I don't know how they can sleep at…
I don't know how they can sleep at night... We purchased a car from Motor Range Manchester in December. The vehicle was delivered on 16th December, and from the very first day of use we noticed an unusual noise coming from the rear of the car.
On 27th December, a tyre warning appeared on the dashboard and the vehicle became undriveable due to a completely flat rear tyre. Our breakdown cover attended and fitted the spare tyre, at which point a large visible gash in the tyre was identified.
Despite this happening well within the first 30 days of ownership, Motor Range stated that the issue was a puncture likely caused by external factors and refused to accept responsibility. They confirmed in their final response that they would not repair or replace the tyre and would not offer a refund. Communication throughout was poor, with missed call-backs and long delays, and we were left without a usable vehicle for an extended period.
As parents with a baby, this situation was extremely stressful, and the lack of urgency or ownership shown only added to the difficulty. Based on our experience and the handling of our complaint, we will not be purchasing from Motor Range again and would not recommend them to others.

We would like to clarify that while your vehicle was supplied with our standard 30-day warranty, punctures and tyre damage caused by external factors are not covered under the terms of this warranty. At the time of delivery, the vehicle underwent our pre-delivery inspection, during which the tyres were checked and confirmed to be within legal limits with no faults identified.
We appreciate that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, and we regret that this has caused you inconvenience. We are also sorry if our communication did not meet your expectations. This feedback has been noted and will be reviewed internally so we can improve our processes going forward.

Great sales and after care
Adam Made me feel at ease no question was too many. Very polite and helpful. Made the experience less anxious. Great after care too. Found a hidden fault on the car after I’d got home from collecting it. Rang the next day and was booked in. Fixed on the day I took it in. Great service.

We’d like to reassure you that we have been working hard to resolve the warning light fault on your Fiat 500. Our technicians initially believed the issue was caused by a wiring fault, so we replaced the battery sensor, but the warning lights suggest there may be a separate issue relating to the hybrid system. We are currently awaiting the vehicle’s return for further inspection so we can complete the diagnosis.
We have already agreed to buy the car back, demonstrating our commitment to putting things right for you.

My friend recently purchased a car from this dealership in Ashton, and her experience has been extremely frustrating from the start. The car had a warning light on from the moment she picked it up, but she continued with the purchase because it included a 30-day warranty. Unfortunately, despite returning the car multiple times, the issue was never properly addressed. Each time the car was handed back, the same warning light reappeared almost immediately.
In our line of work, having a reliable car is absolutely essential, so dealing with repeated faults has caused a huge amount of stress and inconvenience. What made the situation even worse is that it felt as though her concerns weren’t taken seriously. She kept bringing the car back, yet the underlying problem remained unresolved, leaving her without a dependable vehicle when she really needed one.
She is now at the point of having to return the car entirely and request a full refund, which is the last thing she wanted to do. Overall, her experience with this dealership has been very disappointing, and based on what she went through, I would strongly urge others to be cautious and make sure any issues are fully resolved before committing to a purchase.
