Mooz has fixed every single problem I had previously encountered with virtual piano lessons using nearly every other platform.

1. There is only the minimal amount of delay (1 second or less) in the video, no matter how old the device my students are using...and some are really old!
2. The metronome feature functions incredibly well!
3. My favorite feature was the keyboard. I previously had a different keyboard plug in that functioned somewhat, but not nearly as well as the on on MOOZ. Showing my students in live-time the chords on the keyboard was amazing.

I highly recommend this platform for music teachers who have virtual lessons. As a teacher, I've never felt virtual was as ideal as in-person, but the MOOZ platform has made it as close to face-to-face lessons as it can be. They also have excellent customer service!

I used almost every available teleconferencing platform before MOOZ was introduced and MOOZ is absolutely the best platform for online teaching! Sound syncronization is superb, allowing me to play along with the student. Video is clear. The various additional features (metronome, keyboard, file share, chat) all contribute extra value to the quality of MOOZ.

I've been teaching drums for over 10 years and have been doing online lessons for a long time — I've tried every platform out there. Zoom, Google Meet, you name it. Mooz is the first app that's actually built for music lessons.
The connection quality is head and shoulders above anything else I've used. Nothing else even comes close. On regular video calls you lose all the dynamics and detail, especially on drums. With Mooz the sound comes through the way it should — my students can hear the difference between a ghost note and an accent, and that's critical.
But what really sets Mooz apart are the built-in tools. A metronome right inside the lesson, the ability to slow down and speed up the tempo — for drummers this is absolutely essential. No need to switch between apps, everything is right there during the lesson. These are exactly the things that turn a regular video call into a real music lesson.
If you teach music online and you're still using generic video call apps — try Mooz. This is what online music education should feel like.

I am a guitar teacher and have used a few different platforms to deliver online lessons since lockdown. After experiencing some issues I thought I'd give MOOZ a try after seeing their social media posts. I set up a trial lesson with a student and discovered some excellent and very useful features. The support from IIja in the chat box was also excellent and answered the questions I had before I went ahead and purchased a plan. I am looking forward to trying some of the other features in my upcoming lessons.

customer service is very unresponsive.
They will reply in the chat, but then suddenly stop chatting. It really sucks. Also if something goes wrong whilst saving the recording, the whole recording gets lost. It SUCKS.
EDIT: 30 april: Mooz reached out to me, which was nice, so this is why I changed my review to 3 stars. Still, they cannot change the problem, and the recording is forever lost :-( In the end what happened, happened. I got treated rudely by the customer ‘chat’ service, but -even if problem not solved, they reached out to me after my one star review. This is why I changed it to 3 stars, They
asked me to remove my review, but I told them I would edit, not remove. Because this is still my experience and will mot erase the fact that I was treated rudely amd it soes suck that because of a technical glitch recordings are not retrievable. . Also on a technical side of things: it is very very unfortunate recordings just get ‘lost’ and cannot be retrieved like for example on Zoom, which does the recording download automatically and this always works.

I’ve been an active user of this app for about two years. I’ve also been working in online music education for more than a decade, and I can honestly say: nothing like this has existed before, and it’s hard to imagine anything better appearing anytime soon.

For the first time, someone truly thought about the needs of musicians and created software that meets the high technical standards required for professional education of both vocalists and instrumentalists.

There are many technical features that significantly simplify the teaching process and make the online format feel remarkably close to in-person lessons. But I realized just how big the difference is when, due to technical reasons, I had to return for a few days to the apps I used before discovering Mooz. I was honestly shocked by the gap in sound and video quality, as well as by the stability of the connection—even with an average internet connection.

You get used to good things very quickly. I had almost forgotten how much my professional and user experience has improved thanks to Mooz.

What’s also remarkable is that this app truly turns a musician into a digital nomad. It removes the usual geographical limitations that many music teachers face and makes it possible to teach from anywhere, opening the entire world for travel and life in any place you choose.

My sincere thanks to the development team and to everyone who supports this project. I truly hope that as many musicians around the world as possible discover it.

I have recently moved over to Mooz after 15 + years of doing drum lessons online to students all over the world, All i can say is this is a gamechanger, the first week has been a joy for both myself and my students, the support and help in getting setup has been incredible and i would recommend this to anyone who teachers online.

I have really enjoyed switching over to MOOZ for video lessons (violin and voice). The embedded features to help with latency issues are really user friendly and help a lot. I have had some issues hearing the student over the recording however so I find the mp3 player a little hard to use. The metronome and built in piano however are excellent. It also is very easy to onboard students, the app is a quick install and students joining the meeting is no fuss. Good waiting room feature, and no limits for lesson length. Overall a great replacement for Zoom and way easier to get a good sound through.

As a music teacher who has taught online for several years, this is the best platform I’ve ever used! For both piano and voice, I love the MIDI connection functionality so my students can see the notes as I am playing them. Being able to upload tracks and play simultaneously is another great feature. My students have all given feedback that this is their preferred platform for lessons.

I've searched an app for vocal lessons quite a long time. Mooz turned to be the best choice, especially for me as a huge fan of face-to-face lessons. The best thing is sound quality, comparing to Zoom or other platforms. I just started to use Mooz, and hope to open more of its functional.

After doing a lot of online teaching during lockdown some students found it more convenient to stay with online lessons because of distance. I have tried most of the platforms for face to face online music lessons, and some were mediocre at best. MOOZ is a game changer.
There are much clearer interactions with my students, and dropouts are nearly non existent, even though some students are in poor reception areas.

I really like the fact that MOOZ is always improving their service and make it financially accessible. Thanks MOOZ!

My piano teacher and I have been looking for an app where we can play in sync together even though he is in New Orleans and I'm in New York.
We've tried different platforms and so far have not been able to overcome the latency factor. Looking forward to trying this on Mooz when my teacher switches to fiber optic cable.
Meanwhile, I'm finding that Mooz has a number of features that are better than Zoom. It doesn't cut you off automatically after 40 minutes. You can also share your screen and share files and folders easily.

I attended the launch webinar. The presenter, Anna, gave some good information about Mooz. I can tell the audio is excellent. I'm so glad someone finally made a platform for musicians. Zoom is terrible for musicians.

Mooz software has transformed my online lessons. The built-in metronome, virtual piano, and easy audio file storage keep sessions efficient and engaging. Most importantly, the audio feature lets me hear students clearly without extra setup. I’m excited to see what features come next!

I have been using MOOZ during 2 months though I installed the app since last year. When rehearsals of my global choir started I used MOOZ instead of ZOOM since all features promoted for music teaching can fit choir singers rehearsals needs. I am still learning to use all the features and moved to the desktop version. It impressed me that MOOZs’s customer care team kept contacting me since I installed the app only asking for feedback and offering help and online training. Now I am using using metronome, piano and the sync options - thought I still learning to use all the features the experience gets better and better! I look forward for new improvements!

A really experience giving lessons to my students

I've been teaching online since March, 2020, right from the beginning of the Covid lockdown. For online teaching, Mooz is a far superior platform to Zoom. Zoom works great for conferences and meetings, but isn't optimized for music production. I especially find the concurrent multiple camera views a most powerful feature. I always want to show both left and right hands together, and can't do it with Zoom.
