted.

We appointed Marc Allan Builders to undertake the work on our project - removal of existing structures, plus the building of a new single storey extension with upper balcony area. Having now recently finished the project, we are absolutely delighted and now making full use of the new living space.
In particular, the joiners that spent most of the time with me, Kevin & Alfie, did an amazing job.

Our job involved a complete refurb of church toilets (St John's-Renfield Church in Kelvindale if you want to check them out). Marc managed the job effectively and constructively and his workers were all properly skilled and a good team. Despite inevitable glitches the work progressed well and within our rather limited summer time window. We have had nothing but compliments on the work and are happy to recommend this business.

One of the most impressive parts of this project was seeing the care and professionalism that the various craftspeople took in creating our new space. In particular the plumbers, James and Eddie and electricians Graham and Jamie were really creative in bringing new ideas to an old house. Scott, the decorator was very patient and professional and his work is of the highest standard.

It’s been really nice to see how proud Marc and his team are of what they have achieved in our home. needless to say, we are thrilled with the result.

We had used Marc for home improvements previously, so when we started to plan an extension to our house we asked MAB to quote.
Out of the four builders we asked to quote, MAB was quick to reply, gave a very detailed quote, and gave a clear timeframe for when they were available to do the work. All the quotes were similar price wise, but we had confidence with the information given that we would be best choosing MAB.
Communication with Marc and Jamie was good. Any queries were dealt with promptly. All of the guys who worked on the project were helpful and hardworking. When issues arose, as is inevitable with a project such as this, they were overcome satisfactorily. Any additional costs that occurred were communicated clearly, but to be honest the costs were accurately represented in the initial quote.
We love the new space that has been built and would recommend MAB to carry out similar projects.

Extension and Internal Reworking

MAB helped us replace our old extension and flip internal rooms creating a new bathroom.
We found Marc to be professional, warm and genuine from the get go. He project managed the whole build, coordinating with all the sub contractors that were needed. Everyone turned up when they said would (save a couple of days here and there over the 5 month period) and everyone who Marc hired was also very professional. Our neighbours had no complaints during the whole process, largely due to MAB being very respectful of the potential impact of the construction.
There were a few hitches during the process but MAB overcame these. Kevin, Alfie and Rory were the mainstays of our build and apart from doing a bang up job, we're almost like part of the family for that period! Lol
Based on our experience I can honestly recommend MAB for any building project.
