Crinkle chips have gone down hill so much we have decided to stop buying them after 25 years. They have just jumped on the bandwagon of shrinkflation, by adding loads of slithers to make up bag weight and then wrap it up telling us they are trying to save the planet! that would break your teeth if you had them in the same tray as the normal size chips when cooked.
We end up throwing 25% of the bag away.
McCain, customer are easily lost and very hard to gain especilly when you have tried to cheat them.

Fries to go are disgusting! They have no taste and are gooey. Not crispy as stated on the pack. How Mccains can get away with calling these things fries amazes me
Don't waste your money. These "things" are definitely NOT food or fries of any kind

The french fries have changed in taste really horrid and more like the old wimpy bar chips

Used to be my go to chips but now my number 1 to avoid horrible taste quality dropped massively and price increased massively will never buy again 🤢🤢🤢 avoid or be disappointed 🤢🤢🤢

Mcains Lasagne is terrible product , i have tryed it twice and both times very disappointed..theres just no meat in it, they say 8 percent beef well i think more like 3 percent and thats just a sause. If you want a decent lasagne go for either coles or woolies brands, much better and meatier.

Every single time I buy any of your potato products they are all full of slugs and slug holes. The quality of your products since BS19 is horrendous. Up went all the prices and DOWN went the quality. Nothing but greed and taking the pee. I tried Aunt bessie's duck fat roast potatoes and they were all absolutley mint. I will be sticking with them now as this last bag of tripple cooked roasts had three roasts that were edible. The rest of the bag is full of slugs and slug holes.

My child found a WORM in her jacket potato!! I e.ailed mccains, promises by them were made and NOT seen through. Disgusting.

Awful chips, Completely inedible, They used to be great but they have changed something and now they don’t cook in the time suggested, They are all cooked unevenly. I wouldn’t buy these chips again if my life depended on it

Bought McCain Ash Browns and what a total waste of money!
Absolutely tasteless and bland after being cooked in air fryer for 20 mins.
I will stick to Tesco's own brand much more tasty and a lot cheaper!

Les frites ont mauvais goût, je ne sais pas ce qu'ils mettent dessus mais ça n'a pas le goût de pomme de terre! J'ai acheté chez Picard des frites au four elles sont bien meilleures avec un vrai goût de patate ! Cela dit je n'achèterai plus de frites au four de Mccain.

I remember the day that I stood on top of the roof of the new extension of the head office building and considered jumping off.

I was suffering major depression following a number of life changing experiences including cancer during the Covid pandemic and then the impact of my wife stabbing me in my back and the thought of jumping off not only offended me the thought of freedom from my pain and suffering but also a message to what people had done to me.

Writing this today, says so far I have managed to fight this thought.

I always buy mccain chips for years but they are always a lot of bad chips recently I have to throw away, and a lot of tiny ones that burn and what we pay for them surely we should get better quality chips and not the same as cheap bags at a £1:50 bag

I think its shameful that the Company with the moto we are Family has staff working boxing day night as they say boxing day ends at 7 pm and not midnight. So no family day as in bed all afternoon ready for a 7pm start. Bet the CEO AND directors will be enjoying the full boxing day experience. All comes diwn to greed and accounting data

I've been buying the mccain naked chips for a while. But over the last few months or so. I've been having the issue where they don't cook evenly. I'm using the same oven or air fryer. My missus and another person is having the same issue. These chips were brought from different retailers. Somethings is definitely up. Even more so now reading all these reviews.

I am utterly dismayed by the deplorable quality of the potato sticks in your product. When we shell out a premium for a supposedly top-notch brand, the least we anticipate is a basic level of quality control in selecting the potatoes used for processing. How can you possibly justify selling such a wretched, substandard batch of potatoes for frying and consumption in our own homes?

I implore the company to thoroughly investigate this grievous matter and take immediate, substantive measures to enhance the overall quality of your product. I have included images for your reference, which serve as undeniable evidence of the inferior quality we've been subjected to. It's high time you addressed this issue to protect the interests of your customers and preserve your reputation.

McCain chemical chip!
Omg the worse chips I’ve ever tasted. I don’t know what nasty chemicals they’re using on the potatoes, but you can taste something really nasty in the potato. Not even 1 star! When will these companies be held accountable?!

Bought frozen chip's they taste like dirt not too happy

Bought the onion chips yesterday this was burnt brown chunks in the bag
Tried to contact customer service everytime I would file a complaint it would come back something went wrong

I called into Iceland to get mccains crinklecut chips they were sold out so I purchased two bags of Iceland own and noticed there was no bad black chips amongst them I have thrown out a lot of black chips in mc cains chips I hope this review will help the factory that makes the chips take action to better the brand thankyou.
