Iâm extremely disappointed with my experience with Molo. After progressing quite far through the mortgage application process, I was informed at the very last minute that my application had been declined due to a sudden change in lending appetite.
This decision came just days before my deadline, after I had already invested a significant amount of time, effort, and money into the process. At no point earlier was there any indication that the application was at risk of being rejected on these grounds.
While I understand that lenders can change their criteria, making such a decision so late in the process is highly unprofessional and has caused unnecessary stress and potential financial consequences.
I would strongly recommend that Molo improve their communication and underwriting transparency to avoid putting future applicants in similar situations.

This is an honest review of Molo Finance that covers response times, results, and overall experience. With all due respect to good people who feel morally responsible toward clients and aim to use reviews not just to gain trust but to deliver excellent work. Response is slow and very frustrating; it costs you a lot of nerves and money. If you choose Molo Finance, you will face difficulties with many conveyancing companies, as they refuse to work with this mortgage lender at all. I cancelled my transaction after experiencing neglect, stress, and losing money. The funds were never released to complete the transaction. Hopefully, they will improve in the future, but for now, I do not recommend anyone.

I have generally found MOLO to be aâŠ
I have generally found MOLO to be a good lender to work with, but my recent experience has been very disappointing.
Following their upgrade to a new system, my case failed on the platform despite the BDM confirming that everything was acceptable and that the application should proceed. Unfortunately, the system issue has created unnecessary delays.
What is most concerning is the lack of support. For the past two days I have tried contacting head office multiple times, but the calls simply go to voicemail and no one answers. For brokers trying to progress cases for clients, this level of accessibility is quite shocking.
I hope MOLO resolves these system issues and improves communication, as brokers rely on timely responses to keep transactions moving.

Shocking experience
Shocking experience, taken 16 months to complete on a purchase, not all due to Molo, but held it up so much I ended up paying thousands extra in stamp duty, which could of easily been avoided if they could respond to solicitors questions in a timely manner. Speaking of solicitors, Molo's solicitor was totally unresponsive for months, which added to the delays. Would not recommend!

Really happy with our experience getting a mortgage through Molo. It was a very smooth process and our Underwriter James was fantastic at communicating. I used the chat function to iron out a few queries here and there and everyone I liaised with was a credit to the organisation. Really good customer service all round.
