Mini warranty no one will help
The dealership I purchase my mini from advised they couldn’t help me with a warranty issue and had to deal direct with mini customer services. Contacted them and said to deal with dealership! Nobody wants to help, just pass the buck!!
33 minutes later....
Tried to pay my MyMini finance early. I rang the number on the statement letter to be told that I needed to go through to Head Office. I was held in a queue for 25 minutes and when the person started speaking they cut me off. Rang back and held for another 8 minutes before asking for a callback. Still waiting.... I only want to give them money. Pitiful service.

Have been waiting on a EGR valve recall for over 9 months due to your availability, car now broken down due to EGR, you won't give us a curtesy car, we have no means of transport, you promised to ring me back several times and it doesn't happen.. Please can you sort this out and get us a curtesy car

Mini did in the end after some persuasion did replace the value, during the recall, despite telling me it was a good will gesture. So I have updated the review slightly

BMW Mini UK & Sytner really just don't care, once they have banked your money.
Seriously over rated vehicle & extremely expensive to run.
PLEASE don't make the same mistake as my wife & I.
Looking at the large number of adverse reviews on here it seems that we are not alone in our views. It really is shocking, from a supposedly reputable brand.

My mini was recalled due to egr issue
My mini was recalled due to egr issue. I was unable to drive the vehicle and still to this day have not got it back after 2 weeks. Mini assist recovered the vehicle, it was booked in at another garage for the 17th for the recall but on the phone was told as undriveable this would be sorted asap. Was asked if they could recover the vehicle on Tuesday the 7th of nov, called at 5 and waited till 11pm to receive a call saying they was unable to recover that evening, they asked if I was available the next day, in which we sorted 10-1 and Ild receive a call in the morning. No call received toll gone dinner, then vehicle recovered at 12.50. No idea where the vehicle was being taken. Call received later in the day advising I need to pay £120 - advised this would not be happening as I would sort vehicle issue at my preferred garage, they got on with recall and sorted my issue but very unhappy at lack of contact and also 2 complaints have been opened and not once have Mini called me. I understand a lot of the issues I have is down to the garage but their utter lack of disregard for me as a customer has put me off ever having a mini again. Sort it out mini - I feel the Cars are expensive and yet I’ve been treated better with a lower spec car! I received no contact from the garage for over a week and it’s took me continuously chasing this up and not once has Mini checked up on me including having 2 complaints open - not happy and would honestly advise anyone not to purchase mini roadside assistance - luckily for me I had aa and they have been a lot helpful

Soper Lincoln Mini: What an incredible car dealership. I have never received such good customer service. From the first phone call I made to the handover of my new car, customer service was exemplary. Phil and David were knowledgeable, professional and lovely to deal with.
Having had a horrible experience with Sytner, going to Soper made me realise that buying a new car should be exciting and enjoyable. Soper certainly made this the case. I won’t buy from anyone else in the future!
Just ignored
Following delays on the delivery of my new Mini I contacted Mini Customer Service requesting some information. After this request was ignored I submitted a complaint. After a few days I was asked for additional information which appeared unnecessary but I nevertheless provided it. Since then I have received no further contact. This is an appalling situation for such a high profile company.

Peter if that’s his real name took 250.00 as deposit in a mini. He said if I didn’t like it my deposit would be returned.
On the advertisement I couldn’t see the number plate but after seeing the car I checked it out and found out it had been clocked. Peter refused to give me my deposit back. STAY AWAY HE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY
No customer support
I am on my second mini and have loved the car and brand until now. I received a notice of recall that would happen next year and a few weeks after that my car began have problems as mentioned on the recall. The recall letter stated that if the car experiences any of the mentioned symptoms contact mini immediately which I did only to be told that dealers would only have space in about two to three weeks to check the car and they cannot provide a courtesy car. So now I’m left with no car and cannot drive my car as it is loosing coolant every trip and is now too dangerous especially as I drive on the motorway. To top it off the letter mentions this fault could even cause the car to catch fire. I feel so let down by mini and unsupported how am I meant to commute to work and back and this is all due to a recall? Customer support are no support at all and pass it to the dealers who just say they have no availability so mini are happy to leave me without a car due to recall thanks I will rather be switching brands and you will loose a loyal customer
NO LOYALTY FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS
After being a loyal customer for over 5 years you realise that Mini UK is a complete rip off absolutely no loyalty from Mini to their customers and they are happy to ignore and not respond to an issue after raising 3 complaints that they have chosen to ignore and not respond to.
Stay away from Mini and purchase from another brand that understands and appreciates loyalty.
Truly shocking service
Truly shocking service. I recieved 12 months free car insurance when I bought my mini. I'm about to collect my brand new mini and my sales representative sent me the link to sign up ahead of collecting it. What a total fiasco:-
1) The link did not recognise my car registration so that I had to enter it manually
2) Because Mini UK rely 100% on using the Royal Mail Database to populate addresses to complete identity checks I was unable to proceed. There was no option to enter it manually. (We have built a new house on the site of an old one, hence the Royal
Mail have removed the house number). Irrespective of this, I'm still receiving post at the old address. My drivers licence, bank details, and utility bills are all currently registered at the existing address, and I'm receiving post here too.
So I tried ringing Mini Car Insurance's wretched telephone number 0330 058 4099, which runs on a loop encouraging you to use their useless Chat Bots. I gave up using the Chat Bots after 15 minutes of senseless interaction. I rang 0330 058 4099 and had to select Option 2 in order to actually speak to someone. Unfortunately, the agent was unhelpful, confirming there was nothing they could do, because Mini Car Insurance are 100% dependent on the Royal Mail Database to run checks. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I said I wanted to make a complaint. All in all, I spent yesterday afternoon spending an hour of my time trying to rectify the situation.
This morning I spent 45 minutes speaking to 2 different agents. Anna who was helpful, then Hayley. Both demonstrated a linear approach ("computer says no"), instead of customer-centric solution focussed one. I asked them how would they feel if they were about to pick up their brand new mini but couldn't do so because of this ridiculous dependence on the Royal Mail Database.
Apparently this is due to fraud? And yet, after this call with Mini Car Insurance, I was able to set up a Health Insurance Policy, with no problem whatsoever using my current address.
I beggars belief! Mini Car Insurance, you should be ashamed of yourselves and not allowed to trade. You offer car insurance and yet you can't provide it because of your inadequate risk checking systems.

