Appaling customer service, auto renewal with no notice and not budging.

My business closed in November and I cancelled my subscription then. Skip to today, 3 months later I've been billed for another year because the cancellation didn't go through on their end. It was 4 days after the money had been taken that I noticed it and I messaged straight away but they're refusing to give a refund. I have absolutely no need for this software and given it was an error on their side, I'm very disappointed.

From day one, MooSend has been great to work with. I'm new to marketing, and their team made everything feel straightforward and accessible. They patiently walked me through all of my questions ( many of which were detailed and nuanced) and never made anything feel overwhelming. The level of support and clarity they provide really sets them apart.

so i tried using moosend because i wanted a quick, one-time email campaign tool that was either free or super cheap. they advertised “start free” and $9 plans, so i thought, cool. even if i need to upgrade, $9 isn’t bad.

but the moment i started, i realized i couldn’t even import my subscribers through a csv. customer support was nice, but they told me i’d need to use an external site to clean my email list, which cost an extra $10. fine, i paid that to the external site, only for moosend to then say i’d exceeded my subscriber count even though the customer support person had told me there was no limit. so i had to upgrade for $24 on moosend (with no 30 day free trial as advertised btw, i was charged immediately)

so now i’ve spent $34 for something that was supposed to be quick and low-cost. i’ll give them credit, the actual email design process was smooth and simple, but i ended up wasting way more time and money than expected. honestly, i could’ve just kept paying mailchimp (which is what i was trying to avoid) and saved myself the headache.

I've used quite a few of the popular email servides over the last 20+ years, and I can say without hesitation, Moosend is the very best of the lot... by far.

First of all, I write a long form, image-heavy newsletter that's coded in another app, so it's super important to me to use a service that can cleanly parse my html. I do on occasion use the drag and drop Moosend tools, and it's very good as well.

I have found the support to be top-notch. I recently had a changed to a subdomain for email sending and ran into some issues with SPF, DKIM and Dmarc. Rashid from support was great, and worked with me to get things back on track. Definitely the best support experience I've had and miles better than any of the big name providers.

Sarra took the time to help me with my set up including in a visio which is unusual for a software company to do.
Everyone at Moosend has been great!

Signed up for a trial, logged in and then got tied up for the day. Later that night I login to my email and my trial is over. I reply requesting further explanation, and no response.

Very approachable, easy to contact. Use them for the last 3 years with no issues at all. Automation workflow is well built

Pure scam. avoid

Couldn't even get pricing. I made an enquiry and received an email from someone at Moosend quite promptly (and encouragingly) asking for some basic details so they could provide pricing. I replied with the requested detail within 30 mins and then... nothing. I followed up on 3 separate occasions over a week to chase up the pricing and never heard back. Not one reply. I guess they don't need new business.

Technical issues can be like rocket science when trying to get your website up-and-running, and increasingly so. I just needed to get back to business. Thankfully Rashid was there to help me figuring out this and that record, explaining things plainly and thoroughly. You won't find this type of service anywhere else.

This is to underline the great collaborative work and results oriented of Rashid, a member of their delivery team. He planned with us a very challenge delivery of more than 1 million email to be sent in a restricted window with no flexibility. he made himself available and tackle all the challenges masterfully. we could not have done it without it. we appreciate Moosend too. we change to their emailing platform a year ago and we would not go back. their delivery team and collaborative approach is a main reason.

amazing service and strong market penetration. I have tied all the service companies in the mass mail business to promote my yoga retreats. I have seen quick results and strong engagement with my current members and potential customers. The features are developing day by day , keeping my list in high interest.

Super friendly support, always delivers!

The thing with moosend is tricky. On the one hand the email sending etc. runs okay.

On the other hand it has massive and severe technical bugs: They delete your data without telling you.

I will give just one example:
You have created a custom field in my mailing list to store some important user information there. At some point I renamed the custom field only to find out that ALL values of this custom field got deleted.
And there is not notification. I only found out much later. All data gone.

And this is the second time that I found sth like this. I don't even dare to think about what other kinds of bugs they have.

I've been using it for three years, and I plan to continue using it indefinitely.

As a nonprofit, pricing and ease of use are crucial for us. We switched from Mailchimp because we were looking for a more affordable solution, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that Moosend doesn't lack in anything. In fact, we were able to migrate our lists and templates, and send our first campaign in one day! The platform is intuitive and we haven't faced any issues. And the support team has been around with recommendations to further improve our newsletters (thank you, Sarah!) Overall, we're very happy with our choice and highly recommend Moosend to any org looking for an affordable and reliable solution!
