Outstanding service from start to finish! We had an excellent experience working with our mortgage broker Nicholas Penny from start to finish. He was professional, knowledgeable, and always available to answer our questions. The entire process was handled efficiently, and he made what could have been a stressful experience feel straightforward and manageable. I had a great experience with Mortgage line, in particular Ben Caffrey was super helpful throughout. He was chasing me for a change instead of the other way around, which was refreshing. Kept me in the loop at all times and got both re-mortgages over the line. Would recommend.

I recently applied for a mortgage through Mortgage Line and was extremely disappointed with their approach.
They refused my applications on the grounds that I would not provide bank statements older than 6 months. Despite me explaining that I didn’t have and this goes well beyond current standard practice (and is not what other brokers and banks required — they only asked for 6 months), Nicholas continued to demand additional paperwork, repeatedly blaming "the banks and lenders" for the extra requirements.
When I confronted him about this inconsistency, he admitted that lenders typically require a minimum of six months but claimed he wanted extra statements for the deposit source. The whole process felt unnecessarily obstructive. I genuinely felt he had taken a personal dislike to me with no apparent reason. When I mentioned that I already had an Approval in Principle (AIP) from another broker and that I didn't see why this should be an issue, he became visibly flustered and went red in the face. It came across as unprofessional and spiteful.
This confirms he was imposing his own extra rules rather than following lender requirements. The process felt unnecessarily difficult and frustrating, bordering on abusive given how inflexible and dismissive he was.
I understand due diligence is important, but this went far beyond reasonable requirements and felt personal rather than procedural. I would strongly advise others to avoid Mortgage Line and deal directly with banks or more reasonable brokers.

EDIT AFTER REPLY: "Thank you for the response. However, two other regulated brokers and a bank were able to process and approve my application with standard 6-month documentation, which suggests the extra requirements were not strictly necessary. I appreciate regulatory duties, but the process felt unnecessarily obstructive.
More concerning: I submitted a formal GDPR erasure request, which Nicholas confirmed in writing had been completed. Yet your reply states that you "personally reviewed my file."

2ND EDIT AFTER ADDITION: "Thank you for the addition. Noted that you confirm the data deletion was completed. However, the initial response stating a personal review of my file remains inconsistent with that confirmation. I will pursue this separately with the Data Protection Commission."

I can not thank Kevin from Mortgage Line enough for his help to lead us through the Jungle of getting a Mortgage in Ireland when selfemployed.

Anyone attempting it themselves must have headache 24/7 as Banks make it so difficult with the amount of requirements and other things they throw at you.

Thanks to Kevin and Aleksandra from the Closing Department, our Mortgage went smooth and ( for Irish Banks ) reasonably quick and I would highly recommend Mortgage Line.

Second time around using Mortgageline and they were just as good, if not better than the first time. Some things have changed from the first time around which has made life even easier which I didn't think could have been even possible.

EVERYTHING was online, even the initial meeting was through Teams. So no leaving work, getting stuck in traffic, looking for parking etc. Someone was there to guide you through everything with just a tap of a button. Nicholas was that person for me and he was fantastic, with great knowledge, understanding, experience and just a sound person explaining everything in simple terms.

All documents were uploaded via your phone, so no printing, no paper. It was completely different than before. Less hassle=less stress.

One thing I was thankful for was that I didn't have to do the ringing around for life assurance or mortgage protection, they did all that for you, which I'm glad because with my health, it wasn't the easiest to get and yes I was worried but once again they did all the ringing, following up and chasing for me. They took the stress of that from me. I honestly couldn't think of buying a property without mortgageline. Why put yourself through unnecessary stress when experienced people can deal with it for you. I have been told that buying a house is the most stressful thing you can do in your life. It's true!!! BUT, not half as much when you have Mortgageline on your side. Do yourself a favour, you won't regret it.

I was so lucky to have come across them. They worked tirelessly to get me the best mortgage with odds staked agaonst me i.e single and a house with no bathroom. They didnt give up and made me feel guided for every step. I could not have done this without them.
