Ordered and uploaded files on Dec. 15. Uploaded the rough mix on the next day and no message nor notification till I ask. Then never heard of him for 10 days and then finally sent a terrible mix. The message with the download link did say it was already mastered. I thought there's no hope of getting good mix from him so said "thanks for your work". Then he said it was actually unmastered and would redo shortly. That's all. It means he has not completed the task I already paid. There should be tons of engineers online much better than this studio. I ordered the same song to several online mixing services and this studio is absolutely the worst in both quality and communication.

Excellent Mix Master and Cust. Service

Mix Studios did a great job. I sent a recent song out to 5 different mix / master shops in order to compare the results. Mix Studios won me over with their personal attention and customer service.

Some places seem to apply some blanket effects and call it good. But Mix Studios listened to the song and mixed according to the emotion and message it was trying to portray. And that's a really big deal. They're not just milling through clients with generic effects presets - they're REALLY TRYING to make your music sound good.

My track was a symphonic piece with wide dynamic range and plenty of instruments that required balancing. A lot of these instruments were also recorded with different ambience/microphone setting, which didn't make the mixing job any easier. On every significant dynamic change, the final mix had volume automated and stems EQ-ed, not to mention everything else. I'm happy with the resullt, and my future tracks are very likely to end up in the same hands.

Tommy was very quick with getting back to me and was receptive to my input. We went back and forth with small changes until I was happy with my mix. Thank you Tommy!

I had a song mixed and mastered. I was not impressed with the sound. It sounded like they just applied an effect on the whole song. And when we told them we didn’t like the direction, they changed it, but again just sounded like they slapped a different effect on it. I’m no expert on this but it seemed kind of automated and not very skilled, even though they described what they did in an interesting way. In the end, our artist liked the original mix we sent them better, and we got our first time buyer refund. I will say that they were very helpful and responsive to my many emails and questions.

There's no way - without writing a War and Peace-length novel - I can tell you how wonderful Tommy and Mix Studios are. But I'm gonna try.

First, as people - when I first reached out to Tommy (discussing a terrible experience I'd had with another online mixing company) he didn't - at ANY TIME - say "bring your business here." That never came up! He instead commiserated with me like a human being, and discussed how awful what I'd gone through was, and how it was unfair that my music was practically ruined and I was out a lot of money. He said something like "it sucks, and we've all been there man." It was a truly human moment, and it really stuck with me. No sales pitch - just connecting. Then, during the discussions that followed, as he knew I was out a large amount of money he worked WITH me to help me somehow salvage my budget. That meant everything.

So these things and more (like Tommy's sense of humor and truly good spirit) are the human part of my Mix Studios/Tommy story - but now I'd like to talk about Tommy's skill level and work quality. In a word: amazing. I recorded all of my tracks in my home studio, with little or no separation/isolation, etc. It was the best I could do, but they sure didn't sound like much. My ask of Tommy was to help each song reach its sonic potential - I'm a realist, so I knew that was the best I could hope for. Tommy took EVERYTHING far beyond my expectations. I'm a grown man, and when I heard the first rough mixes I - literally - had tears in my eyes. They were so damn perfect and beautiful. I can say the same for each of my tracks - 13 in all. Composing music is highly personal, but Tommy somehow managed to elevate the tracks - and to understand them so completely - it's almost as if HE was there when I was writing them.

Finally, Tommy finished my 13 tracks in record time. I never asked him, not once, "is this one on the way?" He was organized, efficient and got everything to me so quickly I hardly knew what to do. His system to post comments and work in real time with me to adjust tiny things was flawless. Trust me - it really, really works.

So, Tommy and Mix Studios - thank you and bless you for your work, your professionalism, your kindness and your humanity. Thank you for taking my music and treating it as if it was your own. I would, without hesitation, recommend you to my countless musician friends and ANYONE who has a dream to hear his or her recorded music reach its potential. I know that I'll NEVER take my music anywhere except to Tommy and Mix Studios.

I had a Heavy Metal song mixed & mastered by them and they did an excellent job. They made sure every detail was spot on & every revision i asked of them was quickly fixed to exactly what i wanted. Very friendly & personable staff. They have definitely earned my business going forward & i would highly recommend them to anyone.

I "bumped" into Tommy Peluso by accident online. I was looking for a studio or that could master my songs well and at very reasonable cost. Tommy and I had an amiable chat online and I decided to try him on the strength of the warmth with which he welcomed me. He lived up to my first impressions: warm, amiable, professional. He mastered the song to my fullest satisfaction in record time. In addition, he gave me a fairly detailed summary of what he had done to clean up and beef up the song. I definitely will be working with him again and again. I find his price to be relatively steep considering that there are tons and tons of cheaper studios out there.

I have been working with Mix Studios for 5 years, they're great. Their work is consistent and Tommy has no reservations when it comes to revisions. He's a mix magician.

I went in without any expectations, and somehow I was blown away by the work the guys did on my track. The experience was so easy and the guys were so patient and actually helpful in the process. Definitely coming back with more tracks soon.
