Disappointing Experience Due to Lack of Disclosure Despite Upfront Payment
I booked and paid upfront for an MRI with MRI Plus expecting a standard diagnostic MRI service based on how the service was presented online.
Only afterwards did I discover that an open MRI scanner had been used, which produces lower-resolution imaging compared to a standard closed MRI. This was not explained to me before the appointment, despite me specifically commenting at the time that I had never previously seen an open MRI scanner.
The professionalism and condition of the facility did not reflect what I would reasonably expect from a clinical diagnostic environment: the environment appeared unclean and the locker provided did not lock properly, which I raised directly with staff, particularly given the multiple notices stating that personal belongings were left at the patientâs own risk.
While a report was produced, the scan quality was not what I reasonably expected and I may now need to repeat the imaging elsewhere.
I raised my concerns directly with the company and requested a resolution, but my complaint was ultimately ignored.
I was also disappointed by the tone of the companyâs response when I raised my concerns. Rather than addressing the issue of non-disclosure and scan quality, the response implied that I had simply used the report and was subsequently attempting to recover the cost, which was both inaccurate and dismissive of the concerns I had raised in good faith.
I would advise others to clarify in advance what type of MRI scanner is being used and the expected image quality, to avoid the potential inconvenience and cost of needing repeat imaging elsewhere.

From entering the unit till leaving was faultless. I highly recommend using mri plus .

I would not recommend this place at all they give you report but not much written on it. Not enough information to past the report to the GPS . And the GPS would not take a seriously so to be honest it's a waste of money best to go somewhere else who would do the report professionally which GP's would take it seriously. I have given MRI plus 1 because 0 was not there. Don't waste your money at this place

Although I had a good experience at Hendon and the two people I met on the day were very friendly and helpful, can't say the same with the experience after my mri. Hadn't received the mri report on time, bad customer service, poor report, no replies on my email complaints, if you get in contact with a manager who promises to help, they never get back to you at all, multiple phone calls to which they take a message and nothing happens after that. Will not recommend. In process of seeking a legal advice.

I had a disappointing experience
I had a disappointing experience with MRI Plus. They did an MRI of my left knee in May 2025. With regards to my meniscus, the radiologist report mentioned a focal tear. Based on this info, I began physio. When things didn't improve sufficiently, I later saw a surgical consultant. He said the MRI images were of poor quality, yet still showed a clear bucket handle meniscus tear â something the MRI Plus radiologist report completely missed. A follow-up MRI elsewhere confirmed this. A bucket handle tear should be identified promptly, as it can sometimes be repaired if treated quickly. The fact that it wasnât flagged in the initial report delayed my diagnosis and treatment. For what it is worth, I did a search on the radiologist who complied the report, and see from his LinkedIn profile that he is based in a developing world country. I assume this, combined with the cheaper equipment MRI Plus uses is why they offer their scans for a slightly cheaper price than elsewhere. I have contacted MRI Plus to discuss this, but I never received a response. Based on my experience, I would not recommend MRI Plus and would advise others to consider alternative providers where image quality, radiologist skill and communication with the customer are taken more seriously.

Great service at MRI Plus Hendon
I suffer with severe claustrophobia and my consultant referred me to Hendon for an open MRI of my brain and neck.
I was there for 2 hours. Danny and his colleague could not have been kinder. So patient with me throughout, despite my tears and anxiety. A couple of my scans needed repeating as I had moved slightly. I never felt rushed . Danny kindly took me out of the scanner between each scan which definitely helped. I will be never be at ease with having a scan but if I needed to in the future I would definitely contact Hendon.I would highly recommend.

I requested that my images and report were sent to my GP surgery - which is only 3 feet away from Chartwell - and nothing has been sent to them. I have an appointment to discuss this with my GP. Then I tried to call today - impossible - goes through to endoscopy who then cannot transfer to reception as the line just goes dead !

I booked an MRI and arrived for my 10am appointment, only to be told, after waiting around, that all scans had been cancelled due to a power failure.
While I appreciate that technical issues sometimes happen, the team were aware of the problem earlier that morning yet made no attempt to contact me and save me a wasted journey. To make matters worse, they seemed unprepared and vague about what would happen next.
Their business model appears to be entirely price-driven, they offer some of the cheapest MRIs around, but this seems to come at the expense of basic customer service. I was recommended to them by my physio, but after this experience, Iâll be going elsewhere.
I had to call, email and chase to get a refund, and didn't even get an apology. Plenty of poor reviews and some good ones. You take your chances for sure!
