So, Leute, jetzt bin ich schockiert von meiner letzten Bestellung bei Mattel Deutschland!
Im Juni 2025 habe ich zwei Modellautos der Formel 1 vorbestellt, und vor drei Wochen wurde mein Geld abgebucht! Ich dachte, super, die Autos kommen, und letzte Woche kam eine E-Mail, in der stand, meine Bestellung sei bis Freitag bei mir. Ja, aber nein. Donnerstag früh kam noch eine E-Mail, in der stand, Ihre Lieferung kann nicht zugestellt werden, die Adresse stimmt nicht!
Danach habe ich sofort mit DHL telefoniert und die sagten, die Bestellung sei schon zurück und wir könnten nichts mehr machen! Danach habe ich sofort eine E-Mail an Mattel DE geschrieben und die sagten mir, leider könnten wir nichts mehr machen und wir könnten die Bestellung nicht noch einmal schicken, weil keine Ware mehr vorhanden sei!
Meiner Meinung nach sind die absolute Lügner!
Und ich bestelle nicht mehr auf der deutschen Seite.

No way to contact
So when placing a order I was asked for billing address and shipping address so I gave the 2 addresses thinking ok great this is perfect. Well far from being perfect because mattel creations is now shipping to my billing address and there is no way of contacting them not even with the customer form because one they dont have a phone number to call and the form when trying to select. Gives you a message stating there was a problem check the url. Now my package is going to be sent to a address that I nolonger reside at. Great so there goes $50 of my money

I purchased a track that has a booster and it will not work. Several reviews are the same. I have tried to get a credit and had opened a case, sent receipts, UPC code, emails and all I get is a reply asking for the same thing. Emails sent January 18 and again on January 26.
We attended the Hot Wheels Monster…
We attended the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow & Fire Show at The O2 with our children and left very disappointed.
The final freestyle round was poorly handled, with not all monster trucks performing despite announcements stating otherwise. Bone Shaker, my disabled son’s favourite truck, did not perform, which was incredibly upsetting for him and ended the show on a low note.
A clear technical issue with Megarex occurred during the final round, but no explanation was given, and the ending of the show felt rushed and abrupt.
The event was marketed as “Glow & Fire”, yet there were no fire elements or pyrotechnics, which was misleading and disappointing. The long jump round was also confusing, repetitive, and poorly explained, particularly for children.
Overall, for such a large, well-known global brand, the production value and organisation fell well below expectations.
I have attempted to contact the organisers and The O2 via email and social media but have received no response. I am posting this review in the hope of receiving acknowledgement, an explanation, and appropriate resolution.

Bought Wicked Emerald City playset for…
Bought Wicked Emerald City playset for my daughter from Amazon. It was missing the ticket counter, which is a small countertop piece attached to a larger part of the set.
I start the return process with Amazon when when I click "missing pieces" they make me go to Mattel for support.
I fill out online all they need, number off the box and I took photos of the piece showing the missing counter. I upload the pics but it only allows the counter photo to upload. I submit it.
Days later, I hear back. They need my reciept with my order number. Since it was on Amazon, I screen shot it but my order contained other items so I had to send several screenshots so they could see entire proof of purchase.
They write back saying it has to be one continuous screen shot. Not sure how to do with without photo editing software. I feel like they were accusing me of trying to scam them out of the stupid plastic piece for a child's toy. Why would anyone waste their time doing that?
I went back to Amazon. Started a real return for this one and bought a new toy set. Now instead of being out one plastic piece, they are losing an entire opened and used playset.
Penny wise and Dollar stupid. Just sent the piece and have a satisfied customer. Don't make it a huge ordeal. You messed up with your quality control, don't punish a little girl for it.

J'ai souhaité participer à une offre de remboursement Mattel, le 2ème jeu 100% remboursé.
J'ai suivi les modalités (qui étaient très détaillées et faites pour dégoûter les clients pour ne pas participer - par exemple se connecter sur le site à minuit et faire partie des 53 premiers "demandeurs").
Je me suis connecté à l'heure et enfin, j'ai pu accéder à l'offre pour compléter le formulaire de participation. Au moment de valider (dernière étape) une fenêtre s'ouvre indiquant qu'il y a un problème d'envoi du formulaire et qu'il faut recommencer... J'essaye à nouveau, en vain.
Je contacte la Sogec qui me dit d'envoyer les éléments pour preuve. En retour, j'ai "nous ne pouvons rien faire"... Je contacte donc le service client Mattel qui me demande de transférer le mail que j'ai envoyé à la Sogec pour le transmettre à la Direction. On me demande d'attendre... Et 3 semaines après, après 3 relances, on me dit "désolé Monsieur, je vous comprends (lol) mais on ne peut rien faire"... J'ai suivi les modalités à 100%, on me dit que, si j'ai eu accès au formulaire, c'est que je faisais bien partie du quota... Et maintenant après m'avoir fait "poireauté", on me dit "désolé"...
Alors, vu la note attribuée sur le site, la prochaine fois, lorsque vous souhaitez acheter un jeu ou un jouet, même si de votre côté vous n'avez rien à demander à Mattel, réfléchissez et pensez aux consommateurs qui (vu le nombre sur les réseaux sociaux) se sont faits flouer par la marque multinationale (qui donc n'en a rien à faire royalement d'avoir des clients en France) et si vous le pouvez, boycottez la... Aucune reconnaissance envers les clients. Mériterait 0 étoile ! DDCCRF contactée comme précaunisé lors des autres avis...

Had subscription, for the last month i could not place any orders for HotWheels, tried endlessly to contact them, they replied, they just said sorry after repeating myself a million times what s the problem, my subscription ended and no one replies anymore. Pre orders sent to wrong address , even though they specify they will give you the option to revalidate the address.

Par ailleurs, la grande récré ne devrait pas mettre ces offres en avant vu le nombre de problèmes remontés par la suite.
Bad customer service
I ordered a Monster high doll and it arrived with the eyes painted horrendously. They told me theres nothing they could do, as they do not offer replacements, and to just return the product.
Wait till it is in the clearance bin
Mattel makes a good product but all their other business practices are awful.
Most recently (and the straw that broke the camels back), was 25% discounts being offered on items that I had delivered less than two weeks ago on pre-order.
There is no incentive to back product and show support, just wait till it is on deep clearance and pick it up in weeks, not even months. To be honest I am not sure I even care enough to do that anymore.
