Contrary to most reviews on trustpilot, I have had no issues with Lebara. Sim arrived next day, popped it into an old phone and activated straight away by making a call. Got PAC number from old networ... ãã£ãšèŠã
Twice Iâve tried to get roaming working both in Italy and Portugal and twice theyâve failed to sort it out. I am now without any roaming whatsoever and the Lebara staff say that technical support isnâ... ãã£ãšèŠã

Fine if you want a cheap SIM. But don't be fooled by the offer of vouchers and cashback.
I signed up with the offer of a £40 Amazon voucher that would arrive after 6 months. It never did. I referred a friend with the offer of a £50 referral fee, once again there has been no payment. I've contacted them a couple of times but have been ignored on both occasions.
Like I say, phone signal is fine, tariff is cheap. But all of the fake offers leave a sour taste and I'll leave as soon as I find an equally cheap SIM because of all of this.
UPDATE: I've now received the Amazon voucher and have been emailed confirming that I'll be receiving £20 of the £50 referral fee (advertised as up to £50). Despite the person going for the more expensive SIM. So feel a bit better about the whole experience, so I'll give an extra syar
Unauthorised Withdrawals from Bank by Lebara
I cancelled the one-month SIM within the time limit. Notwithstanding, they still took another month's debit from my account. So a week after unauthorised withdrawal, rang the Lebara Contact No., they assured me that my bank account would be credited (had formerly been given a PAC code and STAC code, in order to cancel). One month on, have still not received a refund. Spoke to the 'online chat' today, they lied and said that my account had been credited in January. It had not. They told me to raise the issue with my bank .... why? when they are at fault. After questions that they could not answer, they cancelled the call. Totally disgusted.
On another note, why do you need my email password?

Terrible service
Took out a sim only deal that offered cashback in the form of a voucher after 180 days. Ive chased it up over 7 times so far and its the same old excuse every time they are refusing to pay out the voucher

Slow To Comprehend
I broke my Lebara SIM card while I was trying to insert into my modem. When I ordered the SIM card I paid $20 for the broadband zand axtivated it. I rang to request to a request a new SIM. I spoke to a lady that was good at speaking English. I contacted them on Monday. They asked asked me questions that were irrelevant. As the days progressed it has become obvious that the SIM card has not been sent but I am still paying broken activated SIM. I have a requested a refund and they sent me an email if the case was resolved. They slow to respond to emails and seem slow to comprehend messages.

Please DO NOT PORT into LEBARA, they do not know how to do it properly.
Ported into Lebara on 6 Nov 2023 from Lyca. Since then, incoming calls from Lyca network does not reach me. Tested via folks to understand incoming calls from Vodafone, BT, EE, Lebara are working fine.
Raising complaints since then almost daily & get a confident response - Issue will be resolved in 24 hours time.
They took 3 weeks to accept it was a porting issue. Sent a replacement SIM, made me reset my phone & network umpteen number of times - hard luck - nothing resolved the issue.

Nothing much changed other than someone making a call with more re-assurance. Those re-assurance also stopped after Day 2. The customer care easily washing their hands - issue is with Lyca which Lebara team cannot resolve.

Complain re-raised (yeah they just close the previous complant without validating with me as resolved) on 05-Jan-2024 is CAS-1677460-L6N5L7.
On 10-Jan-2024 had to raise new complain CAS-1696478-D9G4H3 as previous one they wish to close without any resolution, but they think it is resolved.
Wastage of time for both sides. Incompetent people.

Transferring to Lebara
Contrary to most reviews on trustpilot, I have had no issues with Lebara. Sim arrived next day, popped it into an old phone and activated straight away by making a call. Got PAC number from old network, went to Lebara website, used help pages to guide me through porting. Just need Lebara temporary mobile number, PACcode and then choose a date for porting. Put new Sim in Phone and ported today with no issues. Advise to check mobile data settings on help file and edit those on phone to change from the Vodaphone network to Lebara.

Lebara Total Letdown
Hi, I recently went abroad to Spain(Costa brava) but while I was there I was unable to use any data on my iPhone 14 Pro. I contacted Lebara live chat on the Sunday 26th Nov 2023 & I was asked to change some settings on my phone & restart it. I did all this but was still unable to use data. I was asked to manually connect to Telefonica, but was unable to do this because it wasnât an available network. The agent then rang me & asked me a few questions, but I still could not receive data. In the end I was told the problem would be passed to their technical dept & should be fixed in 3 days, which it wasnât. I contacted Lebara live chat again on Thurs 30th Nov 2023 & had to go through a lot of what I had already done on the previous contact & still with no success. In the end I was told the problem would be escalated to a higher dept & would be fix in 24hrs or at worst 48hrs, which it wasnât.
When I returned to the uk, I contacted Lebara again through live chat to complain about the problem I had experienced. The agent apologised for this & offered me £5 compensation for the extreme inconvenience I had experienced. I declined this & asked for my complaint to be escalated to a more senior level. The agent said they will do this & I will receive a call later that day, which I didnât nor to my knowledge did I receive a call anytime after that.
Lebara seem to take great pride in saying how great a company they are & splashing WHICH logoâs all over their website, but unfortunately the experience I have received is nothing short of woeful. I was left without any data the whole time I was in Spain & still to this date, no explanation as to why they could not fix the problem. I now have no faith in Lebara being able to provide me with date while Iâm abroad, which is essential for me as I keep all my holiday docâs on my phone, so I will have to change provider before my next trip. I will say that while Iâm in the UK I have not had a problem with Lebara, so have never had to contact their customer service.
This has now been fixed by me simply suggesting swapping the SIM card.
Horrible company
Horrible company. Buy a new promo plan and want to switch your current number to it? Too sad they know they can make more money by forcing you to stay on your non-promo plan and preventing you from changing numbers within lebara just for profit. They use misleading tactics to get you to top up your balance thinking you can use the balance to pay for your current plan? Too sad, you're wrong the balance top-up is worth literally 50% of a normal plan renewal. Absolutely atrocious and horrible please just another carrier

Unprofessional and incompetent
They are the most unprofessional and incompetent company I have ever worked with. They have sent me an empty SIM card, although I have paid 7⬠for the offer (7 GB, unlimited calls, etc.) on their official website. Basically, I was unable to activate my SIM card so I conntacted them and they told me to go to the nearest shop to activate it. For activation I had to pay extra 5⬠and then the guy told me that the card is empty (no saldo) and that I should pay for a new bono. After 15min talk to one of their agents, they promised me the refund, but I had to send them via WhatsApp the bill for 5â¬. When I did that I had to explain everything again to a new agent that said that right now their system is updating and she is unable to assist me. I am still waiting for them to finally do something! Unbelievable!
Data ending quickly
For the first time I was extremely disappointed with my Lebara plan. I purchased a 90-day plan on the website and the credits for the first month ran out much earlier than normal. To my surprise, the credits for the following months were blocked. Which is not explained in the application I purchased. I didn't imagine that my data would run out so quickly and that lebara would block the data. It doesn't make sense for me to have to buy adds on if I still have data. I'll buy more when all my data is gone. I am extremely dissatisfied and feel deceived.
