Awful service and communication
I placed my initial order on the 11th February 2026. I had to contact via social media and the website to find out where my additional order was, to be called and informed the boots were not even in stock. A complaint I can see has been raised before on these reviews.
On the 26th February, I agreed to have a different pair sent to me instead as I needed them within a certain timeframe. When they arrived, they unfortunately did not fit so I sought out an exchange. This process has been ridiculous. I returned the boots within a week of generating a label at the beginning of March. I added my request for a size 12 to the initial form, I also included a note in the package, and I was still emailed on the 24th March to ask what size I would like. I replied on the same day.
On the 27th March I received a call from the warehouse to say my original order was now actually in stock, in a size 12 and would I like those ones, to which I obviously said yes. However, by the 22nd April, nothing had been received and I emailed to state this.
The following day I was assured that another pair would be sent straight away. This was 2 weeks ago on the 23rd April.
It is over 3 months since my original order and I don’t have it. I've sent a complaint over 48 hours ago and still not had a reply from them. I'm £70 out of pocket with no resolution. Don't order from here - read all the poor reviews over the last few months that tell similar stories.
Order late, missing items, never got everything or refunded
Ordered equipment for my sons Christmas and birthday. Some items didn’t make it for Christmas. That was accepted due to the issues with postal deliveries and some items were out of stock after I had purchased. I then changed the order since the items were out of stock. I ordered a different t shirt and also changed the other items I to a kit bag. They told me that the one I wanted (black) wouldn’t make it in time for his birthday so I changed to the black and grey suggested by them to arrive before his birthday. The bag didn’t arrive until a week after his birthday. The T shirt wasn’t delivered. They also said this other one now also out of stock and they would design me any t shirt. I sent them a design and they said they would make somethings close to that. It is now 5 months later and I am being ignored. I spent a lot of money buying quite a lot of equipment. Whenever I mailed they take days, sometimes weeks and sometimes no reply. I would never buy from them again and I would advise you to use another supplier as they have stole my money, gave me different items from what I ordered, let my son down at Christmas and birthday and their customer service is horrendous.

Excellent experience
Excellent experience. Very good service from start to finish. The team clearly knows martial arts equipment and gave helpful advice when choosing the right gi.
They have a very wide range of products for martial arts, with plenty to choose from, and the quality of the items is excellent. You can tell they carefully select what they sell.
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely helpful.
Highly recommended. Five stars.

Parcel didn’t arrive
Parcel didn’t arrive. Ordered on the 22nd Feb, said it would be 2-3 days delivery waited a week and no tracking information. Tried calling the company and Filled out the contact form someone then called me on the 2nd to say they had located the order and will get it send out that evening on tracked 24. Still no tracking number until it was finally sent on the 5th March. Parcel has still not arrived and now received a letter from Royal Mail to say the parcel cannot be delivered as the sender did not pay enough postage. Over 2 weeks of chasing for a parcel. Spent over £400 with this company to not receive my parcel. Very poor service!

I sent multiple emails and even contacted them through their own website because I hadn’t received any order confirmation or tracking information. I only realized after four days that I never received an order confirmation in the first place.
After that, I opened a PayPal claim, and suddenly they were very quick to ship my order. The “5 working days shipping” they advertise is simply not accurate. It ended up taking about a month before I finally received my gloves and shin guards.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL AND SHOCKING SERVICE. I had a very disappointing experience with this company.
When I originally placed my order, website claiming 2/3 day delivery . The items were not shipped out, and I received no shipping confirmation until I had to email multiple times chasing an update. I was then told I would receive the items by the end of the week, which did not happen.
When the parcel finally arrived, only three items were inside despite me ordering five. Two items were missing. I recorded the unboxing, so there is clear evidence of what was received.
The lack of proactive communication throughout this process has been extremely frustrating. I had to chase updates repeatedly, and the overall handling of the order has been very poor — especially given that the items were time-sensitive.
Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience, and I would not feel confident ordering from this company again.

Payment taken, order not sent, no communication
I ordered my item last Monday, selecting standard delivery (2 - 3 buisness days), with the expectation that my order would more than likely be delivered in time for an event today (a week later). I received an email invoice the following day which said "Your order is currently being processed in our warehouse. Once it has been collected by the courier, you will receive a follow-up email with tracking details."
As I hadn't heard anything by the Thursday, I used the contact us page on the website to ask for an update on my order. It's now the following Monday, and I have not heard anything. No follow-up email with tracking details, no response to my enquiry. Essentially, my money has been taken, I don't have my order, and there has been no communication.
There are widespread delays with Royal Mail so unexpected delays I can understand. However, the complete lack of communication I find disappointing.
I can now see from other Trust Pilot 1 star reviews that this is a common issue with this company. No option to leave a review directly on the website though, very sneaky. I will be pursuing a refund, and letting the bank handle it if they do what they have done to others and withhold the refund.

I can see there are a lot of negative reviews here but I always judge a retailer according to how they deal with a problem, and these guys were very good in that respect.
Do not order from Minotaur
Something funny is going on there. I placed an order on 28 Jan for boxing essentials for my daughter, nothing happened, made some calls and sent some emails, on Feb 11 they promised me a refund of items I had had to buy
elsewhere due to the delay, but said they were sending the rest of my order immediately. It is now Feb 15 and the item still has not been dispatched and nor have I received the refund for the cancelled item.
They said they were understaffed. This sounds more like they have no intention of fulfilling my order or returning my money to me.

I’d give zero stars if I could
Ordered a pair of gloves on 27th Jan and paid for next day delivery. When nothing turned up I checked the order from the email they sent and nothing had updated. Nothing had been shipped. I called them and was told it's not in stock and they will send in a few days and throw in some wraps as a gesture. They sent a Royal Mail tracking link soon after I called but nothing updated on the tracking. I called again when it didn't arrive and was told they don't know what's going on and have been having issues with Royal Mail. The guy on the phone (always the same guy) said he will look into it and contact me to update me. I've been polite and understanding. Few more days and nothing, no update when the item is arriving. I sent a couple of emails requesting a refund and finally I got a response from someone called "Jevi" - he asked if I still wanted it because it will be with me on Friday 6th Feb. I said NO because by then I'd ordered elsewhere and for them to refund me immediately and to not send the item. No refund made and the gloves turned up today. Now I'm down another £110 since they haven't refunded me and I have gloves I don't need. Unless they arrange collection I will not be sending them back and will raise a chargeback through my credit card issuer. Avoid this company. This will fob you off at every opportunity.