Lady driver, professional manager, aged 60, 15 years NCD, never had an accident …..been driving since age 19, can’t possibly be lower risk.
My husband had a similar issue last year with same insurer, when purchasing a BMW X5 45e.
Don’t bother wasting your time.
Terrible insurer will ultimately damage the Mini Brand .

Avoid Finance Options
If I could rate Mini Finance and dealerships zero stars, I would.
I love Minis and have had 4 in total, 3 of which since 2015. My first Mini I had back in 2006 and promised myself when I gave it back never ever to use their PCP/finance as that experience cost me thousands as the car was in negative equity.
Fast toward to 2023 and once again I find my car in negative enquiry even though in Sept 2020 my local Mini dealer (Coventry) told me my car was in huge equity due to the used car prices increasing, due to Covid etc.
Stupidly I believed them and took on my latest PCP. However, I went through my paperwork with a fine tooth comb as they have shafted me once before, I wasn’t going to be had for a second time. There were questions, which I raised before I signed anything which appeared to be answered.
Beggers belief I have. It all started when I created a mini login online approx 2-3 weeks ago and it showed a deposit paid of over £11,000 paid which I instantly thought strange as I would never ever pay this much as a deposit on a PCP. No chance!
My paperwork, with my signature stated something different and my receipt showed a third figure. I know what I paid as I had my direct debit slip to prove what I had paid.
I called Mini Finance to query this and the customer service advisor told me I had paid over the £11,000 as this was the equity I had for my previous mini in Sept 2020….. I asked why my signed paperwork said a second figure and my receipt showed a third. He couldn’t answer.
I asked for a breakdown over the phone to which all the figures did not match to what my signed paperwork showed and was in fact more money.
All they advised was to raise a complaint. I have and await their response.
I’ve paid my early voluntary termination fee as I want out of the agreement and will never ever use their finance again. Absolute jokers who can’t explain what I paid, what I brought the car for and the equity I had.
Mini as in the cars are great but AVOID their finance, shop around or get a loan but don’t use theirs.
Brand new car
Brand new car. Problem with tyres within 5months. Called for assistance. First person(a man) mockingly laughed at my issues and ignorance about tyre pressures/ checking. Call got cut midway.
Called again. One Christine picked up. Registered assistance requirement. More than half an hour now. Still have not received text about when they might arrive!
My son came in to try help out. Tyre valve damaged. As I was not sure about when they would arrive, went home with son, leaving car where it was. Got a call as I was reaching home. They could not locate my car despite me having given them the postcode of the fuel station I was at. Then got a call as soon as I reached home. Mechanic was already at the car. My husband took me back there only to be told that the problem could not be fixed immediately as he had not got the replacement valves. The car had to be recovered and I got to work this morning by a taxi arranged by Mini assistance. I have been promised a car to get home this eve but will need to pay for the fuel I use, I believe!
17/05/2023; 18:45hrs! Not getting the courtesy car to get home as it is so late! Unable to get to Road side assistance to get a taxi back home. What a waste of so many calls all this afternoon to get one of these sorted for this eve!
My husband is needing to collect me now! Hopefully the fuel cost for this will be reimbursed, atleast
Zero customer service
Mini dealer great until I actually received the car then totally disinterested since then. Offered no help with app (which doesn’t work). Told to contact Mini UK but have sent 3 messages and received no response. £35k car I expected much more from them
Be Aware!
Be Aware! Terrible/non existent customer service from Sytner Mini and Mini UK; failure to deal with warranty issue on high powered battery in Countryman All 4 S.
No response to complaint 8 months on from Sytner and no official complaints procedure.
NB: It is also the same case with Mini UK, who say that they leave their franchises to sort out any issues, including warranty claims and complaints!
This of course means that you have purchased a 'Sytner vehicle' not a Mini, and in the case of any issues, will be left to deal with a bunch of glorified 2nd hand car salesmen, rather than the professional organisation you perhaps were expecting.
There are quite a few reviews below raising similar issues. I have bought 2 new Minis. Never again though.

I would give mini assist 0 stars if I could. I suffered a puncture and could called them to help. I waited over 30 minutes for the call to be answered and then they said they might not be able to take me home. It was late at night and freezing temperatures. I ended up calling an independent recovery agent that was great and got home safely.
I found missed calls on my phone in the morning (someone called over 5 hours after I had originally called for help). How is that acceptable? I won’t be calling them again.
