Je ne reviens pas sur la qualité du micro de référence: Tous les studios du monde entier vous en parlerons mieux que moi..Par contre, s'offrir un tel bijou pour une fraction du prix, en 1/2 journée de travail consciencieux avec un 'bon' fer à souder, une bonne pince et des doigts de fées.. Je précise que je suis un 'électronicien du dimanche', pas un PRO...La doc est on ne peut plus claire, erreur impossible! Les composants sont de très bonne qualité. la partie mécanique est de très bonne facture. L'araignée fournie à l'air costaud et devrait résister aux montages/démontage. L'anti pop est intéressant et a l'avantage de ne pas être envahissant. A tester. Quant à la capsule..elle parle d'elle même...j'ai eu la chance de comparer mon M87 à un 'original'...C'est pour moi identique à l'original...Testé sur voix, guitare et piano...on comprend pourquoi tous les studios l'utilise...Conclusion je m'en monte un 2iem pour l'enregistrement de grands pianos. Un bon fer à souder (petite pane) coute 60€, une bonne pince 10€, du doigté et du soin..et Hop! un micro extraordinaire dans la main...je n'en suis toujours pas revenu!!!

Was fun to build and sounds phenomenal. Will purchase more once US tariff policies change (was $225 to import to USA).

I bought their AKG kit and it's great, I recommend it! The Manual guide are clear and final result exceeds all my expectations and is perfect. The result is better than today's original.

I've build a C12, U47 and U67.

Just finished building my M49 DIY kit. I A/B'd it to my Neumann M149. The level is lower but the sound ( so far ) is great. Very quiet. It was not "Super" easy tp put together but with a pretty good working knowledge of soldering etc. It took about 3 1/2 hours. I have a friend who owns a Neumann M49 that I plan on comparing.

the first microphone - fet47 missing resistor had to order from digikey to get working. The matched pair c12 were suppose to come before Christmas, no show then dpd sent back. Finally a set arrived day late, unfortunately the c12 had the threads missing on pcb mounts, luckily I had a tap to suit. Might bare worse for someone that doesn't have the fix and fittings to get wirking. I'm sure it was just one of them.
Finally got all mics working in a pro studio, they sound great

I bought the U47 kit at the end of the year.
It took a few hours to assemble the kit.
The mic sound was incredible good and tight just as I want it! I did get hold of a Telefunken EF806S and the sound was even better.
If you have never soldered before, don’t start with this! Get a friend to help you!

U47 (built in 2 hours) is simply the best microphone out there for the money. I have A/B-ed many microphones with my personal favourite before starting recording sessions with various vocalists. The U47 was the first & only mic that beat my fav. Highly recommend. SAV was very quick and supportive for the 414 I'm building. Great company.

mic&mod U47 FET is an excellent microphone,It sounds really Good!!! I have never assembled a microphone before and I have got a bit scared when I got it , because it didn't seem easy to assemble but in the end I was able to make it and for being my first microphone and have just basic skills it wasn't that difficult.
I want to say also that the contact service has been excelent , I think this company is doing a great job

I Bought one U47 and one C12 clone. Both of them are excellent microphones ! Assembling is fast and easy. Fast shipping and good communication.

tout parfait, le microphone ces´t trés decent!!

Inzwischen habe ich zwei weitere Mics von Mic&Mod als Bausatz erworben und gebaut. Bestellung und Versand wie immer zuverlässig und zuvorkommend. Sehr guter Service, sehr guter Support, sehr guter Kontakt zum Entwickler der Geräte, alle immer sehr freundlich und geduldig. Die Technik und die Produkte sind sehr professionell und ihr Geld mehr als wert! Absolut vorbildlich und uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen!

Today I got the U67 DIY kit, took me 3 hours to assemble it with the help of a very well writen guide Mic&Mod provides. Equiped it with a 50's philips tube I had lying around, and got me an Incredible sounding mic that I feel I am gonna use constantly now :)
I am super surprised, didnt know what to expect on this budget, but its really in the ballpark with other U67s I heard before, and really gives me the warm and very detailed sound I was hoping to add now to my studio.

We ordered a pair of U47 microphones with M7 capsules to record our large vintage dance orchestra, Symphonia Phonotone, as we have been trying to re-create the original sound of these splendid orchestras of the past.
The U47s have surpassed my expectations. I have known the sound of the original Neumann U47 for decades, and now for the first time I have been able to capture it. Mic & Mod's U47 is the only alternative to having an original U47. Thank you so much for providing this outstanding microphone!

J’ai acheté un clone du mythique microphone C12 par AKG/Telefunken sans vraiment savoir si j’allais « en avoir pour mon argent » !
Le montage m’a paru assez simple et rapide étant un soudeur à l’étain amateur averti.
L’envoi depuis la France a été super rapide et l’emballage parfait. Visuellement, un produit qualitatif et beau avec des composants de qualité sans chichi, pour faire plus beau il pourrait y avoir des résistances et des condensateurs plus jolis mais ça ne changerait rien au son soyons honnêtes.
Le son maintenant !!! Là c’est la claque totale au premier essai... aucune bosse, aucun hotspot négatif, aucun effet de sibilance, pas de basses boueuses, l’excellence absolue pourtant rentré la première fois dans une carte son d’entrée de gamme tant en voix qu’en guitare acoustique.
Un son reconnaissable à la première écoute sans trop comprendre ni pourquoi ni comment !
Une fois dans une carte haut de gamme, même constat, le son est neutre mais surtout il bénéficie d’une forme de compression et d’optimisation naturelle qui empêche l’aggressivité que l’on peut ressentir habituellement avec n’importe quel micro quand un son est plus fort ou désagréable.
C’est vraiment une construction au-dessus de mes espérances, je vais commander un clone de U47 dès que possible, c’est un pur bonheur.

I got the U67 kit yesterday at noon and I was so curious about how it's going to sound so I assembled it the same day.
It took me about 3 hours to get it done.

I wanna tell you that this mic is soooooo goooooooodddddddddd and I love iiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt
This is without any doubt my new go to mic on vocals
I have several mic's (AKG C414, SolidTube, Shure SM7B) and this beast just tucking them nicely to sleep in the closet.

MIC&MOD, You guys should manufacture these mics in mass production!!! they are sooo gooooodddddd!!!

If I wasn't short on cash now I would definitely get the U47 kit and the C12 kits as well to try.
