Modomobi removed my initial review after they stole the money off my mobile account.
Luckily after heated arguments with Three, I got my money back.
Still I can't allow any spending charges on my account in case it happen again.
With NO permission on my part did Modomobi took the money. NOWHERE did I knowingly accepted any form of agreement with them.
Be careful of this scam artists.
They even wanted me to send my personal details to a company in Australia that will refund me. Do they think I am that dumb.
Be vigilant and safe on the web.

Where do I start got a message that I had been charged £4.50 a week for a service I never signed up for to my mobile phone account total con merchants scammers ect ect. Do not entertain this con company at all even when I rang the customer services number which was pretty much useless. I was told to claim a refund but the procedure was so complicated including having to go to the post office with a QR code they send you after it's been accepted for the refund. Total conning scammers. Avoid like coronavirus. Reported to ombudsman.

I went on to check why my O2 bill was more expensive thank normal, I noticed that 10 payments of £1.25 were coming off each night at 21.59. No idea who was taking these payments. Phoned O2 who have put a block on my phone but they cant refund me.
Also strange that Modo reply to some reviews and not others

This company is a scam. My elderly father was having £4.99 removed from his PayPal account each week until he noticed. He did not sign up and received no service from them. Disgusting and very distressing for him. He is not on 3 but on EE.

Very simply this is a scam company. They charged me £40 randomly on my mobile phone bill for services I had never heard of, texts I had never received and consent I had never given. I did the usual as below and threatened small claims, they didn’t respond within the reasonable timeframe so I did end up submitting the claim, that seemed to worry them a bit as they quickly refunded both the £40 and the cost of submitting the claim plus daily interest. Utter charlatans.

I was scammed by modomoby in partnership with 3 mobile. I was charged £40 on my 3 account, then 3 told me to contact the scammers, in fact they provided the contact details. I called them, and sent them an email requesting a refund. They sent an email back offering me partial refu d(£20) , which I refused. Then I sent them an email: letter before action and informed them that I will pursue the case in small claim court. They offered me full refund, and they told me that I will receive text message with code that post office can cash up. I did not believe, but I received the sms today, and post office gave me money. Be consistent and you get your money back. It is disgusting practise from 3 and modomobi, as I imagine, many people simply does not have the time or patience to deal with them. Also call 3 and disable 3rd party services on your account. Do not cancel direct debit as it will affect your credit history. Make sure you report to the ombudsman. Good luck, I know this will be deleted soon, but I will post this every day until something will change. Also save every bits of communication that you have with both the companies. Also check your junk mail As their emails usually end up there.

Scammed by ModoMobi thieves by sending me four text messages costing £40 but I managed to get my money back after threatening them that I’ll take them to small claims court.

I have reported them to ombudsman Please don’t give up and chase these fraudsters until you get your hard earned money back and also put a spending cap on your Three mobile account so you don’t fall victim to similar scam.

I have had to rewrite this review because modomobi don't like the descriptive words I used. So think to yourself why would a user give 1 star? Yes....... so bad it should be on crimewatch.

Actually should be no stars. In June I received 4 texts the first of which said 'Welcome to Your Fitness Guru from ModoMobi and thank you for your payment of £40
Help? 03300586508. Charges applied to his mobile bill.

I did not call the number as I though it might be one of those premium numbers. Now £40 worse off. And can't reclaim from credit card company because it goes on your phone bill. Going to try to talk to Three Mobile about it.

In total I received 3 texts of 10p each and then 4 texts for £10 each. This is a scam, Modomobi are thieves and stole this money from me.

I discovered a £40 (4 x £10) charge on my 3 phone bill to a short code number that I did not recognise. I reported this to 3 and they confirmed this was from your fitness guru/modo mobi. The 3 representative was next to useless pretty much saying it was my fault as I must have clicked on something which lead to the charges. I have never knowingly clicked on anything that would result in these charges and I'm certainly not going to pay £40 for fitnessguru!
I called fitness guru to request a refund and they sent me a text with a form to complete. A few days later I received an email with an offer of a £20 goodwill gesture refund. Next I used the advice from the payforitsucks website (Google modo mobi payforitssucks) and sent a reply email using the template provided by payforitsucks. This was invaluable advice as a few days later I received an email saying I would receive a full refund via post office payout. A week later I received a text message from the Post office with bar code - I showed this to the post office and I received £40 in cash.
So make sure you use the advice from payforitsucks and get a full refund if you have not subscribed to this service and have been charged anyway. I also reported to Phone paid services authority. As soon as I can I will be ending my contract with 3 - they are the only phone provider that allows this type of click through in phone paid services and were very unhelpful when trying to sort it out. They also tried to sell me more packages after I had reported the scam!

As with the many posts available, I have also fallen victim to this scam. Again, on 3 network, and no knowledge even of which app was the route of the situation.

Great advice available on the payforitsucks page, or via google search - I understand modomobi are now having some of these trustpilot reviews removed, so do a search.

Have requested refund directly, and have prepared for court claim in the expectation this will not be forthcoming.

Just been scammed for £40 by this company. Darren Randall has obviously set up a company which earns money by scamming customers on the Three Mobile Network.
Three insist you need to contact the company direct for a refund which I have now done. Other posts on here have said there have been issues getting refunds so not sure what response I will get.
